part 15

The room was thick with smoke, blood, and betrayal.

Jo’s gun never wavered from Aou’s chest. Aou, bleeding but unflinching, stood like stone. Boom clutched the notebook in his hands, his empire and his heart cracking apart in the same breath.

“Stop this,” Boom begged, voice raw. “Both of you. Just stop.”

But neither man listened.

Jo’s voice trembled with fury. “He’s poisoned you, Boom. Everything we built together, and you throw it away for him?”

Aou’s words were like steel. “You were the one who put a target on his back, Jo. Every attack, every ambush—they all trace to you.”

Boom’s chest heaved. “Why didn’t either of you tell me the truth from the start?”

Neither answered. Because there was no good answer.

The Explosion

Jo snapped first. With a roar, he pulled the trigger again—aiming straight at Aou.

Boom reacted on instinct, shoving Aou aside. The bullet tore into the wall, inches from Aou’s head. Gunfire erupted as Aou drew his weapon with lightning speed, shots cracking through the penthouse.

Jo dove behind the bar, returning fire, glasses shattering like rain. Boom hit the ground, covering his ears, heart tearing between the men he couldn’t lose and couldn’t keep.

“Aou!” Boom shouted, voice hoarse.“Stay down!” Aou barked, returning fire.

But through the chaos, Jo’s voice cut like a knife.“He’ll never love you, Boom. Not the way I do!”

The Break

The gunfight paused, silence ringing louder than the shots. Boom stood, trembling, face wet with tears he hadn’t realized had fallen.

“You both claim to love me,” he choked out, “but all I see is death. Lies. Betrayal.”

His hands shook as he raised the notebook like it was a weapon. “This—this is what you’ve both made of me. I can’t trust either of you.”

Aou froze, chest heaving, eyes desperate. “Boom—”Jo’s voice cracked, pleading. “Don’t say that.”

But Boom stepped back, gaze sharp with pain. “Maybe the real betrayal is me… for ever letting either of you close.”

And then the sound of sirens filled the distance. Someone had called the police. The penthouse—their warzone—was seconds from collapse.

The pounding of boots echoed in the hall. Sirens screamed outside, the city closing in on their chaos.

Aou’s gun was still raised, his body poised to shield Boom. Jo crouched low, fury and desperation burning in his eyes. Between them, Boom stood shaking, clutching the notebook like it was the last piece of himself he had left.

The door burst open.“Police! Drop your weapons!”

Floodlights cut through the shattered glass. Armed officers poured in, rifles raised.

Aou swore under his breath, shifting his aim toward the intruders. Jo’s jaw clenched, torn between firing at Aou or the officers.

And Boom—Boom couldn’t breathe.

Everything slowed. The sirens. The shouts. Aou’s voice screaming his name. Jo’s hand reaching for him. His heart cracked open as the world demanded a decision.

“Don’t move!” an officer barked.

Boom raised his trembling hands, the notebook slipping from his grasp. His voice was broken when it finally tore free.

“I… I can’t choose.”

A single shot rang out.

For one heartbeat, no one knew who pulled the trigger. Then Boom staggered, crimson blooming across his shirt. His body swayed, crumpling to the marble floor.

“BOOM!” Aou’s roar shattered the air as he dropped beside him, catching his limp body in his arms.

Jo froze, eyes wide with horror, his gun hanging useless at his side.

The police stormed forward, guns trained on all three men, but the only thing Aou could see was Boom’s blood soaking his hands.

“Stay with me,” Aou begged, his voice breaking for the first time. “Please, stay with me.”

Boom’s lips moved, a whisper too faint for anyone but Aou to hear.“Maybe… the real betrayal… was loving either of you.”

And then his eyes slid closed.

💔 Now we’ve set up the ultimate suspense cliffhanger:

Did Boom shoot himself in despair, or was it a stray bullet from Jo or the police?

Does he survive in the hospital, or was that his final act of defiance?

Will Aou and Jo blame each other, or be forced into a reluctant alliance for him?
