Chapter Nineteen: Never Have I Ever
01:15, 7 January 2013Chapter NineteenNever Have I Ever▬ First Person- Electra’s P.O.V ▬ I could barely breathe, I was so happy it was unbelievable. Just when I had lost all hope I had gained it back again, I stared helplessly into a sort of lobby. Everyone had proceeded through the shutters and into the lobby but I was still glued to my spot, trying to gain back the feeling in my toes. “Hello?” I heard Rick’s voice call, echoing around the metal lobby as I felt a presence by my side. Turning my head ever so slightly I saw Daryl beside me facing the outdoors with his crossbow raised defensively, making sure no walkers came at us from behind. A cock of a gun caused me to look back into the lobby where everyone had now raised their own weapons defensively as they looked around in confusion. “Doctor Walsh?” a deep voice entered my ears causing me to inhale and take a small step forward, but my throat was too dry to speak. “She’s here.” Shane answered for me as everyone turned their heads in my direction to look at me. A blond forty year old man entered my line of sight with his M4A1 raised at me. “Hi.” I greeted him as I raised my hands, finally regaining my voice as I took a baby step forward into the lobby to ensure he could see me. “Nice to meet you…..” she said awkwardly before she trailed off, eyes darting around the room to see everyone still with their guns pointed at the man. “Anybody infected?!” the blonde man asked with a raised voice as well as his gun, clearly keeping his distance from the group. “One of our group was,” Rick stated turning the man’s attention away from me for a brief second as Rick paused, breathing hard. “He didn’t make it.” He finished off. “Why are you here?!” the stranger demanded. “What do you want?” he interrogated us, leaving no time for us to answer his first question. “A chance,” I spoke up causing the man to return his gaze back to me. “If you’ll allow it, a chance for all of us.” I treaded carefully. “That’s asking for an awful lot these days.” “I know.” The man moves further into the lobby and I could now see that he was blond, blue-eyes, about forty years old and had his M4A1 now down by his side. “You all submit to a blood test,” the blond man stated after contemplating for a second and studying us all. “That’s the price for admission for all of you.” He stated, his eyes landing upon me once more. “We can do that.” Rick nodded, agreeing with the man. “You’ve got stuff to bring in? You do it now. Once this door closes it stays closed.” He told us how it was causing us to all flood inside of the building, we already have our stuff, of course we had are stuff we have and had every intention of staying here. “Vi. Seal the main entrance, send the power up here.” The man said into a little call box causing the shutters to slam down shut. “Rick Grimes.” Rick introduced himself sticking his hand out to the stranger who just briefly looked down at Rick’s hand before looking back into Rick’s eyes. “Doctor Edwin Jenner.”▬ Third Person- No one’s P.O.V ▬ The group had all filed into an elevator of some kind and the silence was truly deafening. Wedged in between Shane and Stacie, Electra looked up to see Glenn looking at her and shot him a small smile. “Doctors always go around packing heat like that?” Daryl asked Jenner breaking the silence as well as the eye contact shared between Glenn and Electra. “Oh.” Jenner exclaimed looking down at the automatic in his hands. “There were plenty left hanging around so I familiarised myself,” he deadpanned. “Much like you folks, but you look harmless enough.” he noted turning his head back to face forwards having turned it to look at Daryl. “Except you.” Jenner joked looking down at Carl. “I’ll have to keep my eye on you.” He stated causing Carl to grin mischievously. When the elevator came to a stop Jenner stepped out first leading them down some sort of metal empty corridor and Stacie hurried behind. “Are we underground?” Carol questioned Jenner as she held onto Sophia tightly causing Jenner to stop walking and turn around to face her. “You claustrophobic?” “A little.” “Try not to think about it.” Jenner advised before he walked into a wide and unlit room. “Vi! Bring up the lights in the big room.” He ordered and sure enough, nearly instantly the lights turned on. And a big room it was. Only a true scientist could truly appreciate the craftsmanship of the control room. It was circular, and held a shit load of computers that Electra was familiar with having creating several simulations in her old job back in England. But in England it wasn’t as sophisticated as this, but then again this was the CDC. It was bound to be more modern and sophisticated than her lab back in England. “Welcome to zone five."►►► Electra had sunken down next to one of the metallic walls in zone five whilst Jenner took Carol’s blood, his words still swimming around her mind. “Where is everybody?” Rick spoke her thoughts before she could even open her mouth to ask the question herself. “The other doctors? The staff?” he enquired turning back to look at Jenner. “I’m it,” Jenner stated causing me to raise any eyebrow at him. “It’s just me here.” “What about the person you were speaking with?” Lori interrogated him sceptically holding an arm around her son. “Vi?” “Vi!” Doctor Jenner caller loudly. “Say hello to our guests,” he commanded with authority. “Tell them….” His eyes flickered to Lori. “Welcome.” He finished. “Hello guests.” A robotic voice came from all around causing them all to analyse the room before looking to the ceiling. “Welcome.” “I’m all that’s left: I’m sorry.” ‘Well there’s me now’ Electra told him mentally. ‘Not saying that I’m a huge help or anything, I’m not saying that at all…. I’m just a zoologist’ “But you’re not alone.” Electra told him out loud causing everyone to glance at her. “You have us now.” She promised. “I think we should start the blood tests.” ►►► Electra had sunken down in front of one of the many metal walls that lined the room in which Jenner had taken them for their blood tests. Whilst eyeing Jenner taking Carol’s blood from her wrist his earlier words swam around Electra’s brain. “I’m all that’s left: I’m sorry.” How do you even react to something like that? Hearing that of all the hundreds of scientists who worked in the Centre of Disease Control only one remained. What had happened to the others? Walkers hadn’t gotten inside, otherwise Jenner would have been dead too. Were the evacuated to safety like Rick was meant to have been whilst in his coma? No, they couldn’t have been, otherwise Jenner wouldn’t be here. Snapping herself out of her own thoughts, Electra picked up on the staggered breathing that was coming from beside her. Quickly darting her eyes in the direction she saw Sophia had sat down beside her with her knees tucked under her chin and seemed as if she were going to break out into tears at any moment. “Sophia?” Electra questioned causing Sophia to turn her head to the side to look at the woman. Electra could now see that Sophia’s eyes were blood shot and her nose was snotty. “Hey…what’s wrong?” she asked. ‘Okay, that is the dumbest question I have ever asked.’ Electra thought to herself as soon as the words had come out of her mouth. ‘What’s not wrong?’ would have been a more appropriate question. Everything was wrong: It was the walker apocalypse, their camp had just gotten attacked, Sophia’s dad had just died, they had to leave their camp, they had to leave Jim behind and they were now God knows how many feet underground. “Don’t tell my mommy…..” Sophia whispered causing Electra’s eyes to flicker over to Carol who Jenner had finally stuck the needle into. “I’m dying,” Sophia stated as a tear began to roll down her cheek. “Oh come on,” Electra said encouragingly as she threw her arm around Sophia. “What has gotten that idea into your head?” she enquired stroking Sophia’s blonde hair down. “There is blood when I go to the toilet,” Sophia whispered into Electra’s ear before breaking out into a sob which caused Electra to hold her tighter. “I went to pee and there was blood coming out.” Sophia elaborated causing Electra to give out a huge breath of relief and have to resist the urge to smile. “You’re not going to die Soph.” “But I overheard my daddy telling his friends how if you bleed when you go to the toilet you are a dead man walking.” Sophia objected, refusing to believe me. “Sophia, when a girl gets to a certain age….” Electra began, unsure of how to finish the sentence off. “She will bleed when she goes to the toilet sometimes….and……” Electra struggled to find the right words. “I think it’s better if you tell your mommy about this after she’s had her blood test.” She advised. “So I’m not going to die….?” “No Sophia, you aren’t going to die.” Electra confirmed. “You’re a survivor. We all are. We have survived through the worst of times and we are going to beat this world. You, your mommy, me and everyone else….alright?” Electra gave a little pep talk. “Promise?” “I promise.” “Electra?” Electra’s head turned in the direction of the voice to see Jenner still sitting at the table but Carol had stood up and was walking toward Sophia. “Your turn.” Reluctantly, Electra got on to her feet and sat down on the chair opposite Doctor Jenner, rolled up the sleeve of her loose t-shirt and offered up her arm. Breathing in Electra turned her head as Jenner inserted the needle into her arm, hissing when she felt the prick. “What’s the point?” Electra questioned him once the needle was inside her arm. “If we were all infected we’d all be running a fever.” She stated. “I’ve already broken every rule in the book by letting the rest of your group in here,” Doctor Jenner told her. “Let me just be thorough.” He took out the needle from her skin. “All done.” “You okay?” Jenner enquired as he looked at Electra’s expression. Ignoring his question Electra shot up to her feet realising it was a bad mistake as the blood rushed out of the brain making her incredibly dizzy and causing her to stumble slightly. “Woah.” Shane exclaimed as he held Electra’s arm to avoid her from crashing back down into the chair, instead slowly allowed her to sit back down slowly. “She hasn’t slept or eaten in days,” Jacqui explained causing Jenner’s eyes to land on her rather than Electra who was now under her brothers arm. “None of us have.” “Let me fix that.” Jenner disappeared out of the room whilst receiving confused looks from all the Atlanta survivors. Electra breathed softly, her head now burrowed into Shane’s shoulder as he rested his head on top of hers, stroking her head with his left hand. “You alright there, Ellie?” Rick asked concerned for his best friends wellbeing as he advanced on Electra and Shane. Lori’s eyes narrowed the second Rick crouched down in front of them both rubbed Electra’s arm in an attempt of comfort. “Ellie?” “I’m….” Electra trailed off as she maneuvered her head on Shane’s shoulder so that she could see Rick. “I’m fine, it’s just like Jacqui said: Lack of food.” She stated. “El-” “I’ll be fine Rick,” Electra assured him with a small smile, his big heart was always what she had admired the most about him and brought on her feelings for him. “Just give me a minute, okay?” she asked him placing her left hand on top of his own. “Okay,” Rick nodded before removing his hand from her arm and straightening up again. “What do y’all think?” he enquired the group as he moved so that he could see all of them. “Of Jenner?” Daryl questioned from him spot in the corner, his crossbow still in his hands. “Something off about him…” he hypothesized. “Ya think?” “I know.” “Of course there’s something off with him,” Andrea rolled her eyes as she crossed her arms against his chest. “He’s been cooped up inside of here with no human contact for God knows how long. He’s hardly going to be right as rain.” She stressed. “You’re sayin’ there’s nothing else off with him?” “Not getting any vibes, no.” “Vibes.” Daryl scoffed, shaking his head as he looked to the metallic floor beneath the floor, causing Andrea to turn in his direction with her annoyance written on her face. “You got something to say Dixon?!” “Yeah.” Daryl nodded as he looked up to meet Andrea’s fierce blue eyes. “I do actually,” he confirmed, still nodding causing her to place a hand on her hip. “Guys-” “Go on then!” “Guys-” “Well blondie, you aren’t exactly-” “Aren’t exactly what?” “Guys!” Electra yelled from her spot next to Shane, their argument had caused her to sit up straight in her seat and stare at them both. “Lay off it.” She commanded. “We’re safe now and you’re finding absolutely nothing to argue about!” she exclaimed. “It’s been a long day and I think I can speak for everyone when I say: Please shut the hell up.” She said in a polite tone. Just then the sound of clonking footsteps came from one of the never ending corridors in zone five and Jenner popped his head around the doorway. “Follow me.”►►►▬ First Person- Electra’s P.O.V ▬ Turned out that whilst we were talking about how odd Jenner had been he had been preparing us a mini feast in the CDC cafeteria. We were now all seated around one table jovially drinking wine and liquor from the fully stocked fridge, triumphant in finally finding a safe place and a good meal.
I hadn’t felt like this since I was England, nor eaten this much or this quality of food. Squirrel just wasn’t the same. “God,” I exclaimed as I sipped a little red wine from my glass. “I haven’t eaten slash drank like this since I was England.” I elaborated. “Oh God,” Glenn started from beside me, immediately after I had finished my sentence. “Here she goes again.” He warned everyone. “Oi!” I elbowed him playfully as I placed my glass down on the table. “I’m just saying what a beautiful experience this is and how much I have missed it,” I stuck my tongue out at him before turning back to everyone else. “No offence Daryl, but our squirrel does not compare.” I quipped. “Pffft.” Daryl spat from opposite me, his expression unreadable causing everyone to think he had taken offence from it and was going to start. “I couldn’t agree more Mismatch.” He agreed causing everyone to give a breath of relief as we clinked our glasses together. “This wine!” “You know in Italy children have a little bit of wine with dinner,” Dale informed us as he poured some red wine into a glass for Lori. “Do children in France have wine with their dinner too?” Stacie questioned, wedged in between Sophia and Glenn who was shovelling his food into his mouth. “Ew Glenn!” “I think so Stacie,” Dale responded to her question as Electra screwed up her face in disgust as Glenn turned to face her, trails of spaghetti running from his mouth. “What? Like you said it’s food!” “Well, when Carl is in Italy or France he can have some then.” Lori stated as she took her glass from Dale, getting at what he was hinting. “Can I have some?” Stacie questioned Dale sheepishly. “Please?” she added on politely, giving him her puppy dog eyes. Uncertain, Dale looked at me. “Sure you can sweetie,” I smiled at Stacie picking up my wine glass which was nearly empty. “Here have some of mine.” I offered passing her my wine glass. “What’s it gonna hurt?” Rick argued with Lori light heartedly causing Lori to look at him in surprise. “Come on,” he pushed slightly. “Come on!” he laughed causing Lori to laugh to and give in. “Here you are young lad,” Dale said, passing him a plastic cup filled with a drizzle of wine. Everyone watched intently as both Stacie and Carl tried their first sips of red wine at the same time, both with the same reaction. Faces scrunching up at the terrible taste, causing a chorus of laughter. “Ewwwwwwww!” “That’s my boy,” Lori patted Carl on the back whilst everyone continued to laugh. “That’s my boy.” She said as she took Carl’s glass of wine and poured the remainder into her own. “Tastes nasty!” Stacie commented. “You won’t be saying that when you’re older sweetie.” Stacie remarked as she gladly handed me back my wine glass which I lifted up to my lips. “I doubt it.” Stacie denied with a grimace as causing all the adults to break out into laughter yet again whilst I drank the remainder. “You should stick to soda or pop there kids.” Shane advised from the other side of him, picking at his food, acting like a miserable sod. “Not you Glenn.” Daryl stated as he stood up and began to pour some wine as well causing Glenn to look up from his food. “What?” Glenn asked nervously, his eyes darting to me in panic as I rolled my eyes at his face. Locating a napkin, I snatched it and wiped his face with it as if he were a child. “You’re drinking little man,” Daryl stated as if it were a fact as he put the wine bottle down. “I wanna see how red your face can get.” He grinned at Glenn passing him the wine glass. “U-hmmm.” Rick coughed as he tapped his spoon against his glass, gaining out attention as he slowly stood up. “Seems to me we haven’t thanked our host properly.” He pointed out. “He is more than just our host!” T-Dog corrected Rick, raising his glass causing the rest of us to follow his action and nod out heads in agrrement. “Booyah!” Daryl said in his form of agreement cracking me up as everyone began to say booyah. “What?” Daryl questioned me. “Booyah? Really?” “Booyah!” Stacie exclaimed from her spot causing me to laugh even harder causing me to raise my glass even higher and look at Daryl. “Booyah!” I went along with it before taking another sip and placing my glass back down. In the process I saw that Shane was staring down at his wine glass deep in thought with a blank expression. “So,” Shane finally looked up. “When are you goin’ to tell us what the hell happened here Doc?” Shane demanded causing Jenner to look back at him in confusion. “Shane.” I pleaded, hoping he would stop. “All the, ur, the other doctors supposed to be figuring out what happened,” Shane ignored me causing me to sigh loudly and look down. “Where are they?” “Should be celebrating Shane,” Rick mused from his seat, obviously disliking where this conversation was placed as much as I did. “No need to do this now.” “Wait a second.” Shane said to Rick. “This is why we’re here, right? This was your move supposed to find all the answers instead we uh,” Shane cut himself off with a little laugh. “….found him.” He finished jerking a thumb towards Jenner. “Shane.” I said flatly, swirling the wine in my glass before giving my brother a side long look, not knowing what had gotten into him. “One man. Why?” “Well when things got bad a lot of people just left. Went off to be with their families.” Jenner started off. “Then when things got worse, when the military cordon got overrun the rest bolted.” He explained. “There ya go!” I exclaimed. “Ya got your explanation Shane.” I enthused, gesturing over to Jenner happily but Shane still looked intent. “Every last one?” “Shane-” “No.” Jenner denied shaking his head. "Many couldn't face walking out the door. They opted out. There was a rash of suicides.” Jenner said sternly with no expression on his face. “That….That was a bad time." He commented causing everyone to enter silence. “But you didn’t leave,” Andrea pointed out with her fork in her hand. “Why?” she questioned, with the same determination as Shane. “I just kept working, hoping it would do some good.” “Dude,” Glenn spoke up from beside me as he stood up. “You are such a buzz kill man.” He told Shane causing Shane to look down. “Let me introduce you to where you’ll be staying tonight.” Jenner said as he rose to his feet and I did the same. “Come this way.” He led us down yet another few corridors. God, this place is practically all corridors. “Most of the facilities powered down including housing, so you’ll have to make do here. Couches are comfortable, but there are crafts in storage if you like. There’s a rec room down the hall there that you kids might enjoy.” Jenner informed us before crouching down in front of Sophia, Stacie and Carl. “Just don’t plug in the video games, okay? Or anything that requires power” he asked nicely causing them to nod as he straightened up again. “Same applies,” he nodded at the rest of us. “Feel free to grab anything from storage if you’re hungry or thirsty and if you shower, go easy on the water.” He warned before he walked off down the hall. “ Slowly, Glenn turned his head in my direction. “Hot water?” A grin spread across his face as one spread across my own along with him. “That’s what the man said,” T-Dog grinned causing a little laughter. Everyone began to burst through the door to the communal showers and after Rick, Lori, Glenn, T-Dog, Dale, Andrea, Jacqui and Shane were in the door was slammed shut in my face causing me to let out a snort. “Rude.” “I’m sorry,” the door pried open ever so slightly and Rick popped his head around the door. “There are no more, y’all have to wait.” He told us before he closed the door again. “God-dammit.” “I’ll take the kids to the rec room whilst we wait,” Carol thought out loud causing me to nod whilst Daryl just walked off in the direction that Jenner had said out rooms were. “Sure, go ahead,” I smiled, gradually getting left behind as she took Sophia’s and Stacie’s hands in her own and Carl followed her like a lost puppy. “Oh yeah, I forgot to mention.” Jenner stated passing them causing Carol to stop in her tracks and turn around as Jenner approached me. “There’s a private shower just around that corner there.” He jerked his thumb. “Thanks.” I smiled and adjusted the strap of my backpack over my shoulder before heading in the direction he had pointed me in and sure enough I reached a green door and pushed it open with joy. The thought of showering gets me in a fantastic mood, I couldn’t remember the last time I had really had a good scrub let alone a shower. Dropping my bag to the floor I unzip it and fish out a toothbrush and squeeze some toothpaste onto it and stuck it into my mouth.▬ Third Person- No one’s P.O.V ▬ Abandoning her toothbrush on the sink, Electra gladly stripped down to nothing and entered the shower cubical drawing the curtains around her. Aggressively, she pushed the only button visible which resulted in water raining down on her body. Heaven. Breathing in slowly, she stood there for a moment. Appreciating the feel of the warm water droplets on her skin seemed to release the tension in her tight muscles and forget all the nightmares she had been through. She could have just melted right there and then. Grinning, she picked up a bottle of body wash and squeezed it out onto a cloth and began to scrub her body- hard. Loosening her hair caused her to moan in delight as the water streamed through it. Realising that she was wasting water caused her to wash her hair thoroughly but quickly. Blindly, she reached for the towel rack snatching a soft, thirsty towel from it. Stepping out, she wrapped its steamy warmth around her dripping body. The towel clung to her well, emphasizing her curves ridiculously as she reached for her comb. Raking a comb through her hair she began to hum to a stupid little tune as she bobbed up and down to the beat like the lunatic she was. Just then the door was cranked open ever so slightly and there stood Daryl, but Electra hadn’t noticed he was there. Standing there, he store at her back- he couldn’t help it. But it wasn’t out of desire. It was out of curiosity. “What the hell is all that?!” Startled, Electra nearly choked on her tooth brush as she turned around to meet Daryl’s fierce blue eyes. Sheepishly, she lifted up her towel and secured it as tightly as she could manage with her hands. “Daryl!” she screamed, spitting some of the toothpaste in her mouth whilst she did. “Jesus Christ.” she muttered under her breath turning to spit out the toothpaste before spinning in his direction. “On your back?” Daryl demanded causing Electra to stiffen up even further, knowing that she must have identified pretty well with a deer caught in the head lights of a car. “What?” Electra continued to pull up her towel self-consciously despite the fact that Daryl’s eyes had not once travelled down her body. “The scars!” Hundreds, maybe thousands of scars laced her back. Showering had turned her skin about three shades lighter causing her scars to appear more prominent against her smooth honey complexion. “I work in zoology Daryl,” Electra reminded him. “With animals at times…..things go wrong…..” she gave him an explanation but by staring on, Daryl showed that it wasn’t enough. “First week, my first little newbie job involved tigers. Pretty straightforward but I screwed up….have the scars to prove it.” She frowned. “Shane doesn’t know, he’d have gone mad and demand I came straight back to Kings County, so keep in quiet yeah?” Electra questioned sternly as she bit the corner of her mouth. “You going to be long?” “Not very.” Electra stated flatly causing Daryl to nod before exiting the room and closing the door behind him. Electra turned around. Nope. It’s gone. My mood is gone. Sighing, she quickly dried her hair and located a fresh(ish) pair of night clothes. She pulled on the pair of pink and white striped short shorts and shrugged on a grey t-shirt with a zebra in the corner. Pulling her hair into a pony tail, she picked up her backpack and opened the door, passing Daryl on her way out. Continuing down the corridor she laid her eyes on what Jenner had called the ‘Rec room’ Carol, Carl, Sophia and Carol were spread out on couches with books in hand that they had gained from the well-stocked shelves. “Ooooh,” Electra made a sound of surprise causing everyone’s heads to turn in her direction. Carol sent her a small smile. “Electra!” “Hey guys,” Electra smiled back at the grinning faces of Carl, Sophia and Stacie. “Any good books to read?” she enquired as she sat down in front of them. “Enough to keep us busy for years.” Carol commented from the couch causing Electra to grin. “You sure look pretty,” Carol told Electra as she took over a once over. “Thank you Carol.” “You’ve gotten copper highlights.” “Oh really?” Electra questioned before looking down at her long curls and taking a strand in-between her fingers and squinting at it. “How are y’all anyway?” Electra asked before looking up into Carl’s eyes. “Good.” “Fantastic.” “Great!” Stacie exclaimed with much more enthusiasm than Carl and Sophia despite the fact they were pretty damn enthusiastic. “Well, that’s not very true at all?” Electra looked in the direction of the painfully familiar voice and sure enough Lori was sitting in the corner seat with her legs crossed, a hard covered book in her hands. “Is it Stacie?” Lori asked as she raised her eyes from her book to look over to look at Electra who was looking at Stacie in confusion. “What’s up?” “Oh, she felt a little weird before.” Carol explained for Stacie causing Electra to turn her gaze to her instead. “Disliked the taste of the wine, that’s all.” Carol assured Electra with a small smile. “That’s an understatement,” Lori commented from the corner, turning the page of her book. “She brushed her teeth about four hundred times to get the taste out.” Lori elaborated. “I knew it would happen. Mothers know that kind of thing…” Lori aimed a low blow that caused Electra to stare at her. “Probably shouldn’t have let her drink the wine.” She concluded. “Well I’m not a mother,” Electra shrugged causing Lori to look up again. “Am I?” she questioned Lori, letting her know that her blow hadn’t hurt her which caused Lori to look back down to her book innocently. “I’m sorry you feel ill Stacie.” Electra apologized getting onto her feet. “Where are you going?” Stacie questioned Electra in confusion. Electra had only just gotten there, why was she leaving again? “There’s a lot of….” Electra’s gaze transferred from Stacie to Lori in the corner. “Hot air in here.” Her eyes stayed on Lori before she looked down at Stacie. “Goodnight honey.” Electra dropped a small kiss on Stacie’s head before standing straight. “I’ll see y’all in the morning, night.” Electra put on a fake smile before turning her back and heading down yet another corridor passing Shane on her way. “Hey.” She smiled. “Oh hey Ellie, didn’t see you there.” Shane greeted her, a little out of it. More like a whole lot out of it and Electra would have noticed if she wasn’t annoyed. “How was the shower?” “It was good,” Shane nodded at her, sort of looking passed her. “It was good…..” he trailed off, walking passed her whilst mumbling something incoherent under his breath. Sighing, she turned her head to watch him walk down the corridor before turning back around. “Good night to you too.” Electra muttered looking downwards before walking straight into something….or someone. Looking up she caught Rick’s eyes. “Urm…hey?” “Sorry Rick,” Electra apologized sheepishly before raking a hand though her hair. “I was a little out of it, hey.” She smiled. “I can tell,” Rick laughed causing Electra to smile slightly. “Was just with Jenner-” Rick started, instantly Electra perked up out of interest. “Our bloods normal as ever.” “Thank God.” “I’ll be headed to bed now, I think….” Rick trailed off before leaning in and kissing Electra’s cheek. “Good night.” He nodded before turning back and heading into a room. Again, if Electra wasn’t annoyed she would have realised that Rick just kissed her cheek and would have gotten the usual tingly feeling inside she got whenever Rick did anything…..Rick like. Electra walked all the way to the kitchen that Jenner had pointed out to them before hand with a blank look on her face. Looking around she saw Daryl holding a bottle of booze. She nodded towards him as a greeting. “What’cha doin’ here by your lonesome?” Electra questioned heading over to him as he took a swig from the bottle of vodka. “Everyone’s chillin’ out, ya know?” “Not really my scene,” Daryl shrugged. “And if everyone’s out there, then what are you doing in here?” Daryl questioned as she headed over to the shelves. “Lori’s being a bitch and I’m in search of food,” Electra explained. “Not gonna find any here, I reckon Jenner keeps it all locked up somewhere,” Daryl stated. “Somewhere away from us,” he finished. “Well, you can’t blame him,” Electra shrugged. “You ever heard of a game called ‘Never have I ever’?” Daryl questioned. “Who hasn’t?” Electra replied back with a question. “Why?” Electra walked over to him but stumbled a bit as the alcohol she had already consumed went to her head. “Woops, clumsy,” Daryl commented mocking her. “You’re enjoying this aren’t ya?” Electra realised supporting her weight on the metal table. “Would be lying if I said I weren’t,” Daryl grinned at her as she sat on the individual green spinning stool and span herself around on it. “How d’ya feel like playing a game of ‘Never have I ever’?” Daryl asked. “Sure, why not?”►►►
“No way,” Daryl chuckled at what he had just learnt about Electra. “I never thought you’d be such a rebel Mismatch, I mean I knew you had fire in you but I never expected you to have that much fire,” he stated. “I was young and stupid,” Electra giggled. “Now…hmm…..” she pondered of a new question to ask him which wouldn’t be too embarrassing for herself. “Never have I ever….cried myself to sleep,” she stated causing Daryl to reluctantly take a swing out of the bottle. “No way!” she laughed at him. “Bad boy Dixon has cried himself to sleep?!” she said but actually shouted. “Yeah, yeah, stop ya gigglin’ woman,” Daryl said casually attempting to hide his embarrassment. “I was young and stupid,” he placed his hand over his heart mocking her. “Hey!” Electra got up in objection. “Never have I ever thrown up on a perfect stranger,” Daryl stated causing Electra to snatch the bottle of him and drink deeply. “It was my sixteenth and I was drunk,” Electra stated in explanation. “Ah, so again you were young and stup-” “Shut. Up. Dixon.” Electra growled at him playfully before she urged towards him, shoved, punched and fought him playfully. “Never have I ever hit on someone while on a date with someone else,” she said causing neither of them to drink. “Seriously? You’re a guy?” “Not the normal kind Mismatch,” “Prove it,” Electra said begging to fire her questions at him. “Never have I ever fooled around in my sibling's bed,” Nothing. “Never have I ever called someone the wrong name while doing it,” Nothing. “Never have I ever thought my friends mom was a M.I.L.F,” Nothing. “Never have I ever used a pick up line,” Nothing. “Never have I ever broken someone’s heart,” Nothing. “Never have I ever done body shots,” Nothing. “Never have I ever had sex with a total stranger,” Nothing. “Never have I ever had…sex,” Electra’s eye immediately found his when he did not go to take a swig out of the bottle when she did. His eyes looked so startling in the light and were boring into hers. Immediately, they collided. Their lips crashing against each other at the same exact moment. The kisses were soft and passionate. Electra’s arms began to snake around his neck and tangle in his light brown her. He held her in his iron grip, pulling her closer and closer until they had practically dissolved into each other. The kisses got harder and more animalistic. As if they needed them to survive. He groaned slightly moving his hands down to her thighs lifting her up onto the metal table which was freezing compared to the hot feeling she was experiencing inside of her chest. Separating for but an instant she pulled off her top as he unbuttoned his. Impatiently, her lips returned to his continuing to unbutton his shirt before her hands went up to the collar of his flannel shirt, pushing it off of his shoulders causing it to fall to the ground with a whoosh. Next thing she knew he was taking her weight, lifting her up off of the table and placing her standing on the ground again, pushing her roughly against the wall and continuing. A figure loomed in the corridor, looking through the window in the door as she lost control of any sober thoughts she held whilst he began to kiss down her collar bone.►►► Electra let out a moan as she nearly surfaced from her unconscious state and attempted to open her eyes but she was dragged under the black smoke once more. This time when she struggled against it, she succeeded and jerked forwards. Hissing, she put a hand on her throbbing head before looking down at her naked body in horror. Oh God. A grumble erupted from beside her and she turned her head slowly. Wincing not only out of pain but out of pure horror and shock. Oh shit. Faster than a speeding bullet she located her clothes and shrugged them on before shooting to the room where Stacie was sleeping soundly on the couch. Barely able to stand any more she collapsed onto the empty mattress where she looked up at the ceiling completely dumbfounded. I had sex with Daryl Dixon.
