Chapter 44; Vacation

03:22, 8 September 2013

*A few weeks later*

*CM Punk POV*

Things have been a lot better as of late. Alicia has been feeling happier ever since she started going to therapy. I still think about my little boy every day though.

People were really surprised to see Alicia come to that even a few weeks back. They didnt expect to see her for a long while. I think that it was good for her to see everyone though. She admitted that she misses being in the ring.

Alicia is planning to return in about four weeks time. She's been working out really hard and has gained some of the weight back. She definitely looks a lot healthier than she did before. Overall, she's in a much better place.

I thought it would be a good idea to surprise her with a vacation to California tomorrow. I wanted to have the vacation before my birthday next week. We are spending my birthday in Chicago with my friends.

In case you didn't know, I don't have the best relationship with my family. I left home when I was very young and lived with my best friend.

But anyways, I turn the big 3-5 next week. I can tell that Alicia has been plotting birthday surprises for weeks now. I'm not really sure what she has in store though. I don't think she will be expecting this vacation though.

*Alicia POV*

The sharp pains have slowly been going away. I still cry and sob occasionally, but not nearly as much as before. I am able to keep my composure most of the time. I've begun to realize that you just get used to the pain and after a while it isn't as sharp.

This morning i awoke to find Phil not asleep beside me. He has been flying back to be with me in between shows, He really has been terrific. For his birthday next week, i bought him amazing seats at the Cubs game as well as some other presents.

I grumbled as i got out of bed and folded all the blankets nicely. I walked into the kitchen and saw Phil making us breakfast.

"Well this is unusal," i said with a laugh. Phil was never really one to cook.

He chuckled and responded with, "The pancakes may be burnt, but at least i tried."

"You are so adorable, Phil," i said as i sat on the barstool by the counter. He flashed me a smile before flipping over the pancakes onto a plate. I got up and grabbed two glasses and filled them with orange juice. He sat beside me and we chowed down on the dark brown pancakes.

"Ya know these aren't too bad," i said with a grin.

"Maybe i just lowered your expectations," he joked.

I  sipped my orange juice for a while as i flipped through a magazine. "I have a surprise for you babe," he said happily.

"What is it?" i asked with a hint of confusion. Phil is not one for surprises, so that seemed strange.

"I'm not giving too much away. Pack your suitcase for warm weather and beaches," he said as he got up and went into the bathroom. I heard the shower turn on and i hopped off the stool and ran into the bedroom.

I dug through his bag and saw two boarding passes for California!!
