"I'm telling you, guys, that party was a blast." One of your friends, Cody, said with an excited expression, spreading his hands as you and two others were sitting in the school's cafeteria. "I can't believe none of you wanted to go. But I guess, more girls for me." A smirk spread across his lips and you mentally raised your eyebrows.

He'd been talking about a party that one of the cheerleaders had hosted on Saturday for the whole day. You tuned him down a good couple of hours ago, but it was getting boring to hear one and the same thing over and over again.

Especially, when you and the rest of your friends didn't care to know anything about it and knew how he liked to exaggerate sometimes. Parties also weren't exactly your style, you'd rather do something else than be around loud and drunk people.

It didn't mean you wouldn't go to one if you were in the mood and your friends wanted to go as well.

"The imaginary ones?" Charlie bit back, causing another friend in the group to laugh, including you. Cody's face dropped in annoyance, but nobody seemed to care.

He had always been the first to laugh at others but never liked it when he had gotten the other end of the stick. You and your friends got used to it, which didn't mean you all liked it, but you just didn't care to...care.

Surprisingly, he got back in a good mood fast as he smirked widely again. "Actually, if you want to know so badly, I got in a hot cheerleader's pants." Informing everybody, he started leaning back on his chair, hands tangled together behind his head.

Jack and you got quiet as Charlie snorted, putting her cup down. "Yeah? Whose?"

Cody shrugged nonchalantly, putting his arms on the desk and leaning on them. "Oh, you know, just that hot brunette, one of the leading cheerleaders."

There were only two leading cheerleaders, mostly because one of them had gotten that position and had wanted her best friend to do it with her. His words picked your interest. "Maximoff? You're bullshitting." Jack chuckled and shook his head as everyone thought the same about the story.

Cody looked very confident and sure of himself as all of you assumed he was lying or exaggerating again. "It didn't seem like it when she moaned my name."

That you didn't like. It was one thing when he bragged and another when he spread things like this that might not have happened. And even if they had happened, he wouldn't have had to tell everybody.

"Are you sure it wasn't just your hand using your voice?" Charlie asked, not convinced of your other friend's story.

"I'm sure he had some one-on-one with it." You threw in, trying to laugh at the situation, but you were nowhere near being amused at this moment.

He tried to play it off like he didn't care, but you could see that what you and your friend said bothered him. "You can laugh all you want, but it was me who she begged for more." You really needed him to get quiet before you'd go off on him.

Your annoyance was building up in you and it was as if Charlie could sense it when she glanced at you and back at Cody. "We know you hear and see things you want sometimes, it's okay, no need to be embarrassed about your private time with yourself." Jack burst out laughing, pushing Cody further and making him scoff loudly.

You chuckled to yourself hearing Charlie's words. You'd never liked false rumors being spread around about someone and you didn't appreciate that someone who was called your 'friend' was one of those people.

"You all are just jealous." Raising your eyebrow, you looked at him with an unamused expression.

"I don't think any of us would want your hand, buddy, you can keep it." You joined in, Jack was still rolling in laughter, before you noticed a certain girl walk into the cafeteria with her friends.

She was animatedly talking with one of them, giggling and gesturing with her hands as they were coming up to get food.

Your eyes went back to your friends just to see grumpy Cody slouched down on his chair and picking at his food with Charlie patting him on his back.

"Are you still up for swimming today?" Jack asked you, throwing a fry into his mouth and grabbing more.

You nodded, getting some as well. "Yeah, I just need to get my sister from school and walk her home. You wanted to go later in the day anyway, right?" You scrunched your eyebrows in question, getting a nod from your friend in return. "I'll text you when I'm ready then."

As you finished the sentence, the bells for the next class went off. Everybody started gathering their things and getting up. "Okay, let's go for another round of bullshit." You muttered to your friends, causing them to chuckle before all of you began walking out of the school cafeteria.

——

The wind was blowing against your face as you were walking with your hands holding small feet that were dangling from your shoulders.

"How is it up there?" You tried to look up while asking, but the sun instantly blinded you and quickly changed your mind.

The sound of sloppy slurps filled your ears and you smiled to yourself, looking ahead and not stopping your walk. "It's awesome! Thank you for the treats, Hunty." The words were followed by the feeling of a small hand touching the top of your head before a kiss landed on it.

The gesture warmed your heart and you squeezed the tiny feet back. "You're welcome, Bug."

After your last class, you had gone to pick up your little sister from school. It was supposed to be a straight walk home, but both of you had changed those plans very quickly. The small trip to an ice cream shop made both of your days better as none of you had the best time at school.

One of your sister's teachers had prevented the possible arrest of her after one of the girl's school friends had put their dirty little hands—as she had said it—on her things.

She was the sweetest girl in the whole world until someone didn't understand that a no was a no. That was usually when her temper would kick in. You had to admit that you were always proud of her and for standing up for herself.

Sometimes you had to talk to her and let her know that attacking people without a reason wasn't good, just to remind her not to get used to that and start going too far.

But you would never scold her for defending herself and her boundaries. Even when her teachers would ask you multiple times to try to 'handle it', but you'd always ignore it.

So that was how you ended up with a little troublemaker on your shoulders and her ice cream in her hands.

Cars were passing both of you as you kept talking and laughing with her excitedly describing the project one of her teachers had given her. You heard another car getting closer to you as you focused on not walking into anything or anyone.

"And, and, I moved it faster and it just—Bam!" A slap connected with your forehead, as her story was getting a little bit too real, causing you to close your eyes and rub your forehead with one hand. "They crashed, Hunty!"

You heard her enthusiastic shout, hoping no more special effects would join in. "That's awesome, Bug." You said back, trying to get rid of the stinging sensation on your skin. Maybe she was small, but she most definitely wasn't weak.

As she kept on with her story, you heard a car coming to a stop next to you before a window rolled down. "Hey, stranger. Need a ride?" A flirtatious voice sounded from the car and you turned your head to face the person.

"Depends, is it for free?" A smirk spread across their face in a split second before they leaned on the wheel.

"Kinda, you can pay me in nature."

Your eyes widened as you gave the girl a look. "Wanda! There are children around." You whisper-shouted, making the girl chuckle with a sweet smile.

Meanwhile, your little sister was staring ahead with a very confused look on her tiny face. "In nature?" Her little voice reached your ears and you started fearing the next questions. "I thought people pay in money, Hunty." She said, more like in a questioning tone, while looking down at you.

A frown still evident on her face as her small hands were grasping your hair for balance.

You mentally sighed while closing your eyes. Wanda's laugh only got louder as your sister was still trying to figure out the meaning.

You opened your eyes and saw the brunette smile sweetly at you before she leaned out more and her eyes moved up to your sister. "Hello, Katie. How are you up there? You are so much taller than the last time I saw you." Your sister giggled at Wanda, finding it funny and cute.

"I'm great! We got ice cream!" Excited shouts almost burst your eardrums, but you'd fight through it.

"That's so cool! I hope you like it." Kate kept enthusiastically talking about her awesome ice cream as Wanda listened to her rambling.

You just stood there with your eyes jumping from one to another and looking around from time to time. You were glad there was nobody around with the way your sister was basically shouting.

"I hope next time I'll be able to join you for ice cream." Wanda added, talking to Kate, but glancing at you.

"Yeah! It will be so awesome! Right, Hunty?"

You shook your head with a smile and agreed with the little human on your shoulders before you took her off of them and held her. "So? Do you want a ride?" The brunette asked again, subtly wiggling her eyebrows—or not so subtly—as you noticed your little sister doing the same at you, making you stare at her in confusion.

"Do you?" Her little voice added.

You tried to use your hand and make her eyebrows stop, but she just leaned closer and did it more. "Yes, I do." You sighed, chuckling.

"Yay!" Kate wiggled out of your arms and ran to the backseat door before basically jumping in while you started getting in the passenger seat.

"Buckled up?" Wanda asked with a funny face, looking at your sister over her shoulder.

"Yes!" The answer made the brunette chuckle as she glanced at you before starting her car and driving off.

As soon as it happened, your little sister started flooding the girl with stories and the situation that had happened at her school earlier today.

Wanda seemed to be interested in all of it though, which made you smile to yourself as you were looking in the rearview mirror to see your sister. She kept asking questions about Kate's stories which made the little girl even more excited as she rambled.

"So?" The brunette started, looking ahead but sparing you glances now and then. "How was your day?" The question made you stop mentally as you ran through everything in your head.

Sighing a little, you shrugged indifferently. "Not much really, my classes were boring and I just wanted to get out of there."

You were just exhausted and didn't want to do anything at all, thinking was included in that list.

She hummed in response while your little sister was jamming in the backseat to the song that was currently playing on the radio. "I didn't see you much today." The brunette reached for your hand before intertwining your fingers.

"I know, I'm sorry. Jack kept talking about going swimming the whole day."

You squeezed her hand with an apologetic smile and she gave it back in return while nodding. "I wanted to ask if you would like to do something today, but you did tell me about the plans."

"I can call it off, there's no problem." You immediately responded, holding her hand closer to you.

"No, it's okay, baby. We can do it tomorrow. Jack has been asking you for a long time now and we hang out every day anyway."

You searched her face for a while before moving to sit straighter. "Are you sure? I can tell him we can go tomorrow or something."

Her giggles filled up the space as she looked at you lovingly and stopped the car at the light. "I'm sure, besides, I can still text you and you can reply whenever you are able to. And it's not for a whole day, so you can come to me later." She squeezed your hand with a smile as you both looked at each other while waiting for the light to turn green.

"You know?" A small, sudden shout scared both of you as Kate leaned forward in her spot, her small hands gripping both of your seats. Wanda and you were staring at her, waiting for her to tell you what she was thinking about. "I think we should get more ice cream."

You began laughing lightly and shaking your head as Wanda resumed driving. "We can but not today, Bug." A sound of disappointment and a pout appeared momentarily, causing you to give her a look.

"What about all of us getting ice cream tomorrow? Sounds good?" The brunette chimed in, making your sister squeal excitedly and sit back in her seat.

"I love you, Wands." She screamed out with a huge smile.

"I love you too, Katie." Your girlfriend smiled back, looking into the rearview mirror. Not a second later, her eyes moved to you which caused her smile to widen as she mouthed the same words to you.

You chuckled at her and did the same before she faced forward and kept driving.

——

Mindlessly dragging your pen on an empty piece of paper, you were leaning on your arm as your hand supported your chin. Saying you were bored was an understatement.

You were currently in a history class and couldn't wait to get out of there while your teacher kept talking and talking. You stopped listening to him a while ago, barely hearing anything at this point.

Pages were being filled with scribbling, a dots in random places were being connected by you to create whatever your head came up with.

In a moment, your head whipped and faced your friend with your mouth agape after they threw a paper ball at your forehead.

Charlie was trying to stifle her laugh when she saw your expression and how quickly you stopped your actions just to stare at her in shock and bewilderment.

"Did you just do that?" A whisper-shouted question left your mouth as your hand flattened on the desk.

Jack, who was sitting in front of Charlie, turned his head around with a face full of confusion. "What are you guys doing?"

While he was asking his own questions, you kept staring at Charlie, waiting for your answers as she was laying on her desk and laughing.

Everybody else in the classroom didn't seem to notice, including your teacher. He was entirely engrossed in the history book he was reading to everybody and adding his own comments to it.

"I didn't—" Charlie tried to explain, but she could barely breathe at this point as her face was getting red.

"What do you mean you didn't? You need me to throw it at your head, so you can feel it and get your memory back?"

That was when Jack seemed to catch on when his mouth made a big ʼOʼ shape with his eyebrows shooting up. You rolled a piece of paper into a ball and threw it at your friend. Conveniently for you, it landed in her mouth.

She started coughing uncontrollably, causing your eyes to widen when you noticed she wasn't getting better. Jumping out of your seat, you patted her back which seemed to help her as she coughed louder once.

Her eyes filled up with tears, but chuckles began spilling out of her mouth. "Are you okay?" The concern in your voice diverted her eyes to you and she nodded, smiling.

"I'm all peachy." She laughed out.

"Hey, what are you two doing there?" You heard your teacher's voice. "Why are you not in your seat, Bishop?" You awkwardly looked at him while kneeling on one of your knees, still at Charlie's side.

"I just—lost my pen." You chuckled out nervously as he kept looking at you over his glasses. Charlie and Jack seemed to find it amusing as they both were covering their mouths, trying not to laugh.

"Your pen? You three really—" He couldn't finish what he wanted to say when the bell rang throughout the school hallways, cutting him off. His voice was lost in the air even more when everybody started leaving their seats to get out of the classroom. "Hey! Did I say you could leave?" You heard him faintly.

The three of you quickly gathered your stuff and speed-walked out of the room to avoid an unnecessary conversation. "Damn, this guy is annoying. 'Did I say?'." Jack mocked your teacher as all of you laughed and were walking to your lockers.

"He's more than that. But at least I'm sure Charlie can breathe again." The girl chuckled while you patted her back. "I'm sorry for that."

"It's fine, dude, it was an accident." Other students were passing you, some bumping into you with their shoulders. There were way too many of them. Sometimes, it was hell to get anywhere in this school.

"Oh, shit." Jack suddenly stopped in his tracks with a scared face. "I was supposed to clean the Janitor's room. Ms. Davis will kill me." The only thing he got in response was scrunched faces as none of you understood why he would get in trouble for that.

"That's my ʼpunishmentʼ." He said, doing a quotation marks gesture. "It was either that or staying after classes." Charlie and you immediately let out a sound of realization, causing your other friend to roll his eyes.

"I will go with you, so your excuse is at least a little bit more believable and you can get done with it faster." The girl said, doing a spin before walking backwards with her arms doing waves.

"Thank you." He responded relieved.

She grabbed his arm and pulled him before they both started walking away. "We will see you in the cafeteria, the same spot as always." Charlie shouted at you as Jack was thanking her over and over, making the girl playfully roll her eyes in your direction. "Shut up, dude, you thanked me already." You chuckled as it was the last thing you heard.

Once again, you headed to your locker. It didn't take a long time since you were close to it already.

Opening it, you threw things inside that you didn't need before getting books for your next class. You didn't have many anyway, it was really only for the subjects you liked, not caring about the other ones.

Passing grades from the 'side subjects', as you called them, was completely enough for you.

In your locker, you mostly had electronics and a few things that made your life easier, as well as multiple pens as it was simple for you to lose them.

Grabbing a notepad and a few other things, you put them in your bag and zipped it up. You were fixing stuff in your locker when you felt a hand sliding on your back, making you freeze before turning around.

"Excuse me, I don't—" You stopped talking when you saw who it was. The girl giggled at you as you let out a breath. "Why do you have to trick me like that?"

An offended sound quickly left her mouth. "Excuse you, if anything, you should know what my hand feels like." At this point, you weren't sure if she was joking or not. And you didn't exactly want to test it.

Your face had to show it all when she giggled again, smiling at you with her eyes. "I'm joking. How has it been today?" She leaned on the lockers with her eyes fixated on yours, arms crossed.

Your head directed to your bag to throw some pens in it. "Charlie almost suffocated in the class and Miller was annoying, it's probably all from the most exciting things from today's news." You informed her in a playful tone, making her chuckle before her face changed into a confused and concerned one.

"Wait, what do you mean Charlie almost suffocated?" The guilt that filled you was impossible to hide and you were made aware of that even more when your girlfriend's eyebrow raised. "So?"

"Well, you see." Gulping, you nervously started, but you quickly realized there were no words you could speak. "She threw a paper ball at my forehead, so I did it back, except, it landed in her mouth and she started coughing." You finished with an awkward expression, waiting for the brunette's reaction.

She was blinking at you slowly with her arms still crossed. "Don't kill your friends. That's not nice."

Looking at her offended, you stopped acknowledging everyone else's presence. "I'm not trying to."

She tsked at you while shaking her head. You felt like a child that was being scolded. The hallway was getting more crowded and louder with every passing second, but it felt like it was just the two of you. It was easy to feel like there was nothing around with her.

"So, about Nat's party. I told her we won't be there. I know you don't like parties and I'm not the biggest fan of them as well. We were at the last one already, it's time for just us." She told you, getting closer and loosely holding your arms while yours went to her waist.

You smiled at her appreciatively. Everybody always thought she was an outgoing person, but in reality, she just liked being at home, watching animated movies under a blanket and eating junk food.

Your expression changed quickly when you remembered something you didn't like. She noticed that right away. "What happened?" Looking down, you fiddled with the material of the t-shirt before connecting your eyes with hers.

"About the last party." You started, making her nod slowly, her eyes were jumping between yours. "Cody said something you might not like." Her face changed to serious in seconds, her lips pressed together while her arms tightened a little bit on your forearms.

"What?"

There was nothing left of her relaxed form that she had seconds ago. She was completely stiff, almost guarded. "He was bragging about being at the party and having all the girls, as always, and when Charlie started bringing him down to Earth, I don't know what his goal was exactly, but he basically said you two slept together." You explained slowly to her, hating the last part.

You really had had to stop yourself from punching him straight in the face when he had said it.

Wanda's jaw clenched as her eyes dropped a little lower than yours. You could hear her hum to herself as well as the beginning of the anger rising in her. "It was taking everything in me not to beat him up. I knew you'd want to know first before I'd do anything too."

She smiled at you, but you knew that wasn't a happy smile. She was trying to control herself. "I'm fine. I'm very calm right now and it's okay." She kept saying, but you knew it was her trying to convince herself instead of bursting out.

"I will deal with him today. I just want to know what you're okay with. I don't want to do anything you wouldn't want."

Shaking her head with closed eyes, she removed her hand from your arm and faced you with the palm of it. "I don't want you to do anything. It's all okay." You got confused, tilting your head, you moved your hands to her arms and rubbed them.

"Are you sure? I don't want him to think he can just walk around and say things like this. We both know what he said is not true. We literally were at the party together, attached to the other's hip."

It just made her shake her head more and widen her tight-lipped smile. "I'm sure. I will handle it."

Your eyes didn't leave hers, searching for answers that were not available to you at this time it seemed. She kept her posture, staring right back and not giving anything away. "You might get lost in them if you look any longer." She tried to joke lightly, getting a small chuckle out of you.

You didn't want to leave the Cody situation like that, but you wouldn't do something if she didn't want you to.

"I respect your choice and I want you to know that I'm not afraid of kicking his ass. Tell me if your decision changes, okay?" She nodded and smiled at you sweetly, causing you to reciprocate before kissing her forehead.

"I gotta go, I was supposed to talk to the girls about our routine today."

"Okay, I'm gonna head to the cafeteria, the rest is there probably. I love you and be safe. I'll see you later, okay?"

She nodded again before you hugged and she kissed your cheek. "I love you too."

The two of you squeezed hands and started turning around, still looking at each other. Her smile started widening just as yours did and it was only when you couldn't see her anymore that you turned around again and started heading to the cafeteria.

You pushed through people, getting irritated with every passing second before you got to the door and entered the room. You began walking up to the lunch line after you noticed your friends were already at the table, Jack as well with a grumpy-sad face. You could only guess why.

It didn't take you long to get to food and tell the lady behind the counter what you wanted before you got your tray. Now, the only thing to do was to get through another wave of people to reach your table.

You hated how some teenagers were annoying and would sprawl all over the small spaces between chairs.

Finally, you got to your table and greeted your friends. "What got you so grumpy, dude?" You asked Jack.

"I got stupid detention anyway." Charlie only nodded in confirmation while munching on her chips.

Chuckling, you sat down on your spot, putting the tray down and your bag on the floor. As you looked up, your eyes landed straight ahead on the door to the cafeteria.

Just in the right moment to see how they burst open and the cause of it was nobody else but your sweet girlfriend.

Except, she looked like she had murder in her eyes with the way they were full of flames. "Oh my fuck." You mumbled to yourself, a bit scared if you had to admit. You never saw her so angry, she always was composed and calm. Always tried to find a different solution.

It didn't seem like it was the case now. Her eyes were burning holes in Cody's head and you visibly gulped. Her jaw was tightly clenched as her walk was strong. You could swear she was ready to commit murder.

Some people noticed her and moved out of the way, some began whispering with scared faces. You were staring right at her, and even if she noticed you, she was channeling everything on Cody.

It was his last minutes of life. At least from your perspective.

A loud thud echoed in the whole room when she dropped her hands on the table, right in front of the guy. Her head lowered down and was just above his as her eyes didn't leave him even for a second.

"Are you having fun?" Her question came out calm and collected, but you knew better than that.

Cody slowly looked up at her, stopping his hand with food mid-way. You could see fear in his eyes. You could almost feel it. "Wh-What do yo-you mean?" His small gulp didn't go unnoticed by the brunette as she didn't move an inch.

"I think you know what I mean." Everybody around watched the situation, whispers became louder and more frequent.

"I—"

"If you smile so much telling stories about me, I guess you have to have fun, don't you?" She kept pushing, not backing down just as he was cowering even more. He was getting smaller and smaller under her gaze.

The anger in her eyes was burning him and every last bit of his confidence.

Some people around started getting confused and pointing at Cody, girls giggling and whispering to each other. Meanwhile, he was completely silent, minus the stutters that were leaving his mouth from time to time.

He couldn't even look her in the eye and he had nowhere to hide, no smart remark to say back, no nothing. He was completely screwed and exposed. "You seem to be quiet for someone who had such a story to tell not long ago. I'd love to hear all of it."

Cody's body was almost shaking with fear while his eyes were jumping from your girlfriend's face to the table and back. You knew it probably wasn't the time, but she looked so hot that you couldn't take your eyes away from her.

Her focused face, firm stance, and witty comments along with determination made you entranced.

Admiring her was your main task now, meanwhile, Cody was looking around the table for any kind of help with pleading eyes.

Normally, one of you would already jump to defense, but all of you were sick of his attitude and big mouth. At this point, you all were glad someone finally tried to shut him up since your attempts didn't work.

Charlie was the most empathetic one out of you all, but even she just watched the situation unfold. She was the only one—besides Wanda's friend, Nat—that knew about your relationship and she was glad Wanda wasn't letting it slide easily, since Cody's disrespectful behavior couldn't be ignored anymore.

"I—uh—I'm not—I ju—" The guy stuttered out again. He couldn't gather his thoughts or come up with anything that would make his situation better.

As Cody's silence filled up the cafeteria again, besides multiple whispers around your table, Wanda lightly hit his hat up, causing him to look at her. "That's better. It's not nice to look around when someone talks to you." She probably had a bit of fun out of this whole situation, but the irritation was swirling in her eyes and tone the whole time.

"I think you'll also hear and understand better what I will tell you that way." Cody's shaking body was now clearly visible to everyone. There was a hint of a smirk on Wanda's face. "If your silly little brain thinks about telling fantasy stories again, think twice before you lose the last bits of your dignity and your balls."

The teenager nodded quickly with wide eyes. You could swear she would shoot him with lasers if she had the chance. "Understood?" Her firm tone made him nod even faster while he stuttered.

"Y-Yes, U-Understood."

The brunette smirked widely at him before hitting his hat back down and straightening up. "It was fun talking to you. Don't try and make it happen again." The brunette quickly glanced at you with a smirk, sending a wink your way before turning around and walking away confidently, surrounded by people's looks, pointing, laughs, and whispers.

At this point, you were probably drooling as your eyes were glued to the girl. "You're mentally gone, aren't you?" Charlie's voice reached your ears.

"Uh huh." You replied, not looking away even for a second.
