19. New Beginning

Gray’s POV

“Juvia!” I can’t believe I’m doing this on our wedding day. I could hear her sobs inside the bathroom. When will she come out? The ceremony will start few minutes from now. Damn her emotional hormones.

“Juvia, we could just adjust your dress.” Lucy said behind my back. Oh no,

“No, Juvia can’t wear that. She..she..” then again I hear her sob. This is so ridiculous.

“Juvia,” Levy was also here. I sighed. Not this situation again. I turned to Levy and Lucy.

“I’ll just talk to her. Can you please give us a few moments?” Levy and Lucy looked at each other. Oh please, I don’t have time for this.

“Okay.” then they left. Finally.

I knocked again at the bathroom where Juvia is. And I could hear her sobs. I was planning on opening up the door but it is locked.

“Juvia…” I pleaded. She doesn’t want to get out of the bathroom and wear her wedding dress just because she gained a damn 5 pounds.

“No, Gray-sama.” She protested. I sighed for a hundredth time. Well, I’m doing this again to her. I can’t believe I’m here reasoning with Juvia about this. When I should be at the altar waiting for her to walk down the aisle.

“So are you saying you’re not gonna come out?”

“Yes, Gray-sama.” I sighed.

“Don’t you wanna marry me, Juvia?” I said.

“Juvia wants to marry Gray-sama!” She said as if she was offended with what I said.

“Then, why aren’t you dress up in your dress. It seems my bride had left me.” I said calmly.

“WHAT?! No, Gray-sama. Juvia would never leave Gray-sama.” I smiled as I hear that thought. But what would make her leave that bathroom and walk down the aisle.

“I know, Juvia. I know. So when will you come out?”

I hear her opened the door but I hold the knob and refuse to open it.

“Gray-sama…”

“You say it’s bad luck to see the bride before the wedding.”

“Gray-sama doesn’t believe in that.” She chuckled.

“But you do. You sure you’re okay now?” I asked.

“Yeah, but Juvia’s a bit hungry.”

I chuckled. She got hungry after crying. What a cute weirdo.

“Okay, I’ll wait for you after you eat.”

“Yes, Gray-sama.”

“Will the dress fit you?” I cracked a joke and she just laughed.

“Gray-sama, stop teasing Juvia.”

“Alright.” Then I walked out of the room.

“She will go out now.” I told Levy and Lucy who were outside the room.

“She said she’s hungry.” Then I walked out.

I went back to the garden where all the visitors were impatiently waiting. I am irritated with this wedding. I just want a simple and tranquil wedding but this is what Juvia wants. Everybody was invited. This wedding is so pageantry for me. But I shrugged that thoughts for this will be worth it.

“Getting cold feet, Ice boy?” I glared at Lyon. He’s the best man by the way. But now, I do feel I regret my decision.

“Shut up.” Then Loke, Natsu and Gajeel started laughing. Damn those fools.

Then a signal came through us that the wedding will start a few moments. Suddenly, I became this nervous. Damn hell! Why now? I’m ready for this! I’m gonna live with Juvia for the rest of my life. I will wake up with her every mornings of my life.

Then, they started to march. From the flower girl which is Asuka, from Aries and Loke, Lucy and Natsu, Gajeel and Levy and Erza and Jellal. And then HER.

She was wearing a very stunning dress. I don’t know anything about girl’s stuff so I don’t hell know what kind of design it is. But she’s very beautiful. I’ve seen her in many dresses even without it. But by now, wearing that dress, I might not be able to control myself. Damn this Gray! there she is…

She’s walking towards me. She’s smiling. I could see her  tears behind those veils. I think this was the very slowest time of my life. Then, she’s in front of me. still smiling.

“Gray-sama.” I helped her wipe her tears. She’s really an emotional freak.

“Shh…you can cry later baby. At our honeymoon.” I whispered and she lightly beat my shoulder.

My eyes were drifted to her the whole ceremony. The words of the priest were just flying to my ears. I just want to be wedded to  her and live with her every second of the day. The way she looks, the way her eyes look through me, those big blue eyes and those smiles…I want to see it everday of my life.

Now, I’ll give my vows to her.

“Juvia, I don’t even know how to say this…err, when I met you my first impression to you was…the gir with a blue hair” I heard laughter from the crowd. This is so embarrassing. “Oh God! I’m no good in words but I can assure you that I can show you how much I really love you, how much I wanted you to be with me for the rest of my life.” Then I slid the ring in her finger. I could see her tear up and sniffed.

“Hey, you’ve been crying a lot.” I helped her wipe her tears and she smiled.

“Gray-sama…when Gray-sama saved Juvia from the bullies, she started loving you. She knows that it’s crazy that she could fall in love so easily, but it wasn’t. Since that day, Juvia is falling deeply, madly in love with Gray-sama. Then, Juvia became so much happy when Gray-sama love he back. And from now on, Juvia will be happy to be Gray-sama’s wife. Juvia will always love you for the rest of her life” I was stunned with Juvia’s words. I can’t help some tears in my eyes. This is the woman I will love for the rest of my life.

“I now wannounced you man and wife.” That was the line that I’ve been waiting for. The time that I’ve been waiting for. FINALLY.

I held Juvia’s waist closer to mine and rushed through her lips. I don’t freaking care if everyone sees this. I could hear loud cheers and hooting from all the people.

“I love you Juvia.”  I said and hugged her tight.

At the reception, Juvia’s tears seem to be endless. She was vey moody this past few days. And now, she was crying through the mass and now here.

“Hey baby, when will you stop crying?” I whispered at her and she just smiled.

“Juvia is just happy that Gray-sama married her. I’m so sorry Gray-sama.”

“It’s okay. I’m so happy too. Come on, let’s dance.” I offered my hand to her and she accepted it.

“Are you sure, Gray-sama?”

“Yeah, I’m sure. My feet had gone through a lot because of this. I will be happy if I apply what I’ve had learned.” She chuckled and we went to the center and do these dance steps I’ve learned.

“Juvia is pregnant.” I looked at her and…what? Juvia is pregenant?

Those mood swings…those emotional hormones..those cravings I’ve seen before the wedding..

“I-I’m gonna be a…dad?” I really can’t believe it. Happy…nervous…I’m going to be a father…

“D-does Gray-sama..not want it?”

“What? Of course I wanted it so bad Juvia.” I couldn’t help my tears anymore. I’m just overwhelmed with these feelings. I’m going to be a father. I carried Juvia by the waist and spin her around.

“Gray-sama.” she squealed.

“Oops! Sorry…couldn’t help it.”  I started panicking.

“Is the baby alright?” I hold her stomach as if it was a fragile vase that can be broken anytime.

“The baby’s fine Gray-sama.” she giggled and I looked up to her.

“I really love you so much, Juvia.” then I went to kissed her stomach.
