Part 16
19:40, 8 July 2019Just a perfect timing, a slow dance had just started playing as we walk through the crowd. We found a place not as far from the musician but enough for us to hide from the shadows, it was yet dim.
"I don't know how to dance" I chuckled.
"When you found the right partner, you will" he said.
I mentally laughed at his logics.
I found myself dreamingin silver and goldLike a scene from a moviethat every broken heart knows
The crowd became quiet, at least they followed the lead.
Bucky pulled me closer as he put his right arm on my back, his other arm held mine close. I put my free arm on his back as I supported myself and tried to watch my feet from doing nasty steps. Please don't make me step on his feet.
We were walking on moonlightAnd you pulled me closeSplit second and you disappearedAnd then I was all alone
I silently prayed from what the lyrics had said. I don't want to lose him, not when I....
"Hayley" he interrupted my own thoughts.
"Yes, Bucky?" I asked.
"Are you okay?" he held me tighter. Does he felt it?
I just nodded and snuggled closer as I rested my head on his chest. He, on the other hand, kept me being close to him and I felt nothing but joy and being safe for a while.
We continued dancing, if you call it one, when we were just swaying our bodies in slow rhythm.
"I hope this never ends" I heard him whisper. I smiled but I stayed where I was snuggled on.
If you only knew, Bucky.
I'm starting to pray that, somehow, nothing will come to cross our path and just leave us lost to have each other again.
"Hayley" he said again. This time I lifted my face to look at him, he tightened his grip in my hand with his metal arm which was hidden in glove. I had to make sure no one will see it. I was kinda prepared, of course.
"Yes?" I muttered.
"You seem tired. Tell me if you want to go home now" he smiled at me. I shook my head and rested it on his chest again, inhaling his scent. I bit my lip, thinking of how will I make this night longer for us.
"I don't care about what would people say but, can we stay like this until we get tired?" I giggled.
He let out a hearty laugh.
"You know we can't. But for my best girl, I'd do anything for her"
