2. Memories

Juvia’s POV

“I’m sorry Juvia.” That is all Gray-sama said.

“Juvia misses you, Gray-sama.” Juvia suddenly fell on her knees crying quietly. Juvia would not want to be heard by Gray-sama. Juvia doesn’t want to bother him anymore. Juvia was only a disturbance to Gray-sama’s future. Juvia don’t want to be a burden to Gray-sama. He needs to concentrate in his studies.

Juvia cried on the kitchen with my knees on the floor for about 20 minutes. Juvia needs to get up now before Gray-sama comes out of his room. Juvia just pick up the plates we have eaten and she cleans up in the kitchen. Juvia wants to forget what happened tonight, Juvia was planning on having good conversation with my Gray-sama but Juvia can’t. Juvia just can’t. It was painful to look at him, smile at him and love him but not loving Juvia back. He left Juvia here alone. Juvia's life without him here was so painful…

“Hello children! Welcome to FTail Colleges.” He looks weird but I’m thankful that Juvia have been admitted in this prominent school. They said only few students were enrolled here and most students here were really smart. Juvia really wants to be here. I think this was the best school for Juvia. Juvia had been bullied and outcast on her high school days. Only few would talk to Juvia. They all think that Juvia is weird. So Juvia wanted to be here. Juvia think that this school was fitted to her. Juvia may start her new life here.

“You will stay here for all semester. Since, our school is located far away from the city. Two students will share one room in this dormitory. We already posted the paper so just look for your names and your roommates and also your room number. Dorm leader Mira will give you the keys to your room. Classes will start next week so with the orientation. That is all and welcome freshmen.” Dean Makarov said.

Juvia looked at the paper posted on the bulletin board. “Where’s my name? L-L-ockser…” This place is so crowded. I couldn’t breathe.

“Excuse me...” Juvia gasped for air as I exited on the crowd. Juvia sighed. “Juvia will just look later…”

When, the other students had finished looking for the rooms, roommate and keys. Juvia started to go to the bulletin board… ‘Juvia Lockser…oh there it is...’

“Building A Room 16.” Juvia heard a man’s voice said the same room as mine.

Juvia looked at him. Spiky black hair, black eyes and good posture. No, perfect posture. Perfect. Juvia felt a blushed on my cheek. It is him. Juvia knows this man. ‘Why is Juvia suddenly like this?’

“Oh you two are left…here’s the key…” The dorm leader said with a smile. She was beautiful.

“Huh? I was partnered with her…I mean a girl. Isn’t it too awkward?” The man asked with his cool voice.

Juvia knows him. Gray Fullbuster. Juvia’s classmate on high school. Juvia didn’t even know he enrolled here. Juvia thought he wasn’t interested to go to college.

“Excuse me. Do we have a problem here?” Dorm leader blinked her eyes. She is too pretty.

“I am just confused for a moment. Is it really okay that opposite gender should be roommates?” He asked with a polite and cool voice.

“Of course, my son. All freshmen were roommates with their opposite gender. This will also be part of learning. DISCIPLINE. Just enjoy your stay here okay, Fullbuster.” The dean explained.

“Scary...” Juvia whispered.

“Yah, think?” He heard Juvia. Blood rushed through my face.

“Hey, are you okay, Juvia? You’re face were red. Are you sick?” He knows Juvia’s name.

“Oh, you two know each other?” Dorm leader asks with a teasing smile.

“Yeah, she’s my classmate in high school, Juvia Lockser, right?” He smiled at Juvia. Juvia feels she’s going to faint but no, don’t. Juvia just nodded at him shyly.

“Hey, do you even know me?” He asked Juvia again but now leaning to see my face. ‘Oh my gosh, he was so close.’

Juvia nodded and Juvia said his name “G-gg-Gray Fullbuster.”

Gray Fullbuster offers a big smile at me.

Juvia remembers how he had saved Juvia from the boys at their school. When Juvia was walking home, the boys at their school was always pulling Juvia’s hair. And then, someone walks beside Juvia and stare madly at those stupid boys who was pulling Juvia’s hair. And then suddenly, the boys were gone and Juvia saw them running away as fast as they can. Juvia looked at the boy and he just said “You have a beautiful blue hair. Take care of that, okay?” He offered me again a big smile like he did  today.

 “Gray-sama.” Juvia whispered again.

“Let’s go and check our room shall we?” Gray-sama asked me.

“Okay, Gray-sama.” Juvia answered.

“Hey, Gray-sama again? Gray is fine.” Gray-sama had a really cool voice.

“Juvia is sorry, Gray-sama…but Juvia can’t call you just Gray. You saved me once from the bullies back then,” Juvia answered Gray-sama.

“Oh, you still remember that. Nah, no one should be bullied. That’s what I believe.” He said as we walked passed through the buildings to the direction of our room.

Being with Gray-sama, Juvia felt good. Juvia’s heart was beating fast. Juvia already know that she had a crush on Gray-sama in high school but Juvia’s heart is throbbing so fast. Juvia would faint if this goes on. Juvia had to breathe. Inhale…exhale...inhale…

“Hey, Juvia? Are you okay?” Gray-sama looked at Juvia.

“Juvia is fine, Gray-sama.”

Then Gray-sama laughed “You hadn’t changed the third person in you, ya know?”

Juvia felt embarrassed. “Juvia’s sorry, Gray-sama.”

“Nah… I think it was funny and weird… but in a good way. Don’t be sorry, Juvia.” Gray-sama smiled again but this time Juvia was feeling better. Juvia even laughed at what Gray-sama said. It was the first time Juvia was complimented. And it was very special because it was Gray-sama who complimented Juvia. Juvia was really happy. Juvia felt warm in her heart. It was a good feeling.

“So how did you know about this school?” Gray-sama asks Juvia again. Juvia was much honored.

“Juvia was recommended here. Juvia thinks that this school will fit Juvia well. Few students…few bullies” Juvia was about to cry and then Juvia saw Gray-sama stop. She held back her tears.

“Look, we are here. Room 16” Gray-sama opened the door and the room was huge. Of course, there was nothing in it.

“Whoa, it’s huge.” Gray-sama was amazed. Juvia never saw him like that.

“It’s empty…”

“Oh yeah…” Gray-sama answered “How about we buy things to fill this room? I think we can put things here right? It doesn’t say that we can’t fill in some personal things, right?”

“Juvia thinks that too.” The only thing in the enormous room was white curtains. There were 2 rooms and 1 bathroom. It was really empty.

“Well, I’m tired.” Gray exclaimed. “Maybe we should do that later. What do you say Juvia?”

“That’s fine with Juvia, Gray-sama” Juvia smiled at him as Gray-sama sits on the floor. “Juvia didn’t know Gray-sama would be interested to go to college. So what course are you taking, Gray-sama?”

“Hm…yeah. My dad would got angry if I don’t go to college.” Gray-sama answered.

“So Gray-sama was force to go to college?” Juvia asked.

“Not really. I was the one who insisted to enroll here. I am taking civil engineering. My father was satisfied with my decision so he let me here even he doesn’t want to.” Juvia just listened to Gray-sama and Gray-sama looked at me as he continues with his story “My father wants me to take business ad.”

“Juvia was enrolled at business ad department. In marketing department...”

“Ohh… you will take over your family business, right?” Gray-sama asked “Do you want to take that course?”

Juvia nodded at Gray-sama “Juvia likes music, painting and photography, so I wanted to take a course that has something to do with what Juvia wants.”

“So?” Gray-sama was curious listening to me. “Juvia’s mother said Juvia needs to take over Lockser’s family business...”

“Ah…Lockser…. Garments, shoes, bags?” Gray-sama asked.

“Yes, Gray-sama. Juvia has a bit interest with those things. So Juvia accepted her fate,”

“Well, good luck with that!” Gray-sama smiled once again. Does Gray-sama always like these? As far as Juvia knows, Gray-sama never smiles at school.

“Let’s do our best Gray-sama” Juvia said cheerfully to Gray-sama. Juvia wants to cheer Gray-sama in any way Gray-sama wants to. Juvia likes Gray-sama.

Juvia cried again after she remembered beautiful memories with Gray-sama.

“Hey Juvia…stop crying.” Juvia could not stop her tears

“I…Juvia can’t stop her tears, Gray-sama.”
