The wind calmly blew a stray peice of hair away from Zeref's face as his closed eyes squeezed in concentration. His breath was slow and ragged, sweat glisten on his forehead and concentration was evident in his form.

Taking another deep breath, Zeref continued. The noises of a frustrated Naruto in the background.

With a sudden fluctuation in his Chakra, Zeref's eyes snapped open as he took greedy gulps of air.

"You ok?" Naruto asked.

Both Sensei's were in the town nearby to look for information on where Tsunade was.

"H- H.... Hai!" Zeref wheeled out.

Pain flowed through his entire Chakra system, which made his whole body hurt.

"Your struggling too huh? This balloon won't pop they way Pervy sage did, beleive it" Naruto grumbled out.

"Yeah, my Chakra Nature, and my Spiritual Chakra won't combine, and it's causing me pain" Zeref replied.

"Hey! Maby we could give eachother ideas!" Naruto shouted.

Zeref raised an eyebrow, but he was out of ideas and didn't see a problem with trying.

"Hn. Ok then" Zeref muttered.

"Ooh! Ooh! I'll go first.. umm.. have you tried matching the flow of the two Chakras?" Naruto asked.

Zeref sat up shockingly quickly.

He hadn't tried that, and it was smart, Zeref looked at Naruto in slight shock. Was he always this clever? Or was it a one time thing.

"No, I haven't. That could work. Ok my turn, have you tried spinning your Chakra in multiple directions?" Zeref asked.

Now it was Naruto's turn to be shocked.

"I can't believe I haven't tried that yet!!" He shouted.

"Believe it" Zeref muttered earning a playful glare from Naruto.

With the fresh ideas in mind the pair were determined to get it right.

Zeref entered his meditative state once more and grabbed the two Chakra flows.

He then altered both his spiritual and Fire nature Chakra to flow at the same level.

He then held the two close to eachother and allowed his fire Nature to Naturally integrate itself into the flow of his spiritual Nature.

Slowly his spiritual Nature morphed from a sharp blue to a soft red, and instead of harshly rejecting, Zeref felt his body became Naturally warmer.

Finally opening his eyes, Zeref had came to the realisation that he had done it. Although no one could see thanks to his Uchiha Gene's, the pupil of his eyes slitted.

He looked over to Naruto and saw the peices of the popped baloon on the grass below them.

Both of them had completed the first stage.

The next day, Naruto shows Jiraiya his progress and Zeref shows Kai.

"Excellent. The next step is to expand your new found Chakra to beyond your body." Kai said.

"So you want my Chakra to flow around me?" Zeref said.

Kai nodded and showed the earth slowly moving around her.

"The element will come later, but you must first master getting your Chakra to surround you." Kai explained she once again dissapeared.

Naruto now had to pop a rubber ball and so they got to work.

Naruto was using too little Chakra and Zeref was using too much.

They both were trying to alter the amount they use, but is was difficult, Zeref would always use too much and feel like he can't breath, while Naruto doesn't use enough Chakra only putting a hole In the ball and not popping it.

The two were at it for around a week before they both got it.

Zeref completed his first, he let his Chakra surround him as if wearing a second layer of clothing.

Naruto finally used enough Chakra and popped the ball sending himself flying across the clearing.

With both of them completing the second stage they moved on to the final stage.

"Alright Zeref, this is good for you, cus it's somethin you can do on the go!" Ryuji said.

"Hn" Zeref grunted.

"I get no respect" Ryuji whined.

Zeref rolled his eyes at the idiotic dragon, he always thought that all dragons were wise, apparently not.

"Alright kid. Now you have to enforce your flames from the Chakra that surrounds you and is inside of you. Try it with your hand and work your way around, before moving inside. Like so" Ryuji said.

His paw then caught on fire before slowly growing up his arm and around his body, when he was done, the flames on the outside were still active, but when he opened his mouth Zeref could see the glow from the flames on the inside.

"Take your time with this, ya hear, you could burn your insides if you move too fast, good luck. Cya!" He said dissapearing in a cloud of smoke.

"Hn. Annoying overgrown lizard" Zeref grumbled.

Zeref looked up in time to see a blue ball explode in Naruto's hands sending him flying back into a tree.

"*sigh* this is going to be a painful trip" Zeref muttered.

Looking around he saw Acnologia taking deep breaths by a nearby tree.

Zeref narrowed his eyes, when he saw a small amount of blood leak from the mans mouth, though he was quick to wipe it up, he wasn't quick enough to stop Zeref from noticing.

Once again the four were on their way to the next town in Hope's of finding the gambling, slug queen.

The four headed to Tanzaku Castle, which was where the adults last heard of their teammate.

The two boys were still working hard to maintain their new abilities, but Naruto popped his baloon, which made Zeref loose focus and set his hand on fire, and not in the way he wanted.

After a while of walking, they see people running away from the direction they were going.

Jiraiya grabbed the arm of a man who was running past.

"Oi, What's going on?" He asked.

"Run! A giant snake appeared at Tanzaku Castle, before a massive rumble was heard and the whole thing collapsed!" He explained running.

The two adults immediately knew what this ment. Zeref knew what the snake ment but not the mini earthquake. Naruto didn't understand anything.

"I hate snakes" Zeref grumbled.

"A snake! Hey what kind! Me and my teammates were attacked by a giant snake during the Chunin exams!" Naruto shouted.

"I have a strong feeling that it's the same snake" Zeref muttered.

After looking at the destruction of the so called snake and earthquake, the four headed to a bar after Naruto starts complaining about food.

"But it's a bar!" Naruto shouted.

Acnologia rubbed his temples.

"You don't have to drink, were here for food!" Jiraiya shot back.

"I think I'm starting to remember why I turned crazy" Zeref grumbled.

"Wasn't it something about saving humans by becoming their ruler or something?" Acnologia mumbled back, the pair were watching the loud pair argue.

"No, it's because humans drive me crazy" he grumbled opening the door.

"Zeref! Were under age!" Naruto shouted.

"If I'm old enough to kill, I'm old enough to drink. Lets go, I'm hungry and have training to do" he said.

The other three watched his back as he opened the door, and filled in after him.

"Well, I'll be.. just the woman were looking for" Acnologia stated.

"Tsunade" Jiraiya said.

"Jiraiya and Acnologia" she said back.

After some complications, Zeref and Naruto were eating while the elders were drinking.

"So, how have you been" Jiraya said awkwardly.

Acnologia sighed.

"Ignore him. I'll get right to the point, the council has decided for you to become the 5th Hokage" Acnologia said.

Tsunade stopped drinking, and Naruto spat out his food.

"What!" He shouted.

Zeref continued to eat his Ramen, (courtesy of Naruto) wih no change in his actions.

The table is silent for a while except from Zeref's occasional slurping.

"I refuse" She replied.

"What?" Jiraya said.

"WHAT!" Naruto shouted.

Acnologia, and Shizune sighed.

Again, Zeref continued to slurp his Ramen, he was too tired to deal with the drama that comes with travelling with Naruto.

"Whatever! I don't care about your decision! Your coming back to Konoha so you can heal Sasuke and Kakashi Sensei!" Naruto shouted pointing at her.

Jiraya smacked the back of his head.

"His a bit more obnoxious than your last student, Jiraya. It looks like Logi got the better student" she said.

Everyone looked at said boy, who had his eyes closed and was peacefully slurping his 2nd bowl of Ramen ignoring everyone.

"Not that it matters. Minato went on to become the 4th Hokage, and needlessly gave his life away for that Village. Now the old man has gone and done the same, alongside the first and Second, and you expect me to do the same. Am I a joke to you? No, being the Hokage is the same as risking your life for idiots who don't care about you, and it's not worth my time" when Tsunade was finished Naruto was bright red with anger.

"HOW DARE YOU!! Gramps is ten times the Hokage you would EVER be, you don't deserve to be the Hokage!" He shouted.

"Kid if anyone deserves to be Hokage, it's me. I just don't want to be" she replied.

"You could NEVER be the Hokage!" He replied.

"Do you want to take this outside brat" she said.

"Gladly, Beleive it!"

Like that, the pair were outside preparing to fight, Tsunade looked over to Zeref who was now on his 3rd bowl and watching from the sidelines.

"What about you Gaki, you want to join in aswell?" She asked.

"Hn"

The two prepared to fight.

"I'm gonna kick your ass for insulting Gramps, then I'll drag you back to Konoha to heal Sasuke and Kakashi Sensei!" Naruto announced.

"I would love to see you try" she responded.

The two charged, and exchanged a few blows, Naruto eventually summoned a few clones but they were easily wiped out, Tsunade then sent him flying back, but Naruto was determined.

Naruto slowly powered up a Very unstable Rasengan and Charged at Tsuande, who's eyes widened with surprise.

After disarming the Rasengan and sending Naruto flying into a tree she finally questions him.

"Why do you even care about the Hokage title anyway" she said.

"I...it's my dream... to become the greatest... Hokage" he said between breaths.

Tsunade went quiet for a while and Naruto passed out.

A loud yawn destroyed the silence and everyone looked to the source, which was Zeref.

He looked at Tsunade with a dead eye stare, no emotion was seen, he scoffed at her slightly before walking into the forrest.

"Who are you scoffing at brat!" She shouted.

"You. I feel there is more to tour hatred of the Hokage title than risking your life, and from the look in your eyes, it's a painful memory. However.." Zeref growled out.

He finally turned around where everyone saw his Sharingans spinning widly with a silent rage.

"There is nothing I Despise, and disrespect more... than a Coward" he finished before walking off like nothing happened.

All four adults were frozen in shock as non of them expected this type of reaction.

Later on that night Naruto came to the forrest and saw Zeref training, he then explained the details of the bet he made with Tsunade.

"A bet?" Zeref asked.

"Yup!" Naruto responded.

"Let me get this straight. You and I have q week to master our own techniques. Should we fail she gets our money, but if we pass you get her necklace." He asked.

"Yup!" Naruto said.

"I gain absolutely nothing from this. Why the hell did you involve me" Zeref said.

"She said something about wanting the brat who called her a coward to be involved or no deal" he replied.

"No" Zeref said.

"Zeref~" Naruti whined.

"Don't do that" he replied.

"Please!"

"Die!"

Ok guys like I said no more leader board, so Vote on the last chapter, this is for suspense and it makes it easier for me to count the votes.

I'm sorry guys.. I gave it a chance I really did but I can't do it, writing incest is too cringy for me. I had written some tester chapter for a relationship between Zeref and Sasuke, but I can't do it.

In my mind they are Brothers, and so from here on out, Sasuke will no longer be a candidate for Zeref's love, HOWEVER!! Feel free to recommend someone for him to date.

Me personally I'm kinda leaning towards Ino.

I am back at college and writing chapters, when I have major projects to be done is getting difficult. I'm in year 13, or a second year of college for fellow brits, and it's getting stressful.

Forgive me the chapters will have huge gaps between them, I will try my hardest to have chapters up but I beg no spamming me, College is stressful enough.
