the first soulmate

Harley Keener and Peter Parker walked in sync down the street, ignoring the awed looks they got. Harley seemed very excited to be meeting his friend again, however Peter was nervous which was almost ironic considering the calm and collected demeanour he slipped on.

Harley seemed to notice Peter's nervousness and he reached over and patted the boys shoulder as they entered the park. That simple gesture brought sense of safety to the young boys chest and Peter instantly relaxed.

As they wondered through the park they paused by a fountain. There hanging upside down on the stone wall was Madelyn Black, swinging her arms freely in the air.

Harley grinned at the sight of the girl and sped up. All of Peter's confidence had suddenly disappeared as he saw the beautiful girl. It also seemed that his heart pumped faster and harder.

"Maddy!" Harley called putting as they got closer.

Unfortunately Madelyn was taken off guard and she accidentally slipped off of the wall, plummeting towards the ground.

Just before she splat on the ground like a pancake, muscly arms caught the girl. As soon as Peter's skin touched Madelyn's, tingles erupted like fire dancing on their flesh.

Madelyn looked up to the doe eyed boy and smiled softly, thankful that he was her soulmate and not some random passerby.

Harley raised his eyebrows at the scene but inwardly smirked happily. He knew it.

Peter gently let down the girl and she straightened her black skater skirt with a sheepish smile.

"I'm Peter Parker." The brown eyed boy shyly said, holding his hand out to her.

"Madelyn Black, it's a pleasure to meet you mate." She pulled his hand into a hug. Caught off guard, Peter stiffened before slowly relaxing in her soft vanilla scented arms.

"What? No hugs for me?" Peter frowned as the warmth around him disappeared and he watched his soulmate hug his best friend.

He wasn't jealous, just cold. He needed her warm arms again.

"One down, three more to go." Madelyn mumbles making Peter's eyes snap up to her.

"Three more?!"
