Episode 5

TAEHYUNG POV

Do these two know each other by any chance? Xingwei? Who is this dude? Did these two know each other in China, maybe?

Xingwei takes a seat in front of Jing Li and they both talk for the entire class. The entire lesson drags, and I don't listen to a single piece as I am too focused on the two of them talking. She didn't once look over to me or check the texts I was sending to her secretly under my desk.

Who seriously is this guy?

Why do I care, you ask? Because I have an ex who is under the impression that me and Jing Li are dating and now she has all her attention on this Xingwei dude. If Jing Li gets close to him then Aera is gonna realise that we aren't actually dating and think that Jing Li is dating Xingwei. God, it wouldn't take her long to come up with that either because of how much she stalks me.

Oh god, what if Jing Li forgets about our agreement and actually dates this guy?

Suddenly, I feel something hit the back of my head. "Tae!" Jimin shouts, finally getting my attention.

"What the heck is wrong with you?" I exclaim, turning around, holding my fist up.

"Relax dude." Jimin adds, holding his hands up in surrender.

I sigh. How long have I been staring at her...?

"What did you want?" I ask, finally calm after my little outburst.

"Have you finally sorted everything about with Jing Li?" Jimin asks.

Yoongi laughs. "Of course he hasn't. Look how close she is with that new guy."

I hit his arm to shut him up. "She actually said yes." They all look at me with wide eyes.

"It's been a week and you're only just telling us this now?" Seokjin asks, his voice raising an octave at the end.

"You never asked." I stated watching Xingwei place his hand on Jing Li's shoulder. I bite my tongue and clench my fists at the sudden contact.

Jungkook nudges me. "Tell us then. How did you make her agree to it? Did you bribe her with sex or something?"

The boys all laugh. "That would have made her run away." Namjoon jokes.

"I'm leaving." I state, causing all of them to stop laughing.

"Leaving where?" Yoongi asks.

All of them stare at me awaiting my reply. I know they're all going to hate me for this but for the sake of my sanity and getting my obsessed ex off my back, I need to make this small sacrifice. If I don't, I think I'll end up doing something I regret.

"BTS."

All of them start kicking off at me for my reply. "You're leaving BTS for Jing Li?" Jungkook asks.

"God no you idiots. I'm leaving to get my ex off my back before I go completely insane. We agreed that we both need to be better people and the best way for me to do that is to leave the group. Once Aera is over me, then I can leave Jing Li and come back to you." I explain.

Jimin raises his eyebrow and smirks. "That could take months. You know, it all starts with you pretending. Sometime soon, you'll fall for Jing Li, and you'll never be able to recover. But by the looks of it, you already have some competition." He motions over towards Xingwei.

"Would you just drop it? I am never going to fall in love with Jing Li. It's just an act and why would I fall for her anyway? Looks like she already has feelings for that guy." I turn around and face the front of the class, ready for the next lesson to begin.

Jungkook places his hand on my shoulder. "Don't come to us crying then if you do." He takes his seat and the next class begins.

Throughout the rest of the lesson up until lunch, I focus on my work and getting the tasks done that was set. Even my teacher was impressed with how much work I got done. To be honest, I felt really good.

Oh god. That sounded geeky.

Once the class finished, I left the room and noticed Jing Li walking in the hallway alone. Finally!

"Jing Li!" I shout, running up to her.

"What's up?" She asks, calmly.

I run my fingers through my hair. "Can I talk to you? Up on the roof?" I ask. She nods and we quietly make our way up to the roof. My head is spinning right about now.

"What's wrong?" She asks, closing the roof door.

Instead of replying straight away, I walk around for a few seconds with my hands in my pockets before finally having the guts to ask her. "How do you know Xingwei?"

She takes a deep breath and sits on the concrete block next to us. "I met Xingwei in Taiwan. He was in that gang I told you about." Jing Li begins. "He was the only one who looked out for me in that gang and even tried to help me leave before I got into serious trouble but of course it was too late, and I was placed in juvie."

"But you looked so close in there. You looked like you wanted to hug him as soon as he walked in."

She giggles a little. "That's because he was my first love." Her smile after that statement made my whole body grow weak.

First love?

So, she actually fell in love with this guy?

I could feel my heart beating out of my chest and I felt like someone was holding it tightly. He's back now and this can only mean one thing...they'll get back together again.

Why would I care?

Once Aera is over me, they can do whatever they like. But why does this make my heart hurt so much?

I swear to God I will kill Jimin if what he said is true. I don't love her, and I swore I never would. This is a fake relationship and what she and Xingwei had was real.

"Taehyung?" She asks, knocking me out of my thoughts. "Are you okay?"

I look up at her and fake a smile. "Yeah, sorry. Just thought about something I needed to do."

Jing Li smiles at me. She climbs off the concrete block and places her hand on my shoulder. "Well, I have to go and meet him in the cafeteria for lunch so I will catch up with you later."

She turns around and jogs off down the stairs, leaving me on the roof.

What is happening to me? I didn't want her to leave, and I didn't want her to go to him.

I'm not jealous. I'm not in love. Am I?
