Why Are You So Rude?
11:50, 23 August 2023Once the final bell rang for seventh period, I made my way into the school gymnasium. I'm still upset that I fucked up PE grade my freshman year. Now I have to take this class as a senior. As a senior I should be chillan', just waiting to graduate. That wasn't the case since I didn't take anything serious freshman year.
Walking more into the spacious gym I took a look around the gym to see their school colors which were blue and silver splattered in each direction.
Both of the classes were all seated on the bleachers waiting for the teachers to take roll call and go over the syllabus.
Taking a quick glance at all the faces, I wanted to see if there were anyone familiar from my previous classes.
I spotted Nia and August sitting next to each other. Since I hit it off with Nia at lunch I decided to walk over to them. August seemed pretty chill too, way better than his weird ass friend Chris.
"Hey is it okay if I sit with you guys?" I asked once I reached them. They were sitting in the middle sections of the bleachers.
"Of course, it's Kayla right?" Nia asked scooting over a little bit so I can sit next to her.
"Yes." I smiled lightly taking a seat.
"Sorry, I knew your name. I was just making sure." She laughed. Nia was so pretty. The prettiest chocolate girl I've seen. She had long hair that stopped to the middle of her back. Nia wore a cute t shirt dress, a jean jacket, and some cute sandals to show her pretty pink toes.
"Don't worry about it girl, you're fine." I smiled reassuring her that I didn't take offense to it at all.
"So who else is in this class?" I said looking around peeping the scene.
"My boy Ty in hea' too." August said eating a bag of hot Cheetos.
"Oh, yeah. Chris too." Nia chimed in.
Are you serious? Chris? If Chris says some stupid shit I'm going off. I don't have the patience for his disrespectful ass anymore.
Our teacher Mr.Greene called out roll call and explained what he expected from us this year. It's crazy he had the same last name as me. All Mr.Greene asked from us was for us to participate in the activities he planned for the day and show up in dress code. Once he finished with announcements, he let us have free time. I pulled out my earphones and scrolled through Twitter and Instagram.
I took my attention from off my phone and glanced around the gym. I saw Chris and Tyga making their way up the stairs and over to where we were seated. I'm not going to lie, Chris and Ty are so handsome. But Chris? This boy is so handsome you can tell he knows it too just by the way he acts. Chris has pink full lips, freckles that danced over his cheekbones, black moisturized curls, and don't even get me started on the plethora of tattoos that were splattered across his arms.
The only thing that's pissing me off is his attitude. Such a handsome boy but with a shitty personality.
"Kayla Kay!" Ty exclaimed once his eyes landed on me when he made it up the bleachers. Chris following behind him, he just gave me a mean mug. As if I shitted in his cereal this morning.
"Thats me." I laughed replying to Ty. Ignoring Chris' entire being.
Ty walked over to me and gave me a hug. This man smelled so delicious. He definitely smelled like he was edible.
"That's crazy that we all have the same class, we're just missing Des." Ty said taking a seat in between me and Nia.
"That means y'all wasn't doing shit for pe freshman year." I laughed.
"No for real. I'm mad I have to do this shit over again." Nia said.
"Chris man, why you all the way over there?" Ty asked confused since Chris seemed all distant.
"I don't want to sit next to y'all." Chris shrugged while leaning back on the bleacher step that was behind him.
"Weird." Nia said loudly enough so he could hear.
"Right. He's been weird all day." I also said loud enough for him to hear me as well.
"Bitch shut up. I don't even know why you're talking to me." Chris said looking directly at me as if I was the only one that called him weird.
"You're going to stop calling me out my name. I don't know who you think you are but I'm not it." I growled. I didn't want to make a big scene. That's why I'm here now, for change. I decided before I moved out here that I will react to negative situations in a better way. This boy was really testing my patience.
"Okay? And? You think I give a fuck?" He smirked testing my buttons.
Ignoring his comment, I looked else where. I was done giving him anymore of my time. He was receiving more then he should at this point.
"Im sorry bout' my homeboy. I think he likes you." Ty said low enough for me and Nia to hear.
"Man Ty, that's what I was thinking I've never seen him act like this. Kay you're so pretty and that boy doesn't know how to flirt." Nia replied.
"Why are you hanging out with us? Don't you have any other friends? We don't like you." Chris chuckled to aggravate me more than I already was.
"How about you leave me the fuck alone! Not once did I even try to have a conversation with you and you're still bothering me? You're a weird ass bitch." I said with so much anger, he's been pissing me off all day. I'm over it now, I tried to ignore him but I needed to say that. Without saying anything else, I stormed down the bleachers and sat at a different section of the bleachers until the school day ended.
Chris Brown's POV
"Chris! What the hell is your problem?" Nia's loud ass asked.
"Nobody wanna hear that shit Nia." I said waving her off with my hand.
"You're such a dick. If you don't like her why you still pressing her?" She asked with attitude laced in her voice.
"If you like her just fucking say that." Nia said mushing me slightly while she walked passed me. I'm assuming she's following after Kayla.
I don't even have a problem with shorty, it's just fun to see how I can mess with her. All this shit is for jokes and laughs. Baby girl was bad though. She had long pretty hair, a pretty smile, and her ass was fat.
"Why you giving that girl a hard time?"Aug asked me.
"She seems coo' as fuck." Ty also said to me.
"Lowkey I would smash." Ty said laughing.
"I would too." I replied dapping him up because he wasn't wrong.
"This nigga is stupid." August laughed.
Kayla Greene's POV
"Are you okay Kay?" Nia asked once she made it to were I was sitting since I moved away from Chris.
"Yea' I'm good girl I just had to move before I put my hands on him. He's been trying it all day." I replied blowing out air that I didn't know I was holding.
The last thirty minutes of class, me and Nia just continued our conversation about any and everything that popped up in our heads. It took my mind off the anger I had building up in my chest that Chris was causing.
Once the final bell rang, I said my goodbyes to Nia and stayed clear from running into Chris again.
When I exited the school gates I received a text message from my mom.
Mommy:Walk home. I'm not off yet. 3:15pm
How? I don't know my way home. 3:15pm
Mommy: Find your way Kayla, you're not dumb.3:16pm
Ignoring her stupid ass message, I clicked on my gps app and typed in my address. I was already aggravated so I'm not going to let this get me more hyped than I already am. Once my maps loaded it showed that this walk home will be forty five minutes long. What in the actual fuck? I huffed and rolled my eyes. In frustration, I started my journey home.
Ten minutes into my walk home I heard a car behind me blaring their speakers. It sounded nice, it didn't sound like the raggedy car speakers you usually hear.
The car then pulled up beside me, I didn't know who this was I was kind of nervous.
"Kayla?" Chris said while he rolled the passenger side window down.
"What the hell do you want? Haven't you had enough being rude as fuck to me?" I spat, all my angry feelings were spewing out of me.
"I know, I just want to apologize. I took it to far ." He said still driving by me at the same pace I was walking.
I rolled my eyes and continued to walk. I ignored everything he tried to tell me.
Chris put his car in park and hoped out the car to try to stop me.
"Can I give you a ride home to make it up to you? It's the least I can do?"
"No." I said walking around him since he blocked me from walking.
"Come on ma', I said I was sorry. Just please get in." Chris said walking in front of me to stop me from walking again.
"Chris, just go. You said you didn't like me right? Stand on that." I shrugged looking up at him.
"I didn't mean it. I just wanted to piss you off." Chris said truthfully.
"Come on girl get in." Chris said once more while he opened the passenger side door for me.
I hesitated for a moment before he pressured me to get in once more.
"Okay, okay I'll get in." I rolled my eyes while I bumped into him on purpose before I got into his car which only made him laugh. I knew he was going to keep pressing me if I didn't get this ride home from him.
"Address?" Chris asked me once he was seated in the drivers side.
"Seven Gertz Ct."
"Okay coo'." Chris said after he put my address into the maps gps on his iPhone for directions.
"Kayla, I truly want to apologize. My mama didn't teach me to treat a woman like that." He said looking at me then back at the road.
"I accept your apology. Next time I won't be so nice." I sighed, not looking at him.
Chris finally pulled up near my house. I unbuckled my seat belt and gatherd my belongings. I turned to face him and thanked him for the ride home.
"I apologize again baby girl." Chris grabbed my hand before I got out the car.
"It's okay Chris, just don't let that shit happen again."
"I got you ma'."
I got out of his car and walked up to my doorstep. Fishing my keys out of my backpack, I opened my front door. Before I closed my door, I noticed Chris waited until I got in the house to drive off.
"What a long day." I sighed out loud. This day was so draining and I'm not even half way though my senior year yet.
