you arrive home and immediately take deep breathes. it was about 7:30 and they said to everyone that if you got in, you would get a call at 7:35. you were confident in yourself and wanted the part more than anything. to just let you dreams just be right in front of you, and not take them, is not the person you are.

the clock was ticking fast and you felt your heart stop for each minute went by. were you actually gonna make it? were you actually gonna be able to get in?

7:32

your heart burst again as you eagerly sit down on your sofa. you twitched as you placed your phone in front of you. you are crossed-leg as you just put your elbows on your knees, feeling your hands shake.

7:33 

every minute felt like an day. every second felt like a hour. you couldn't handle your excitement. your mum had gone upstairs to get ready for bed, as you couldn't move. you insides did though, that was sure. you couldn't wait.

fuck fuck fuck...you heart was ecstatic. your hands were shaking uncontrollably. it may actually happen. it may actually-

and it didn't. the time went past. and you felt your heart sank. you put your hopes up once again for you to just be let down. for you to feel your failure you knew you may get. you try to think positively but you can't, not in this moment at least. you really thought you would be hanging with the team. you really thought that you would be friends with millie, date finn and maybe be best friends with cast. but you weren't. you could've been but now you lost your chance. 

you take a deep breathe, as you get up to walk to your room. you stand up, take a big sigh before walking over to the steps.

until, you hear the familiar sound of your phone ringing. 

you flip your head almost immediately as you sprint over to the couch, pouncing on it. you grab your phone, you fingers and hands losing control.

"hello y/n, this is matt and ross." you smile and put your entire focus on the phone.

"hi.." you answer, trying not to stutter on your words.

"you know what this phone call means right?" ross asks as you close you eyes, a small tear falling down your eye.

"yes..yes i do. thank you so much." you say as you hear someone laugh in the background.

"see ya tomorrow." you hear young finn on the other end as you eyes go wide, your breathe almost stopping.

"thanks finn." you say as you hear him smile. you just knew he was, the way he was on the other end. you felt goosebumps cover your body like they always did with finn.

"see you tomorrow y/n, make sure you have the script we bought you and normal clothing is fine." they say as you nod.

"yes perfect, thank you again." you say as they hang up on you.

you take one deep breathe.

and then you scream. 

you scream with joy. with excitement. with love. 

you were really really gonna be a big actress. a big star almost. you were gonna be on your favourite tv show. a show that you only dreamed to actually meet finn or millie. or noah or gaten or caleb. and you were. even sadie. you just couldn't believe it. 

you run upstairs to your room, closing the door as you begin to dance and jump around. 

tomorrow was gonna be a big day.

"come on mum, we're bloody late!" you shout out as you hear hurried footsteps running downstairs. you hear panting from your mum as she takes a few deep breathes before getting outside. 

"okay okay..shit." you hear her say as you laugh.

"another dollar to the swear jar." you yell as she laughs.

"shut up." she says as she rolls her eyes sarcastically. 

you both head in the car and begin to drive off. again, your heart was beating. just like it was when you got the good news. you were so thrilled, and excited all over. you were meeting the full cast now, not just finn but millie, noah and everyone else. you couldn't bloody wait. you were also gonna meet your brother, someone you also loved. their acting and comedy was amazing in your eyes, and now they were playing your brother, steve harrington, and you were so elevated. 

"you excited sweetie?" mum asks as you smile towards her.

"to answer your question, i can't stop shaking." you answer as your mum laughs.

"you'll do great, and make sure to say hello to all the cast for me. especially mr finn." she winks towards you as you punch her arm playfully.

"mum, i'm meeting him as a person, he's now officially not my celebrity crush." you say as your mum scoffs.

"yeah tell me that when he is off your phone wallpaper." you hesitate and you look at your phone. finn was there and you roll your eyes at mum.

"thanks for reminding me to change this before i embarrass myself." you say as your mum laughs. you quickly change it to a simple stranger things symbol before shutting it off. you look out the window and take a deep breathe. trying something to calm the un-expectant jolt of excitement.

"have fun out there beautiful." your mum says as you laugh.

"thanks mum, see you hear at 4:00." you answer as you shut the door, waving towards her before turning around to the production. it was amazing, you felt like a proper celebrity or in the lime light. with lights moving around by production teams and props moving, you take a big long breathe before stepping forward. you see the duffer brothers talking to one of the productions assistant as they make eye contact with you.

"oh there you are y/n. scared for a moment you weren't gonna turn up." they say as you frantically go to apologise.

"i'm so sorry, promise it won't happen again. mum and i just woke up late and-" they interupt you as ross taps you on the shoulder.

"don't worry about it, your a kid. we let you sleep in." he says as you smile.

"thanks." you answer as they turn to the production.

"so the cast is in there with the director, you wanna go in." you nod almost immediately as the brothers smile at you, before leading you into the set. 

you walk into the room and see the whole cast, separated in corners of the room as pairs, all talking to each other. you instantly feel a pain in your chest, as you become to the realisation of meeting them. the duffer brothers notice and stop you for a moment.

"you okay y/n, we can meet them later if you want, you feeling anxious?"they ask as you shake your head.

"sorry, just my brain was late to processing everything. no, i want to meet them. i'm sorry." you answer as the duffer brothers look at each other before walking over to gaten and millie. you see millie talking to gaten and seeing exactly how you pictured her. she was wearing a soft blue dress with her hair straighten with no makeup. you almost fangirl right in front of her until she turns to you.

"millie this is-" she instantly cuts the brothers off with hugging you. you jump back a little as she really engulfs in the hug. you obviously hug her back as you feel your nerves going heigh wire. 

"oh my god, look at you. wow. hi i'm millie and you must be the beautiful y/n." millie says, extending her hand as you nod.

"yep, thats me." you answer as she smiles.

"i'm so excited for another girl to be apart of this cast. gosh, and also your so beautiful." you look down at yourself as you look back at her.

"thank you. but you always look beautiful so." you answer as she blushes.

"i like her." she says to the duffer brothers as you giggle.

"millie, would you mind introducing y/n to everyone?"matt asks as she nods her head.

"of course i would, a teenager should invite another teenager to her friends." she answers, as she takes your hand and pulls you towards gaten.

sorry i'm tired.

i'll finish this tomorrow don't worry. not doing anything better so i'll just write for a bit why not.
