Odd One Out: Kang Haneul Fanfic (Actor)

Intro: Your senior class project was to create a band and perform. Due to the fact that you weren't full bloded Korean, let alone Korean period point blank, made you the odd one out. You sat there day dreaming about your little crush Kang Haneul as if he was approaching you.

"Ummmm. Excuse me?" he asked.

        You sat there still staring out the window not even noticing that Kang Haneul was waving his hand in front of your face to get your attention. You finally turned to the front to find Kang Haneul standing right in front og you. You gasped as you stared at his face thinking that the Gods can be so unfair as the create their creations.

"H-Hi," you stuttered.

"Umm. Songsaengnim told me to put you in my group so..." he said.

"Okay," you said and followed him to his group.

"You guys this is _____________. _______________, this is the group: Sera, our main vocalist and guitar, Kris the sub vocalist and bass, Kim the drummer, Kang Jun the piano, and me the vocalist and bass." he said.

"Hello," you said.

        They all nodded at you and continued doing whatever they were doing. You watched Sera as she continued watching you, looking at you with hate. Her brown hair cascading to the side. Then there was Kim who was this tough girl who takes her anger out on the drums, then there was Kang Jun who was this quiet kid who would not say anything, and then you had Kris who was this freakinshly tall ass mother fucker. And then there was Kang Haneul, the one that you thought could be a descendent of the Gods.

"So can you sing?' Kang Haneul asked.

"I usually don't sing," you said.

"Bass?" he asked.

"No," you said.

"Keyboard?"

"Nu-uh,"

"Drums?!" he asked in frustrations and you shook your head in response.

"Tambourine?!" he nearly shouted.

"What is that?" you asked.

        All their reactions were the same: wide eyes, mouths opened.

"Oppa! Don't talk to her! She just wants to be in your group because she likes you!" one girl shouted.

"Yeah Oppa she is right. Do you see what she writes in her journal?" another asked.

"She writes __________ and Kang Haneul forever in a heart.!" they said and everybody started laughing.

        You felt ashamed and ran outside crying. You heard footsteps follow but you outran them. You stopped and began walking. You would always sing when you were hurt, alone, bored, or tired. And that's all you did. So you began singing "If I Ain't Got You" by Alicia Keys.

"Some people live for the fortune, some people live just for the fame," you bagan continued the song.

Next Day at Practice:

"What do you mean Sera left?!" Kris said.

"She left to other team because we are going to lose because we have a rookie!" Kim said.

        You sat there knowing that they were referring to you about them losing. You sat there silent.

"So who is going to sing besides Haneul?" Kris said.

        You got up and walked out the door. You bumped into Sera as she looked at you and gave you a wicked grin.

"I see you switched teams," you said.

"I did because if I stayed in the team, we would lose because of you," she said harshly.

"We'll see about that," you said.

        You both went into the room and you grabbed the mic. She looked at you confused and began laughing.

"You can't sing!" she said and everybody else started laughing.

"We'll see about that," you said confidently.

        Everybody's face was the same. Mouths wide open and their eyes huga as saucers. You smiled and put the mic down. You walked up to Sera and grinned. Her eyes were wide as everybody lse. You began laughing.

"Still think I can't sing?" you asked and walked away.

"You may sing but you're not that powerful asme," she said with so much confident.

"Is that a challenge?" you asked with a grin on you face.

        She looked at you and smiled. Everybody looking from you to Sera dn then back o you.

"Yeah it is," she said confidently.

        She went to grab the mic and started singing. She sang Alicia Keys' sing "If I Ain't Got You". She then finished the song and then she looked at you. You grabbed the mic fom her and stood there choosing a song. You plugged up your phone and played "Heeya" the song that Hyorin covered on "Immortal Song". You began singing your heart out, matching the key that Hyoin did, maybe a bit lower, and then when it cam to the part where you had to hold the note for quite some time. You breathed in and then let it all out. Looking at Sera, her eyes big and her fists clenched. You ended it and looked at eveybody. You smiled and went to the phone and played "That One Person At That Time". The instrumental was slow and very mellow, you started the song off slow but when it gained momentum, you gave it power. the song ended and you stood there and all Sera could do was storm out.

"Bye," you said in a kid like voice.

        As Sera rushed out, she bumped into Kang Haneul.

"Sera, what are you doing?" he asked smiling.

        She looked at her and then at him and stomed off. Kang Haneul came into the room and saw you waving. His smile faded.

"What did you do?" he asked harshly.

"Nothing," you said.

"Oppa! She can sing!" Kim said.

"Yeah she beat Sera in her own game," Kris added.

"She sings like Hyorin and raps like Tasha!" This is a dream!" Kang Jun said.

"I'll believe it when I actually witness it," Kang Haneul said.

"Here, I video taped everything!" Kim said with excitement.

        After a few minutes, he took off the earphones, looked at you with the same expression like everyone else, and stood there.

"I thouht you said you can't sing," he said.

"I said I don't sing, I didn't say I can't sing," you said and smiled. 

        Without noticing, you felt your body being engulfed in a tight hug. He began laughing and you didn't know what to do but put your hands on his back. You guys began practicing, weeks passed and the performance was coming up.

Day Before Performance:

"Oppa, I don't think you would like to be in the same goup as a convict," Sera said as she came into the classroom.

        You sat there dumbfounded and still. Nobody knew that the reason why you moved to Seoul was becauseyou were an escape convict. Nobody knew. You sat ther, your eyes wide.

"What are you talking about?" Kang Haneul asked.

"____________-shi is a convict from the States." Sera said and looked at you smiling.

        You got up and ran out as you were ashamed at the news that was now heard. You ran for a few minutes to an alley way. You walked for awhile and then stopped. You kneeled down and began crying harder. You got up from the corner and began walking. You walked your way home. You tuned the corner to see Kang Haneul a the fron of your door talking with your mom. You saw her shaking her head and then she closed her door and he turned around to see you. He looked u and saw you. You saw him and your eyes met for just a few seconds but then you began running.

"_________________!" he yelled from the back.

        You continue to run as you were being chased. You continued to run. The only thing that you were thinking was to keep on runin from him as if he was a cop. just like how you ran away from the cops in the states. You began walking from exhaustion and sat at a bench in the park.

"Nobody wants to alk with me?" you said to yourself "Nobody! Who would hang out with a criminal?"

        You got up and began walking. Absent mindedly, you walked into someone. You looked and apologized and continued walking.

"I don't think I can sing tomorrow," you said about to cry.

        The breeze rode past you and your dumb self decided not to wear a jacket. You continued walking as it began to rain. The cold water spread across your shirt. Your name was called form the back and you saw Kang Haneul. You tried to run by going on the street but cars raced by. You were pulled back as you stepped in front of a delivery truck.

"YAH! Are you crazy?" he asked you nearly shouting.

        You looked at him and pushed him away from you. You began walking as he followed you.

"Go away! STALKER!" you shouted "STALKER!"

        You quickened your pace and ran across the street. Your wrist was grabbed and he led you to a cafe. You waited ouside as he went inside to get you a cup of warm beverage. He returned to find nothing. Just the cold air.

"AISH!" he said in frustration and went looking for you.

        He ended up at your house and knocked on the door. Your mom answered the door and she smiled.

"Is ___________ here?" he asked.

        Your mom's smileed and then disappeared and she shook her head in response. She then grabbed her phone and called you.

"Hello?" you answered through the phone.

"Where are you?" your mom asked.

"I'm with the band leader," you said.

"You're lying because he is right in front of me," your mom said "Where are you?"

"I'm on my way home," you said and hung up.

        You turned the corner and saw your mom waiting outside with Kang Haneul. You walked into view. Both of their heads raised. You walked in front of them but past them going into the house.

"Do you think she will perform tomorrow?" Kang Haneul asked your mom "We really need her,"

"I don't know if she will now. What happened at school to make her act this way?" your mom asked.

        Kang Haneul relayed the story from you beating Sera in her own singing competition to Sera blurting out your past and then to you running away from him when you guys were at the cafe.

"I'll talk to her to see if she will still participate tomorrow," your mom said and walked inside.

Next Day:

"______________. Wake up and go to the performance." your mom said.

"Never," you yelled through the shut door.

"Then would you oike to be known as that person that you were known as in the states?" your mom said.

        You got up and went ot the door and opened it. Your mom was standing at the door.

At The Auditorium:

"I see your vocalist ain't here yet," Sera said as she walked down to the stage.

"I see your still the one that got beaten in her own game still," Kim said.

"YAH! You want to fight?" Sera asked.

"Try me. You know for a fact that I'll win. You can't evenstand up for yourself like that one day" Kim said "Remeber that day?"

"I don't know what you're talking about," Sera denied it quickly.

"Oh but you do," Kim said "Let me give you a hint Jealousy over Kang Haneul and  ____________"

        Without saying a word, Sera abruptly walked to the stage. She walked to her group and then she pointed and they came to Kim.

"I heard you was picking on ou girl," they said to Kang Jun.

"Well she told you wrong because I did and if you have a problem with that see me about somehting then," Kim said and hey immediately backed away "Can I buy a vowel?"

        They left to the stage and Kim sat there. Kang Haneul came and sat with them.

"Any luck with ____________?" Kang Jun asked.

        He shook his head in response. He looked at Sera and looked at his phone.

Your Goup's Performance:

        The goup was already on stage. They began singing their part wondering where the flippers were you at. when it came to you part, you stood at the corer where nobody could see you and began singing into the mic. Everybody looked from left to right. They looked as you came into view.

"♪OH MA BOY, OH MA BOY BABY! ♫" you sang "♫ DON'T LET ME DOWN, OOH BOY, ♪"

After The Performance:

        You all came out recieving an A. Kang Haneul came up to you and hugged you. I knew you would always be the odd one that nobody knew about and took you hand and led you out.

Note: This fanfic is super long! I'm so sorry and just by reading it, I know for a fact that it wasn't my best. I promise to do better! FIGHTING!
