- AJ's POV

Clem left to go look at the place some more. I figured I'd finished looking around. There weren't any walkers, so I felt we were safe to explore at least a little. "AJ!" She whispered to me. I looked up to see her at the door. Sneaking up behind her, I waited for a sign of danger. "Hello? Anyone in there? We're coming in so don't shoot!" She raised her voice, trying to let the people inside know. If there were any. She used the pry bar she brought and, without much effort it looked like the locked door had cracked open. We both walked in cautiously, watching for any signs of life. It was empty. Well, that would be true if it weren't for the fact that two walkers were tied up to chairs near where Clem was. She knelt down to examine the scene further, to try and make sense of it, while I made sure no one or nothing else was in here with us. As I saw her read a note that was on the ground, my curiosity got the best of me and I walked over to her. "Did they give up?" I asked, looking around now with a tinge of disappointment in my stomach. "They... wanted to leave this world together." Clem said back to me as she stood up, leaving the sad sight.

After I checked all the food on the table, I made my way over to Clem, who was now trying to find a way into another locked room. "Can't pry that open..." She said quietly to herself, examining the security door. I looked over to the walkers, seeing something shiny. "Clem, look!" I said as my eye caught the keys. She looked over and walked to them, trying to grab the keys from the man, but failed. She walked back to the door, examining a ticket booth. "Hm... Too small to crawl through. Well, for me anyways. The key or the window." Clem said, but her mind was already half made up. "We should kill the monsters. They're not people." I said, walking back over to them. "Well, they were people. And as people they wanted to be left alone." She said, crouching down to my eye level. Clem shook her head and headed over to the walkers. She had already made up her mind. "I can't risk you like that when we have another option right here." She said as she plunged her knife into one, then the other. She grabbed the keys and walked over to the door, opening it with the keys.

After looking at all the supplies, Clem picked up a can, seeing if it was edible. It wasn't. A huge patch of mold grew on the can. "F**k" Was all I said, in an angered tone. I'd had enough of this moldy food and nothing but running and driving. All I'd ever wanted was a home. "Hey! Watch the swears!" She said to me, lowering her eyebrows, tossing the can aside. "I meant shoot." Despite my hunger getting the best of me, we could all agree that dealing with an angry Clem was the last thing wanted. "Clem!" I said, pointing to a latch that was covered by a mattress. "Floor door?" I asked as she moved the mattress to the side. "Yep. Floor door." We both crowded around the mysterious door, and as she pulled it open, I felt my eyes widen. Inside was a huge stash of food.

- Clementine's POV

I stared in amazement as I saw shelves of still- fresh food. But just as I decided to go down and get a better look, I heard a pin drop and saw a weird object come into view. As if time slowed down, I felt my heart pounding as I said "It's rigged!" Without any hesitation, I slammed the door shut and jumped to protect AJ just as the explosive went off. We coughed as our ears rung intensely, and our bodies ached from being thrown. "AJ... Are you okay?" I asked in a frightened manor, knowing that we had to leave, if he was okay or not. Thankfully he nodded and we ran out to the car. When we got there, however, it was already too late. Walkers had been attracted and now there was a herd forming. I quickly dealt with the ones in front of us, before getting to the car. I threw my things into the passengers seat in a hurry, trying to start the car. But as I did so, a walker had gotten to us, and, with my window being busted out, I was vulnerable. I reached for my knife in a useless attempt as I could no longer fend it off. With a swift stab, I had jabbed the car keys into the walker's eye. Now in neutral with no keys, we were rolling down the slope. The car was completely surrounded with walkers now, all of them banging on the car to get to us.

We smashed into another one on the way down. Coincidentally, the same walker with my keys jabbed into its eye. I kicked at the windshield, my leg getting quick jabs of pain while I kicked at the thick glass, which eventually broke. After I got the keys, I tried driving, tried getting away from them in a useless attempt. The slope was too steep. We flipped and turned as I tried to get a hold of AJ, but it was no use. My head pounded fiercely and I could hardly move. Every breath I took was agonizing. My vision blurring, I lost sight of my little boy.

When I awoke, I heard distant voices. Maybe they weren't distant? I couldn't tell. But now I saw AJ, laying on the ground unconscious. A pair of hands gently picked him up as I cried out for help. "Please.... Help!" Was all that managed to escape my mouth before I passed out once again. Even as I was unconscious, I worried about AJ and whoever picked him up. My body tensed as I felt a pair of warm, strong arms pick me up and carry me. Not knowing where I was made me slightly panicked, but the person holding me in their arms was somehow... Calming. I heard their heartbeat as my head rested on their chest, and before I knew it, I let go of the grip holding me onto consciousness.
