Chapter three

the crowd continues to cheer for the Dragon Warrior as the palace pigs bring Po and Haku (still in the ruined palanquin and goose leading haku) to the top of the palace stairs and inside the main building. They drop Po to the ground and push Haku in and quickly exit.

" Wait a second!" Po said

as The doors close, leaving Po along in the room.

" Hello? Uh... I think there's been a slight mistake. Everybody seems to think that we're, uh..." po started

" um brother? what just happen?" haku asked

" wow!"

"what?!" Haku asked

Po slowly turns around and realizes where he is. He moans in pure amazement.

" The Sacred Hall of Warriors! No way! Look at this place!" Po said Haku pulls a face-.-

Po spots a rhino-suit of armor and runs up to it.

" Master Flying Rhino's armor. With authentic battle damage! " he tells her he turns and sees another famous artifact - the green sword previously seen in Po's dream. He runs up to it.

"Whoa... The Sword of Heroes! Said to be so sharp you can cut yourself just by looking-- OW! "He shakes his finger and sucks it. He then runs up to an apparently empty display.

" The Invisible Trident of Destiny! "He looks up at a painting and gasps.

" I've only seen paintings of that painting..."

Haku hand her paws in front of her trying to find her way to Po, Po joyfully examines other Kung Fu artifacts... and then spots an urn which appears to be glowing from the inside. He gasps.

" Nooo! Ohhhh! "Po runs up to it.

"The Legendary Urn of Whispering Warriors... said to contain the souls of the entire Tenshu Army! Haku isn't this awesome! "He hesitates before coming close to the urn and whispering into it.

" Hello?"

" Have you finished sight-seeing?"

Po gasp" Sorry! I should have come to see you first"

" My patience is wearing thin."

" Oh. Well, I mean, it's not like you were going anywhere." said Po Haku giggles

" you're nuts Po " she can tell someone else was in here and she don't think its the vase

"Do turn around."

" Sure. "Po turns and sees Shifu.

"Hey, how's it going? "turns back to the urn.

" Now how do you get get five hund-- Master Shifu!"

Startled, he accidentally knocks over the urn, and there is a ghostly wail as it shatters on the ground. Po, mortif ied, looks up at Shifu. Haku pumps into master shifu"oops im so sorry" she said backing up as shifu glares at the two

" Someone... broke that. " Po said asShifu stares at them in silence. Po attempts to pick up the pieces." But I'm going to fix it. Do you have some glue?... "He knocks the urn's display table, and it topples on his head. Shifu continues to stare.

" Ow! Ooh. Splinter."

"Po what did you break?" Haku asked

"break what? i didn't break anything" said Po

" So you two are the legendary Dragon Warriors, hmm?"Shifu asked them Haku shrugs

" Uh... I guess so?" said Po

"Wrong! " Shifu snaps Po stands up, alarmed. Haku rolled her eyes

"You two are not the Dragon Warriors You two will never be the Dragon Warriors until you two have learned the secret of the Dragon Scroll. "With his staff, he points up at the ceiling at the scroll.

" ah great more things i can't read " Haku said

" Whoa... So how does this work? You have a ladder or trampoline or..." Po said

Shifu chuckles coldly."You think it's that easy? That I'm just going to hand you two the secret to limitless power?"

"No, I-"

"Oh totally" Haku said smiling

Shifu approaches Po and Haku

" One must first master the highest level of Kung Fu. And that is clearly impossible if that one is someone like you two" Shifu said

" Someone like us??" both siplings asked Haku but at starting not to like this guy at all

"Yes. Look at you! This fat butt. "shifu hits Po's butt with his staff, making Po cry out." Flabby arms! "He hits Po's arm."

" Ouch! Those are sensitive in the flabby parts." po complains

" And this ridiculous belly! "Jabs Po's stomach."

Hey..."

" And utter disregard for personal hygiene.and you" Shifu pulls Haku down by the collar looking her eyes

"your blind how can you even think to be a dragon warrior your usless" shifu said Haku was glaring coldly and moves away from the old man

" Now wait a minute. That's a little uncalled for--" Po points at Shifu

" Listen, Oogway said that we're was the--

Suddenly, Shifu grabs Po's outstretched finger and lifts his pinky. Po gasps in horror.

" The Wuxi Finger Hold! Not the Wuxi Finger Hold!" Po said fearfully

shifu slyly smiles" Ohhh, you know this hold?"

po slurred together"Developed by Master Wuxi in the third dynasty. Yes!"

" Oh, then you must know what happens when I flex my pinky..."

po gasp" No no no!"

" You know the hardest part of this? The hardest part... is cleaning up afterwards. " Shifu chuckles

"Okay! Okay, take it easy!"

" Now listen closely, panda lynx. Oogway may have picked you two, but when I'm through with you two, I promise you two You're going to wish he hadn't! Are we clear?" Shifu asked them haku rolls her eyes

"Yeah. We're clear! We're clear! We are so clear." said Po

" yeah we got it old fart" Haku comment arms cross

Shifu leads Po and Haku into the Training Hall, where the panda is struck speechless as he sees the Furious Five combating the various deadly stages of the course. Crane is deflecting arrows while balancing on half of a jade-colored turtle shell. Then Tigress leaps onto the shell and briefly spars with him. Meanwhile, Mantis weaves his way through an army of wooden crocodile warriors. Viper evades fire spurts on the Field of Fiery Death. Monkey swings across the seven-talon rings. Tigress dodges theswinging spiked clubs on spinning serpent logs, then smashes one with her bare fists. A piece of the club strikes Po on the head.

" Let's begin" said Shifu .

" Wait wait wait! What? " Po stares at the fearsome course in front of him." Now?"

"um" Haku said nervously she can hear the training working out she wasn't so sure

"Yes, now. Unless you two think that the great Oogway was wrong, and you two are not the Dragon Warrior?..."

" Oh, okay. Well... we don't know if I can do all of those moves..." Po said

" Well, if we don't try, we'll never know, will we? " Shifu begins walking along the side of the course. Po follows. dragging his sister along with him

"Po i don't like to be drag" Haku said as he let go

"sorry Haku and Uh, yeah. It's just-- maybe we can find something more suited to our level..." Po said

" And what level is that?" Shifu asked

"Well, ya know... we're not a master, but uh, let's just start at zero. Level Zero." Haku said

shifu Laughs." There is no such thing as Level Zero."

"Hey! Maybe we can start with that!"

Po points and runs over to a friendly-looking bandit dummy.

"That? We use that for training children. And for propping the door open when it's hot. But if you insist..." shifu said

At that moment, the Five gather around Po and Haku.

"Whoa. The Furious Five. You're so much bigger than your action figures - except for you, Mantis. You're about the same." Po pointed

"sorry about him he's a fan" Haku said smiling nervously

Mantis's antennae twitches as he glares. Po looks uncomfortable.

" Go ahead, panda lynx. Show us what you can do" Shifu said.

"yeah lynx has a name" Haku said annoyed

Po hesitates, seeing the Five watching him.

"hey Haku you go first" po said pushing his sister towards the dummie she was facing the other way.

"really? Gonna let the blind cat go first? Alright" Haku asked then sighs punches but instead of the dummy she hits Crane making him fall back

"why does it seems i hit a person?" Haku asked

"cause! you hitted me! ow man you go a hit" Crane said rubbing his lower jaw

"oops...sorry" Haku said then points

" im gonna go over there...yeah" she walks away a bit

"your turn Po" she said head facing down

po was stalling" Okay. I mean I just ate, so I'm still digesting. So my Kung Fu might not be as good as later on."..

"Just hit it!" Shifu snaps

there was a pause" Alright... "Po turns to the dummy.

" Whatcha got? You got nothin' 'cause I got it right here. You picking on my friends? "He begins dancing on the spot.

" Get ready to feel the thunder. I'm comin' at him with the crazy feet. Whatcha gonna do about my crazy feet? I'm a blur. I'm a blur. You never seen bear style, you only seen praying Mantis! OR... I could come at you Monkey style. "Makes monkey sounds. Monkey raises his eyebrows.

"OR... I'm comin' at ya snikity-snake..."

Shifu and the Five stare at Po as he faces the dummy, Haku was covering her face " so glad I'm blind so I don't have to see this " she said about her brother and Shifu loses his patience.

" Would you hit it!?"

Po stops dancing.

"Alright... Alright."

Hesitantly, Po very light hits the dummy with his fist. It rocks back into place.

"Why don't you try again? A little harder." Shifu said grinning

This time, Po knocks the dummy all the way backwards.

"How's tha--"

WHACK! The dummy rights itself and whacks Po, sending him flying backwards knocking her poor dear sister along with him and knocking out a tooth. Po finds himself in the training course. haku stands up

"what hit me?" she asked. The Five instinctively step forward to help Po, but Shifu holds up his hand to stop them.

Po struggles to balance on the serpent logs, and eventually ends up doing a painful split on two of them.

"Ow! Oh, that hurts!" Po and Haku said at the same time

Po looks up and sees a spiky tethered ball, which hits and sends Po flying into the jade turtle exercise, where it rattles him around. Haku was staying on the ground out of reach of the wooden dummiess she crawls

"can someone help?"she asked as a wooden leg hitted her sending her flying back next to the group

"ow...thanks" The Five wince while Shifu looks on with a smile.

"This'll be easier than I thought" Shifu said to the five.

" Feeling a little nauseous..." said Po

"isn't anyone gonna help him?" Haku asked

"why don't you?" Shifu smirks

"thanks sending the blind girl to go after him some heros you guys are and they call me useless " Haku said as she crawls padding around to feel where she is going

"Po im coming!"

the turtle spills him out and he stumbles into the army of wooden warriors, proceed to whack every part of his body.

" Ow, those are hard! Ooh! I think I-- "The last dummy whaps him in the crotch and everything become still.

"Oooohoohoo... my tenders." Haku finally find her way to him"Po"

Po struggles to get on his feet, takes one step and reaches out to a dummy arm...and immediately gets pummeled all over again along with haki. Po comes out the other side battered and bruised and finds he and his sister is standing on the Field of Fiery Death.

" Uh oh." Po gulps

"why doesn't that sound good" Haku mumbles she quickly jumps and went to the sides away from danger

reflections of fire on the Five and Shifu as well as Po gets singed. After a while, Po comes crawling into frame , dazed and charred, with the little tuft on his head on fires gasping for breath" How did we do?"

"There is now a Level Zero. " Shifu puts out the little fire with his fingers

that night, the Five are walking to the bunkhouse, which sits high on a hill, led by a palace goose with a lantern.

"There's no words" mantis said

" No denying that." Crane sighs

" I don't understand what Master Oogway was thinking. The poor two just going to get themself killed! "

Crane starts mocking" He is so mighty! The Dragon Warrior... fell out of the sky on a ball of fire!"

"When he walks, the very ground shakes!" Mantis joins in

"and just by bumping into a mountian the whole thing crumbles" Crane laughs at the two siblings

Everyone laughs except Tigress.

"One would think that Master Oogway would choose someone who actually knew Kung Fu. " Tigress walks ahead.

"Yeah, or could at least touch his toes." Crane said

"Or even see his toes." Monkey said looking at his feet

"or even see at all" said Mantis

As the others walk off, laughing, Po and Haku emerges from behind rock, who unbeknownst to them has been walking behind them this whole time, hearing everything. He attempts to look at his toes, but just sees gut. He lifts up his stomach, leans forward... leans... leans... and falls over. He gets up and watches them go inside. He sighs. haku had her hand in front of her hand

"..its not like i ask to be blind..." she said

" i know come on let's go to bed" Po said

"im gonna stay out for a bit Po you get some sleep" she said with a fake smile Po nods and walks off leaving his sister behind

Haku walks away hands out in front of her she feels a tree she pats around for something then felt a big stick she grabs it and stands right back up

"this can work" she said and tabs the stick around as she walks then stops face facing down

"what am i even doing here?"she ask herself

Then she heard someone walking up behind her"who's there?" she asked

"only me "Oogway said she reconize his voice

"oh master Oogway i didn't mean to be in your way I'll go " said Haku and was about to walk away

"no need so what's bothering you?" he asked

"what? you mean? that you made a mistake choosing me and my brother as the dragon warrior? maybe my brother has a chance but i don't i never will be..im clumsy i crash into things and.." she sighs

"being blind doesn't mean your useless " Oogway said sitting down besides her

"Shifu sure does think so.." Haku mumbles

Oogway looks around and in a tree he sees something "your like that cocoon over there waiting for your day to come out and show the world how beaitful you are and can do many things if you wait it will come being blind would not slow you done but could be your greatest weapon" Oogway said as he stands up and walks away she smiles softly and went back to the bunkhouse

she taps her stick around as she pats the wall finding her way to her bedroom she opens a door thinking its it

"seasouily? you too? oh wait your blind i forgive you" Crane said

"oh im sorry i didn't mean to I'm trying to find my room" Haku said feeling embarrassed

"its alright here i'll help" he said taking her arm and leads to her room when they got there he opens the door and she went in

"thank you Crane and sorry for the trouble "she said

"its no big deal well night " Crane yawns and walks away going back to his room

she kneels down patting around going to bed
