Party and Bullshit pt.2

Kayla's POV

Pulling up to Travis's house, it was clear this wasn't just a casual kickback—it was a full-blown party. Music blasted through the walls, and the front yard was packed with people. As soon as Nia parked her Range Rover, I hopped out, adjusting my clothes before smoothing my hair over my shoulder. Walking between Nia and Destiny, we strutted toward Travis's front door like we owned the place.

The door was already open, so we stepped inside, scanning the room for Chris and his crew. The air was thick with smoke and the scent of liquor, and bodies moved to the bass-heavy music. It didn't take long to spot Ty—his loud mouth made him easy to find.

"There they go," I said, leading the way over.

"Hey, y'all," Destiny greeted.

"What's up, mama?" Ty's eyes raked over her body, and he licked his lips. The hell? Watching them hug had me thrown—it wasn't just a friendly embrace. That hug was something serious.

Trying to shake it off, I smiled at the rest of them. "What's up, Aug? Ty?"

"Wassup, sis?" August leaned in, giving me a quick hug before pulling Nia onto his lap. How cute.

Ty threw up a peace sign before he and Destiny disappeared onto the dance floor.

I turned my attention back to Nia and August, but my eyes landed on Chris sitting nearby. His arm was slung around Jasmine—his Jasmine—while she clung to him like he was her lifeline. They were all cuddled up, and the sight made my stomach twist.

"Oh, so you can't even say hi, Christopher?" I shot, arms crossed.

Jasmine smirked. "Nah, he doesn't have to."

I clenched my jaw, biting back my irritation. "Chris, get your girl."

"Kayla, shut that shit up," he snapped, his jaw tightening. Yeah, he was still mad.

I glanced at Nia for backup, but she was too wrapped up with August to notice. Chris, on the other hand, acted like I didn't even exist. Fed up, I rolled my eyes and walked away, ignoring Jasmine's obnoxious laugh trailing behind me.

I found my way to the kitchen, where a variety of liquor bottles were spread out across the counter. Grabbing a red cup, I filled it halfway with Amsterdam, topping it off with Brisk. I downed it in one go, welcoming the burn. I just need a little buzz—if I don't, I might end up beating somebody's ass tonight.

A deep chuckle sounded behind me. "Slow down, baby girl. No rush—we got plenty," Travis said, nodding toward the bottles.

"I know. Just need a quick buzz." I ran my fingers through my hair, letting out a breath.

He smirked. "In that case, try some of this."

"What is it?" I took a cautious sip.

"Lean. Nothing serious, baby girl." His grin widened.

I hesitated, but then took another gulp. A warm, weightless feeling washed over me almost instantly, making me giggle. Everything was suddenly hilarious.

"If you come with me," Travis leaned in, his voice low, "I can give you something even better to make you feel good."

I wasn't thinking clearly, but in the moment, I wanted just that—to feel good. So, I followed him upstairs.

Chris's POV

Watching Kayla disappear upstairs with Travis had me feeling some type of way. But she's a grown-ass woman, and I ain't messing with her right now, so I let her be. Nodding my head to Chiraq by Lil Durk and Meek Mill, I took a sip of my drink.

"You wanna hit this, boy?" August asked, holding out the blunt.

I took a deep drag before passing it to Jasmine. Something about a girl smoking is sexy as hell—maybe that's just me. When she passed it back, I handed it off to Nia, then found my gaze drifting back to the stairs. Kayla still hadn't come down.

Shaking it off, I turned my attention to Jasmine, kissing down her neck. She let out a soft moan as I moved lower, sucking gently on her collarbone.

"Aye, take that shit somewhere else," August called out. "Ain't nobody tryna see all that."

I smirked, leaning into Jasmine's ear. "We'll finish this later." She nodded, eyes dark with anticipation.

Feeling the alcohol settling in, I got up to find the bathroom before my bladder exploded.

Kayla's POV

I sat on Travis's bed, exhaling smoke from my first-ever blunt. My head was spinning, my body light. I felt good—too good.

"You know what'll make you feel even better?" Travis's voice was thick with suggestion.

"Hm?" My eyes were low, my mind too cloudy to focus.

"This."

Before I could react, he pulled me down onto my back, climbing on top of me. His hands roamed my body, and alarm bells blared in my mind.

"What are y-you doing?" I slurred, trying to push him off.

"Just relax, baby girl," he murmured against my neck, pressing wet kisses along my skin.

"No—stop. I don't want this." I struggled to sit up, panic setting in.

A sharp sting exploded across my cheek. He slapped me.

"Just lay the fuck down, bitch. Stop moving." His hands fumbled with my pants, yanking them down.

Tears welled in my eyes. "Please don't—don't do this," I whimpered.

I was a virgin. I had always wanted my first time to be special. Not like this. Not with him.

His fingers slipped inside me, and I screamed, thrashing beneath him.

"I'm gonna make you feel real good, baby girl," he said, unbuckling his pants.

I fought harder, but my limbs felt weak, my head foggy from the drugs and alcohol. Was this really happening? Was this how I lost something so important?

A loud crash shattered the moment.

"WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING, BRUH?"

Chris.

Relief flooded me as Travis's weight was ripped off me. I wiped my tears, thanking God Chris had come.

Chris's eyes were wild with rage. "Kayla, baby, are you okay?" His voice was soft, full of concern. Sniffling, I nodded and quickly pulled my clothes back on.

Travis, still smirking like the sick bastard he was, wiped blood from his lip. "Damn, man, I was just about to get some virgin pussy." He laughed.

Rage and humiliation burned through me. "YOU SICK BASTARD! I HOPE YOU BURN IN HELL!" I screamed.

Chris's jaw clenched. "Oh, so you out here raping girls now?" His voice was deadly.

Without another word, Chris lunged, landing blow after blow on Travis's face.

August and Ty burst through the door. "What the hell is going on?" August demanded.

"H-He tried to rape me," I sobbed.

Both of them froze for half a second. Then, without hesitation, they joined Chris, beating the absolute shit out of Travis.

Nia rushed over, pulling me into her arms. "Oh my god, Kayla! Let's get out of here."

I barely registered anything as she led me downstairs and into her car. My mind was spinning, my stomach churning. I felt sick. Dirty.

The car ride was quiet except for my sniffles.

Still shaken, I rested my head against the window, silently thanking God that Chris had come in time. If he hadn't... I didn't even want to think about it.

I closed my eyes, exhaustion taking over, wishing this night had never happened.
