It's been almost a week since I last spoke to Abel. While in Europe doing his shows he kept calling and texting me but I wasn't ready to talk to him. This whole Valerie situation really bothered me because I couldn't understand why was he cared so much. My thoughts ran wild and I felt that he still loved her. Knowing Amina was with Cash I didn't bother her with my problems so since it was Laura's last day day in town I decided to spend the day with her and her fathers family in Scarsbourgh who happen to be Habesha (Ethiopian).

Pulling my rider boots up I grabbed my coat and purse and waited for her call that she was here to get me. Going through my phone I saw Abel posting pictures from his shows and couldn't help but miss him. When he came back I didn't know what was going to happen between us since we left things unsettled.

Getting the call from Laura I locked my door and headed down.

"What's up girl?"

Giving her a quick hug before we drove off I noticed her low red eyes and a blunt in her left hand.

"Laura your dad is going to kick your ass if he sees you high"

"You can tell? Shit"

"I'll give you some Visine to get the redness out of your eyes so chill"

"You're a life saver My, so are you ready for this dinner?"

Before Laura's mother passed away I was often over at her house having dinner with her family so it wasn't a big deal when she invited me to the dinner party that relatives were having for her.

"Yeah, it's been a while since I had some of your native cuisine. I've been missing those tortilla looking bread.."

"Injera.. Tortilla? Really My?"

She laughed as she corrected me.

"Oh and that beefy fajita stuff on the side.."

"Zilzil.. My auntie is making all of that and some other great stuff, She's the best"

"Great because I'm starving, It's funny because I'm kind of seeing a guy who's Ethiopian"

"Since when have you been dating?"

"It sort of just happened. Abel is beautiful, his dick is made out of magic and his tongue has super powers and he's fucken amazing. He's also sweet when he's wants to be, ugh his habit just messes everything up"

"Magic dick? Super power tongue? Are we talking about a porn star?"

Laughing at my description she looked confused.

"No, Abel is a singer"

"Sounds like a catch, I have a cousin named Abel remember?"

She giggled at the memory of her cousin standing me up at a high school dance. Laura asked her cousin Abel to take me since I didn't have a date but he never showed or bother to call me telling me he wasn't coming.

"Fuck your cousin Laura, I've never met him but he's a jerk for that"

"Well he's a player anyways, and now that he's famous he's even more of a man whore"

Sitting there I didn't think to make the connection between Laura's cousin and Abel together.

"Abel is famous?"

"He doesn't go by Abel, he goes by The Weeknd now"

Looking at Laura I just smiled.

"Oh my god Simaya, don't tell me your boyfriend is my cousin?!"

"Yeah..."

"Eww! You just told me about his sexing, oh I didn't need to know that"

"I'm sorry! I didn't know they were the same jerk! Didn't you see him at my birthday party?"

"I was kind of busy talking to guys to notice My, you know his mom is going to be at my dads?"

"What?! I can't meet his mom yet!"

"Just relax and act like you don't know, simple"

Looking at her as she drove I rolled my eyes.

"That'll really work Laura, I just don't want Abel to be bothered by me meeting his mom that's all"

"Let me call Abel.."

"No don't do that, I'm not talking to him right now"

"Why not?"

During the rest of the ride to her aunt T's house, whose Abel's mother, I told her about everything Abel and I been through while dating.

"Simaya I know my cousin and he doesn't love Valerie anymore, trust me that girl is off the wall. You need a break from the love, come back with me to Cali"

Her offer wasn't bad, not telling anyone that I quit the club not even Abel I had 2 weeks to myself until I started my new job in fashion assisting, basically putting the outfits together for models. Having enough money saved to pay my bills for the next 6 months, I had time for a vacation.

"Are you sure I won't bug Laura?"

"Hell no you won't, so please come.."

"Okay I'll go, but if can only stay for a week and I have to bring Gizmo with me"

"Who the fuck is Gizmo?"

"A puppy Abel gave for my birthday"

"Aw he really must love you to do something nice like that"

"I hope he does, I still haven't gave him his gift yet. The shit with Valerie really made me mad"

"So bring Gizmo and distract yourself a bit"

"Okay I'll go"

"This is going to be exciting!! We are for sure hitting up Las Vegas before my cousin comes back and ties you down"

"It's not even like that!

"Now that you're meeting your mother in law shit just got real"

Looking at Laura laugh at her own jokes made me laugh too.

"You're a fool Laura"

Abel:

I've been in London for almost a week and was about to head to France for the last two shows. These weeks couldn't have gone any faster, since Valerie showed up at Maya's door and me leaving with just made things complicated. Getting high on whatever Val gave me just made me hallucinate and I ended up falling asleep.

They way she was acting she probably thought something happened between Val and me, which nothing did but how would I convince her? If I was in her shoes I wouldn't trust my ass either. Missing her I made sure and texted her that I loved her every day even though she didn't reply. A part of me wanted to stop trying because she doesn't deserve all bullshit I give her but I was in too deep at this point, I loved the girl and wanted her with me.

"Yo you ready nigga?"

Looking back to the seat next to me Lamar looked at me confused.

"Yeah I'm good, just thinking about shit"

"More like thinking about the girl you left back home"

"Nah... I'm just thinking about this album release"

Smirking Lamar knew I was lying.

"You can't lie to me, since we been here you've been different. This Abel in front of me hasn't touched any of the females thrown at him. The Abel from last year had a different girl morning, noon and night. You must love that girl to give that up"

Snickering at how Lamar described my change, he was right. This time around I wasn't interested in fucking females, I just gave my fans a hell of a show and waited to get back to my girl.

"I do it's just that sometimes I think she's not about this life. She wanted me to quit coke and I don't think I could. She says I act different when I'm on it"

"She's right nigga, your midget ass be thinking you the Hulk and shit"

Flipping him off as he laughed I could hear Hyghly in the back of the SUV laugh too.

"Fuck you niggas"

Getting to our hotel in France my boys went to sight see and left me to rest in my suite. Laying in bed and staring at the ceiling I decided to call Maya.

*Ring...Ring.....Ring....*

"Hello"

"I didn't think you were going to answer"

"Sorry for avoiding you, I wasn't ready to talk"

"Don't apologize, I'm the one that should be asking you to forgive me"

"Abe-"

"Maya I swear I didn't do anything with Valerie, I did do some blow or what I though was coke. But I swear on my mama babe I didn't touch her"

Hearing her walk away from what sounded like a gathering of people or party.

"Where are you?"

"I'm with a friend in Scarborough  . Abel I believe you when you say that you didn't do anything with Valerie, I was mad at the fact that you still act like you're in love with her"

"Baby when I get back I'll explain everything, just don't give up on me yet. Why don't I fly you here to France, Amina seems lonely since Cash and I are working"

"I can't go babe, I'll be in California with a friend. I've been trying to call and text Amina but she doesnt answer me, is she okay?"

"She's good, service here is tricky. And what friend are you going to Cali with?"

"Abel... you know you owe me for not showing up on 2 dates right?"

"I only didn't show up for one... so when was the second time?"

"Well.. I was the friend your cousin Laura asked you to be my date and she's the one I'm going to California with"

Smiling from ear to ear I couldn't believe she was my little cousins friend who couldn't get a date.

"Shit.. that was you? It was Lamar's fault he convinced me not to go, saying why was I going to waste my time on a girl who was likely not going to put out"

"Well too bad for you because I met a nice guy that night and he had what you could of gotten..."

I stood quiet not knowing what to say until she bursted out in laughter.

"I'm joking Abel, because of you I was alone"

"I'm sorry baby I owe you big time and since you're goin to be with my big headed cousin maybe I'll meet you in Cali instead of me going back to Toronto"

"I would like that baby, I really miss you"

"I miss you too baby girl. I'll see you in Cali in couple more days"
