Contusion Lauren vs Subcontious Lauren Pt.8

Narrator's POV

As Dinah and Normani watched Camren kiss, Ally creeped up on them. When she was right behind them, she snaked her arms around their necks and said, "They're cute huh?"

Dinah and Mani both jumped in surprise.

"ALLY?!" They both said in unison.

"The one and only." Ally said smiling brightly.

"Where have you been?" Mani asked her, because she had not been informed of her where abouts.

"I went to go run an errand for Camila." The shorter girl explained.

"Right..." Dinah said remembering, "Did everything work out?"

"Yeah." Ally said pulling out the box. "I was even able to get them polished too."

"Oh..."Mani said realizing what Ally had left for.

"Great."Dinah beamed. "We're about to go to the next part, so bring them with you."

"Yes ma'm." Ally saluted. The girls chuckled at her.

"By the way..." She said eyeing the two girls who had been looking at each other lovingly on the ferris wheel. Clearly surprised that they have moved along pretty quickly in regards to kissing and their relationship. "What happened while I was gone? I swore they weren't even at first base when I left."

"Girl, you missed everything from Lauren going mute to Camila and Lauren having intense sex every 5 seconds...." Dinah said.

"WHAT?!" Ally said in disbelief.

"Yeah...we needed you and your holy water." Mani joked.

Ally waved her hand dismissively at them. "Oh you girls, I think you might be misinterpreting things..."

"No, really-" Mani began to say before she was interrupted by Camila who had just made her way back to them with Lauren at her side.

"Hey guys." Camila waved. "Ally did you-"

"Yeah." Ally confirmed. "It's all done. Do you want them now?

"No." Camila shook her head. "It's not the right time yet."

"Right..." Ally remembered. "And..." Ally said tentatively. "Is it uh true?"

"What is?" Camila asked.

"You know did you guys really do you know what already?" Ally said almost above a whisper.

It took a few seconds but Camila was able to process what she was implying. "No. Oh my god. What have they been telling you?"

"The truth." Dinah interjected. "I swear girl you should've been here. We needed you and your bible...Go figure, the day that reverend Ally is absent, all hell breaks loose with these girls." Dinah said shaking her head at us.

Lauren threw her hands out and signaled no while shaking her head repeatedly.

"Nothing happened I swear." Camila claimed.

"It's not good to swear, especially when The Lord is watching." Mani said quirking a brow.

"Oh my god guys stop it." Ally playfully scolded. "If they did..." Ally said glancing at Normani and Dinah. "Or even if they didn't..." She glanced at Camila and Lauren. "Why does it matter?"

"Um because it's Camren." Dinah said as if that was the answer to everything.

They all busted up laughing.

"That's not an answer." Ally giggled.

"Um yes it is." Dinah countered.

"D you swear Camren's the answer to a math problem." Mani said.

"It is." She said holding up two fingers on both of her hands. "Two...plus....two equals Camren." She said interlocking the two sets of fingers she had been holding up.

"Dinah!" Camila said, slapping the Polynesian playfully.

"It's true!" Dinah defended.

"Oh my god..." Ally said while regaining her composure. She looked at the time on her phone and saw that it had been getting really late. "Guys the suns going down in an hour and a half. We should get going before it ruins our timing completely."

"Shit." Dinah said face palming herself for letting herself and the girls get carried away. "Come on we need to leave now if we want to get this last scene in." She said motioning the girls towards the van.

Everyone suddenly got serious, realizing that, this was it. This last scene would determine everything.

When the girls had arrived at their home, they all changed into beach attire. Camila wore the same navy blue bikini that she wore on that day. Lauren, however, wore a simple pink bikini top, with black board shorts and a white tank top crop instead of her favorite sea green one that had been covered in blood and disposed of after the incident.

When everyone got situated in their new attire, they all walked to the beach. There, Camila's favorite brown dinosaur blanket had been laid down on the grainy sand; covering the sight of the scene. Above the blanket had been a tan, wood woven basket which had inside many delectable foods, the scripts and a little surprise.

The sea had been calm, wavering and peaceful. Surrounded under the large burning glob of light that seemed to set under a thin purple and orange cloud.

Camila smiled at the ocean remembering their day before everything happened. She remembered how much fun they had together, how much they both loved each other and how much this moment, meant everything to her. Despite the incident, it was the turning point in Camila's life where she had been able to realize that the person she's been waiting for all her life had always been right beside her.

She turned to look at Lauren lovingly, admiring her absolute beauty. It was then when she held Lauren's hand and brought the taller girl out of her own daze.

"Lauren..." Camila said unsure of where to start. "Here..." She continued, furrowing her brows.

"Here you both had fun and loved hard." Dinah finished for her, with a gentle smile. "Despite the potato showing up, it was your day. Let's keep it that way." Dinah smiled.

Camila was now sure of what she had to do. She was going to continue this day how it was supposed to end; with them.

"Let's...get wet?" Camila proposed looking at Lauren, awaiting her approval.

Lauren's smile curved up into a smirk as she took in Camila's words dirty mindedly. Despite having her head in the gutter, she knew what Camila intended to say and answered, "O-okay."

Camila smiled brightly before she started to run towards the water, pulling Lauren along with her.

After a few, mischievous splashes, soaking, and exchanging laughs, the girls joined in the fun for a while until Dinah had felt it was necessary to stop and continue the scene.

As Camila sat upon her favorite blanket, she did not feel safe at all. This little blanket that often saved her from the impending monsters of the dark and protected her against the moving figures from outside her bedroom window as child had no longer had the same effect on her. She was scared out of her mind. She was scared of failing, but more importantly of loosing Lauren, and perhaps for a long time.

Lauren sensed the rushing fear that flowed through the brown eyed girl. She was also a bit scared, but she knew that fate would take it's course and decide what's best for her. Besides, she knew that regardless of what would happen, Camila would never give up. And that, gave her the hope that one day, she would perhaps be able to love Camila the way she loved her.

Lauren placed her hand over the brown eyes girl's hand. She gave her a reassuring smile before she tried to say her line, "T-that was so muh-much fun."

"Lauren...you do realize that we almost died right?" Camila continued, in relief that Lauren started off.

She laughed heartily at Camila's eased expression and behavior. "N-no we didn't. Ah-And you've got to ah-admit that was f-fun... and that k-kiss-." She said reading off her script.

"Was perfect...." Camila finished practically from memory. "Your perfect." She smiled lovingly.

Lauren smiled and rested her hand on top of Camila's. " N-not as mu-much as you, Camz." She said, then, looked back at the script to refer to the next line. Lauren was confused, because there was nothing after her last line. But little did she know, that Camila and Dinah had devised and changed the ending before hand.

"Surprise." Dinah smiled. "There's an alternate ending! But before we get to that, you asked Mila to be your girlfriend and gave her a ring to prove your love. After it Camila was speechless but accepted regardless and was about to tell you something before, yeah." Dinah briefly explained.

"Oh..." Lauren said in realization of what was going on.

"Now, sorry for my interruption. Action!" Dinah said karate chopping the air.

Camila took a deep breath and retrieved the rings from the basket. She opened the case slowly and pulled out two silver rings. Lauren looked at the rings with wide eyes, there was just something about them that had a strong effect on her. Camila smiled as she admired them, then slid the ring through her finger. She twiddled Lauren's ring between her index finger and thumb. "May I?" She asked nervously.

Lauren smiled and nodded her head. "Y-you Ma-may."

Camila smiled and slid the ring through her girlfriend's finger.

She cleared her throat and held Lauren's hands in her own. Then looked deep into Lauren's eyes before she continued, "Lauren, You've been my best friend ever since we've met at boot camp. Little did I know though, that you weren't just my friend. You were my soulmate. We've been so oblivious all these years and too ignorant to ever admit it. It wasn't until the point of our first kiss until everything changed. Which in a way broke our promise. But trust me, it's been the best promise I have ever broken. Ever since then, I have slowly began to fall for you and then realized, that.... " Camila furrowed my brows in deep thought. " That wasn't true. And thats because... I had always been in love with you Lauren. And that's mostly because, We were never just friends...... People could argue it, but... friends don't sleep in the same bed together, or look at each other the same way we did, or hold and touch each other like we did. There... there was no way we could of just been friends Lauren. It took us until our first kiss to figure that out. Well you, it actually took me a bit more longer." Camila said laughing nervously, then continued "But I'm glad that we did because I don't think that I've ever loved anyone as much as I love you. You are what makes me whole lauren, the part of me that fills the void inside me. You make me want to be who I am. And I'm not ashamed of it when I'm around you. I feel like I can completely be myself with you, and not have to worry about what you'll think, because you love all sides of me. As I love all of yours." Camila smiled as she listed them in her head, "Everything you are Lauren, your smile, giggles, sarcasm, weird taste in food, intelligent mind and beautiful soul, all of it, I just simply adore it. And you know why? Because...... " Camila started to tear up, " Because I love you Lauren. I am truly, madly, deeply and foolishly in love with you."

Something came.

It hit Lauren like a ton of bricks.

Images.... they seemed to be images at first but then turned into something longer. They didn't come through as easy but they sure tried to make their way into her brain.

Lauren held her head and she winced in utter pain. All the girls had gathered around waiting attentively for Lauren's pain to subside but it didn't really seem like it would anytime soon.
