Chapter 47; Telling

*A Few Days Later*

*Alicia POV*

After several days in paradise, it was time to pack up and head back to cold New Jersey. I've had such an amazing time here.

I still can't believe that Phil and I are engaged. The only people i have told are Nikki, my mom, and Alaina. My mom and sister were thrilled when i told them the news. They really like Phil a lot.

It was only 8 AM and our flight didn't take off until 2 in the afternoon. Phil was still sleeping beside me, so i decided to hit the gym for a workout. 

I will be returning in a couple of weeks and i have a photo shoot to do when we get back. The photo shoot is for my new return promo.  I'm really stoked about getting back into the ring.

Also, i have an interview coming up on Ellen to promote all of the campaigns that WWE does, as well as my return. I know i will be asked some personal questions, but i'm okay with it.

I've been working out really hard lately, as well as practicing in the ring. I think that i have given myself enough time to grieve and heal.

It's crazy to think that our little boy would have been due in just 8 weeks. I'm trying to be positive about the whole thing though.

I slipped out of bed and left Phil a note;

Went to the gym downstairs.  Won't be too long ;)

I threw my hair back into a high ponytail and put on a pair of running shorts and a tight tank top. I grabbed my room key and headed down for the gym.

I went right to the treadmill and started running. I ran three miles in about 25 minutes before heading over to the bikes.  I spent about 20 minutes on them before heading to the StairMaster.

I turned it on medium and watched the TV's on the wall as i climbed up the stairs. I like that machine just because it makes your butt look good. 

After i was done i was walking through the gym before being stopped by a guy. "Hey. I couldn't help but notice how cute you are," he said with a smile.

He was about 6'0 and really buff. He had light blonde hair and electric blue eyes. "Well, thanks," i said softly. It was really awkward being hit on because i'm engaged...

"I'm Jeremy," he clarified as he shook my hand. He had a very firm grasp.

"I'm Alicia," i responded as i flashed a little smile.

"You have very nice eyes," he said smoothly.

"Thanks," i said trying to be polite. I have no intention of having a full conversation with him.

"Maybe we could go out sometime," he suggested as he winked at me. I obviously needed to set the record straight...

"Jeremy, you seem nice and all, but i am happily engaged," i said as i held up my left hand exposing my ring.

"So?" he said as he scoffed at the idea of commitment. I laughed at him before starting to walk away. 

He placed a firm hand on my wrist and pulled my towards him. I nearly fell to the ground, because he was so strong.

"Let me go," i said between clenched teeth. I was really getting angry with him now. He went way too far.

"Or what?" Jeremy asked teasingly. He teased, but it was more of a mean kind of teasing. 

"I'll kick your ass if you don't let her go," said a very familiar voice. I spun around and saw Phil standing there in his gym clothes. He was seething. 

I felt the grip on my wrist loosen and i pulled away and ran over to Phil. He wrapped an arm around my waist protectively and whispered, "Did he hurt you?"

I shook my head no, but he was still so angry. "Please don't flip out on him," i pleaded. "Okay, i won't," He said as we walked away.

I kinda dig that Phil is very protective when it comes to me. He isn't too aggressive, but just the right amount. I think it is really cute actually.

We walked back up to our room and began packing up our stuff. It didn't take too long because we were packed for a couple of days.

"Did you have fun?" Phil asked as we flopped down onto the bed.

"Of course i did, thank you for everything," i said as a squeezed his hand.

"What was your favorite part?" he asked with a coy smile.

"When you proposed on the beach, forsure," i sad clarifying. "I also liked being able to spend all this time away from everything and everyone."

"Couldn't agree more baby," he said as he rolled over next to me and ran his fingers through my hair. 

"i love when you do that," i said with a giggle. 

"How about we head to the beach for a few hours before we leave?" he suggested.

"That'll be fun," i said as i went over to my suitcase and pulled out a bikini. I put on a teal ruffle strapless bikini top with matching bottoms.

We drove to the beach and grabbed some chairs out in the sun. We laid down and he took my hand as said, "I want you to know how much you mean to me."

I blushed a little before saying, "You are so freaking corny." 

"Whenever i try and be sentimental," he said with a chuckle. I love how we can joke around about everything.

I took out my phone and asked a lady to take a picture of us together. She took a cute one of Phil with a hand around my waist and us smiling happily. 

We laid back down and i opened up twitter a posted it;

I haven't been as active on twitter lately. "You look pretty hot babe," i said with a smirk.

"Well don't i always?" he asked jokingly.

Phil and i got up after an hour of tanning and headed into the water. It was a refreshing cold sensation that sent chills down my spine

We swam for a little bit and then went back to the hotel for our stuff.  I was really bummed about leaving beautiful California, but i had to get back home. It was an amazing trip that i will obviously never forget. We took lots of pictures while we were there, so i will probably make a scrap book.

*Two days later*

I'm still a little jet-lagged from the flying, but i feel pretty good. Phil left yesterday to go back on the road.  Today i have my interview with the Ellen Show. Then tomorrow, i have to photoshoot for my return promo

Both of them are in NY, so i don't have to go too far thankfully.

I got dressed for the interview pretty quickly. I pulled out a white strapless dress that flowed from the waist down. I added a cute black belt to go with my black peep toe pumps.

As for my hair, i loosely curled it and brushed my bangs to the side. i went pretty minimal with my makeup as well.

*One hour later*

After tons of traffic, i finally got to Ellen's temporary hub in NY. Everyone was so warm and welcoming there, it was great.

I was told to wait backstage for my cue to come out.

"Today we have a very special guest,"  Ellen announced happily. "We have WWE Diva Alicia Marquez here!"

I walked out with a big smile and waved to everyone in the audience. I gave Ellen a big huge and then I took a seat on the couch across from her.

"So good to finally meet you," she said sweetly.

"Likewise," i replied.

"So tell us about yourself and what you do for the WWE," she said.

"Well i am a pro wrestler and i am a former women's and diva's champion. I've been with the company for several years now and i love it," i said with a big smile. The audience cheered after i had said that.

"What is your favorite thing about the business?" she asked.

"I love participating in the Be a Star and Make a Wish programs. Anything where we can give back to the community is amazing. It really warms my heart to make others to happy," i responded.

"What is the Be a Star campaign for those who don't know?" Ellen asked.

"We go around and talk to children about anti bullying and basically being a friend to everyone," i answered.

"So you have your return coming up," Ellen mentioned.

"Yes and i am very excited to get back into the ring," i said happily.

"Now i know this is a touchy subject for you, but can you tell us why you were gone and what happened?" she asked.

I felt my stomach tighten, but i knew i had to. "Yes, of course. Well five months ago i found out i was eight  weeks pregnant and i was very excited. I obviously had to relinquish my title and take time off. Things were going so smoothly and i found out i was having a baby boy. Then at my 16 or 17th week checkup, the doctor said he had no heartbeat. They don't really know why, but it was devastating. It has been about three months since my miscarriage and i am getting stronger everyday. It's hard but i have my best friend to get my through it," i said as i got a little choked up.

The audience and Ellen started clapping wildly after i shared my brave story. "You are so strong Alicia, it's crazy. I commend you for being strong enough to share your experience," she said.

"Thank you so much Ellen," i replied as i perked up a little.

"Now you mentioned your best friend, are you referring to your boyfriend CM Punk?" she asked with a grin.

"Yes, i often call Phil my best friend. He was there for me through everything. I can never repay him for that," i said as i felt my heart beat accelerate. 

The audience let out a series of 'Awww's. "Do you see yourself marrying him?" she asked.

"Actually... we are already on that path," i said as i held up my hand showing off my ring.  

"Holy cow! Look at the rock!" Ellen exclaimed as she held up my hand. "I need details."

"Well we were just in San Francisco for a vacation and after dinner one night he took me to the beach and said he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me," i said.

"That is too cute. Well best of luck to you and Phil. Also, we wish you the best of luck when you return to wrestling in a few weeks," Ellen said as she hugged me and the camera turned off.

"Pleasure to meet you Ellen," i said with a big smile.

"No, it was my pleasure. Thank you for sharing your story with everyone. It was a very courageous thing to do," she responded.

I couldn't be more excited for my return and our wedding!!
