Juvia and Gray were hanging out in their dorm. They’ve been in a relationship for more than year and it was getting stronger than ever. Juvia is gonna graduate soon in her four-year course and Gray still had one year to graduate. They were in the couch reclining against each other. They are no words that came from them; just their presence is enough to satisfy their lone time. Lately, they’ve been busy with work and school so this moment was just relaxing to the both of them.

Yet again, Gray has something on his mind then he sighed.

“Hm, is something wrong Gray-sama?” Juvia asked as she opened her eyes to see her boyfriend.

“It’s nothing Juvia, just go back to sleep.” He said reluctantly.

“Juvia’s not sleeping. She’s just feeling Gray-sama’s warmth.” She said and snuggled to Gray. It’s funny that they both manage to lie down on the couch.

Gray smiled and kissed her girlfriend. Sometimes, little words or actions that came from Juvia can make his heart beats faster, hell yeah, full of cheesy lines but that’s the truth. But he could not resist thinking about a thing. Juvia’s gonna graduate soon and she will be gone in the university. It’s not that he couldn’t handle himself but the fact that he just wants to stay in Juvia’s side. He wants to go home after work or school with the presence of Juvia at their home. Gray closed his eyes by his thoughts.

“Does Gray-sama have something in his mind?” Juvia asked again. “Does Gray-sama want to talk about it?”

Gray sat up in the couch and signaled Juvia do sit beside him. Juvia raised her eyebrows but tend to followed Gray.

“You’re gonna graduate, Juvia.”

“Juvia is aware of that Gray-sama.” She said innocently.

“You’re no longer gonna live here.”

“Juvia will always come here at the university.” She said caressing her back. “Juvia knows that Gray-sama will miss Juvia but Juvia isn’t leaving yet.”

“I know.” Gray replied. “And Gray is going to be sad and alone if Mommy Juvia leaves” He mocked pout at Juvia and acted like a baby.

Juvia chuckled and she hugged Gray from behind, “Make sure Gray-sama will behave or there will be no reward from Mommy Juvia.”

“Aye, sir.” He replied laughing. He stopped for a moment to kiss Juvia and he gently lied down Juvia on the couch.

As their lips parted to gasped for air, Gray looked seriously at Juvia and started talking.

“Juvia, I have something to tell you.”

“What is it, Gray-sama?” She asked curiously, but on the other hand she’s quite nervous and frantic because of the seriousness of her boyfriend’s face.

Gray took a deep breath, “Juvia, I’ve been thinking about our future.”

“Our future?” She raised an eye brow

“Yeah, you know,” he was having a hard time telling Juvia this. But he just wanted to say that he was just preparing for domestic life, having a family and kids and other stuffs. But yeah, definitely, this isn’t the time for them; he just wanted to prepare it before they planned to have a family.

“Gray-sama can tell anything to Juvia.” She said as she held Gray’s hand. He smiled a bit, took a deep breath and sighed.

“I’ve been looking for houses these past few days. I know we’ve met each other parents and they were cool with our relationship. I want you to ask something…” Juvia could see a tint of redness in Gray’s face. Juvia barely see this kind of expression he had.

“It’s alright if you say no…”he hesitated for a second and looked to Juvia’s eyes that were waiting for his speech. “I wanted to ask on how about we moved and have a place of our own?”

Juvia’s eyes widened as soon as she heard Gray. Practically, Gray indirectly, proposes to Juvia. Juvia’s mind was trailed off with so many fantasies in her mind like being a dutiful housewife to Gray and stuffs. What she didn’t see is that Gray is getting the wrong idea.

“J-just forget about that Juvia,” he stood up feeling a stupid with his moves. He feels stupid for asking Juvia this early to have their own place. He knew how much Juvia loves him but as he thought that asking her was a very stupid move he did on Juvia.

As Gray walked away in the living room, he felt Juvia’s hug from behind.

“Gray-sama is so mean. Gray-sama doesn’t have to say to forget what he said earlier, Gray-sama is being mean to Mommy Juvia.” He chuckled as he heard Juvia’s childish play.

“So you’re okay with having our own place?” He turned to Juvia and looked at her eyes.

“Of course, Gray-sama.” She smiled widely then hugged Gray.

After that, Gray explained to Juvia that he had already found a house and he already paid for it. Juvia was a bit surprise with her boyfriend’s doing because she didn’t expect that Gray would also come up with the plan on having a future with her. She was very touched with Gray and couldn’t resist fantasizing about things of being a dutiful housewife to Gray. Of course before they move out to their own place, they have said to their parents. The next day they went to each other’s parents to say about that thing. Both parents were a bit shock. They were some arguments but in the end both parties agreed since that’s what their children want.

A week after that they were supposed to check on the house that Gray bought. Gray must have saved a lot to afford a cozy house with 3 bedrooms. Gray signed the lease and he felt a sense of pride owning his new house. They take a grand tour around the house and they were impressed with the huge space. The house was very well-made and is very spacious.

“Do you like it?” Gray asked Juvia and hugged her from behind.

“Yes, Gray-sama,” she replied as she caressed his hands.

“We’re gonna make a big family here, don’t you think?” He kissed her earlobe that made Juvia giggled.

“Juvia and Gray-sama had to graduate first.”

“Yeah, you’re right.”

“But first Juvia and Gray-sama had to fill the spaces here.”

“Guess, you’re right.”

A week later after the visit…

“Gray-sama can’t” Juvia said while blocking the door.

“What? But why Juvia? I need to see our house.” He was getting frustrated because he’s been asking the question a million times.

“Gray-sama can—

This time Gray had managed to get through the door by kissing Juvia. Why didn’t he do it in the first place? Juvia was drowned again with her boyfriend’s lips that he managed to open the door kissing her.

“So what have you been hiding from me, huh?” He asked as he raised an eyebrow to Juvia. Then he looked at the place. Gray’s jaw literally fell off when he saw the place.

“Ju—Juvia..”

“It’s a surprise for Gray-sama but he insists to come inside. Juvia hasn’t finished it yet.” Juvia crossed her arms. Gray could see the embarrassment from Juvia’s red cheeks.

The house was full of mess. There were scattered newspaper, paints, wallpapers and brushes. It was kinda big for Juvia to decorate this house alone rather than in their dorm where it will just take one day to decorate and paint the walls.

“Gray-sama is so mean.” She mumbled and pouted. Gray could only chuckle.

“See, Gray-sama is laughing at Juvia.” She protested. “Gray-sama is so mean.” She was about to walked out of the door when Gray held her hand and hugged her tight.

“Thanks for the surprised, Juvia.” He whispered in her ear then he kissed her forehead.

“It’s not yet done Gray-sama.”

“I don’t care, as long as it came from you.” Juvia went red and smiled at her boyfriend’s words. One line from Gray would make her fall in love with him more.

“J-Juvia has been working this for a week but the house is just too big.” She explained but he didn’t need it anymore because by the thought of making him a surprise was really overwhelming for him. 

“Well then let’s finished it together?”

“Then, it wouldn’t be a surprise for Gray-sama anymore.” Gray chuckled with Juvia’s reasoning. ‘She really is weird. That’s why I fall in love with her’ he thought.

“I want to help Juvia.” he said and kissed Juvia on the lips. “Please, let me help, Ju” he said in a more pleasing tone.

“Okay, Gray-sama.”

Later that day, Juvia and Gray finished painting the walls with sky blue accent color and put in some stuffs like the sofa, lampshade, a television set which was a gift from their friends at the guild, a dining table which Juvia had picked and some other stuffs.

“Gray-sama, you put that there.” she pointed the place where she wanted to place their photo.

“Is this really necessary, Juvia?” he protested. He was hanging a big frame of their first picture together in the living room, the one that Gray seen in their board on the dorm.

“Why Gray-sama? Is there a reason why Juvia and Gray can’t hang it?”

“No, well you know…"

“Is Gray-sama embarrassed?”

“WHAT? Of course not, why would I Juvia?”

“Well then, it should be hanged up just like that. After all, it was Gray-sama and Juvia’s first photo.” she smiled at Gray. He hugged her gave Juvia a peck on the cheeks and they stared at the picture as if remembering that moment.

“But, Juvia, does it have to be that big?”

“Of course Gray-sama, Juvia wants it.”

“Then, so be it” Gray chuckled.

After some arrangements in the house and all the rooms, the two of them went outside to grab something to eat and to buy some foods to stock. They both enjoyed that day even though they were both tired of arranging and decorating their new home. Later that night, Juvia and Gray went home and prepared to sleep.

“Hmmm...” Gray snuggled at Juvia’s waist.

“Juvia thought Gray-sama is sleeping.” She slowly opened her eyes and turned to Gray.

“Thanks for the surprise for today Ju,” He said groggily.

“Is Gray-sama sleep talking?”

He chuckled. “You really are weird, Ju. I don’t talk to my sleep.” She blushed. “Gray just wanted to thank Juvia for this surprise.” He started kissing Juvia. the down to Juvia's jaw.

“It isn’t a surprise anymore, Gray-sama.”

“For me it is,” And he kissed Juvia tenderly. “And this time I wanted to surprise you more.” He kissed Juvia again and she responded to it, getting Gray’s message.

 They were already making out.

The doorbell rings that made both jumped in shock. The doorbell ring once again. Then they heard voices.

“Hey Gray, let me in your house.” Natsu said.

“Don’t tell us you and Juvia are sleeping this early. It’s only 10 pm.” Erza yelled.

“Maybe we shouldn’t barge in other houses.” Lucy said.

“DAMN!” Gray groaned. He was in the middle of their moment when their friends from the guild will suddenly barge in their house. Juvia could only sigh at the antics of her friends. Of course, she wanted to have some nights with Gray, now that they actually have a new home but she couldn’t just let her friends outside their house and wait.

“Well, Juvia thinks we should entertain them.” Juvia said as she was putting her clothes on. “They’re the first guest after all.” She smiled and gave her disappointed boyfriend a peck on the lips.

“Yeah, whatever. They really are on good timing.” He said sarcastically. Juvia could only laugh and drag Gray out of their bed to greet their friends and have them take a look on their new home.
