Chapter 16

The next day...

Rachel's POV

I knock on Ross' apartment door. I pace and pace until Ross finally opens the door. A smile instantly forms on his face. God it's going to kill me knowing I'm going to make the smile disappear within a matter of minutes. "Hey Ross. May I come in?" "Of course you can. Would you like anything to drink?" "I'm okay. I actually came over because I have something I need to tell you."

I take a deep a breath. "Okay here it goes.... Joey and I were up late last night going back and forth about this, but we finally came to an agreement at 1 in the morning. We both think it's best if you don't come to the wedding." Instantly, Ross' smile disappears and look of hurt replaces it.

"Come on Rach, you guys can't do that to me." I hold my head in my hands. "I'm sorry Ross, but I don't have any other choice. I can't take the risk of having you at the wedding just to ruin it. We never said we wanted to cut all ties with you, but we have to uninvite you. I'm so sorry Ross."

Ross gets up and points a finger at my face. "Let me guess, Joey put you up to this. He brainwashed you to try to hurt me. Well guess what, it worked. Hell I'm beyond hurt right now. You may as well do me a favor and just leave. Looking at you causes me pain." I nod and leave without saying a word or looking back. I now see that this is the beginning of the end of my friendship with Ross.
