Chunin Exams pt1: Test

Team 5 awoke with determination, today was the Chunin exams a chance to prove themselves and a chance to test their skills against the best.

When team 5 walked onto the second floor of the academy and saw it said 3 all three held a different look.

Zeref was boredom.

Katsu was disappointment.

Mika was disgust.

"A Genjutsu do I look 5?" She said to her teammates.

"I don't know what to say, I'm shocked so many idiots fell for it." Katsu said shaking his head.

"Hn, who cares, if they can't see through it then they're not worth our time, let's go, this takes out the competition for us." Zeref stated.

He walked over to the stairs, Mika and Katsu behined him only to find two idiots blocking the way.

"You should really go home this exam is too hard for you kids" idiot one said

"Yeah, if you can't even get past us then you definitely won't survive" idiot two boasted.

With zero hesitation or patience Zeref turned on his Sharingan in anger and looked at the two who froze in shock and slight fear at the aura radiating off the boy.

"Move" he demanded.

Like robots the two stepped aside and let team 5 pass.

"Hey Uchiha what's your name!" A voice shouted.

Zeref turned to look at who had the audacity to address him in such a way

"Hyuga, of course" Zeref muttered looking at the long haired, pupiless Hyuga.

"Well" he said glaring at Zeref

"Non of your concern, I have no patience for a Hyuga who assumes he is above all. Arrogance will get you no where." Zeref stated.

"Neji just leave it" a girl said.

Neji proceeded to glare at Zeref's back as team 5 continued their trip to the room they were meant to meet in.

Zeref was in deep thought. He was so confused, what is wrong with him, one moment he wants to stab someones eye out, then he goes to acting colder then Sasuke only to then be kinder than Naruto.

Yes, he was very confused, it was almost like his brain couldn't decide who he wanted to be.

Insane

Cold

Warm

His body couldn't make up its mind so it's almost muddled them together. It was very strange.

He was trying to act like Natsu, but the trauma from this world makes him act worse than Sasuke, but the mixture of them both is causing him to go insane.

He really needed to get himself together before this troublesome issue got him killed.

His two team mates noticed Zeref in deep thought and were both curious to know what it was, but at the same time, didn't want to wake the sleeping dragon so they let him be.

When they walked into the official room everyone already in there looked at team 5 with a glare and K.I.

Mika and Katsu had a bit of sweat forming but kept up the appearances.

Zeref on the other hand glared and sent his own wave of K.I back at the crowd.

Alot of people shook in fear, some others stopped glaring and looked away in a huff at the loss, and a very select few continued to glare.

This was helpful since Zeref now had a rough idea of which ones in the room were going to be a problem and which ones were all bark and no bite.

"Let's go take a seat, quietly observe the others and those that come in, no need to draw useless attention to ourselves." Zeref Muttered to his team.

He gained to firm nods in return as they went and sat down.

Through observation and the smart move to use his hair to hide his Sharingan Zeref had an idea as to who they should avoid when fighting.

The first was Gaara, not because they couldn't take him down, but simply because Zeref wanted to fight him 1 on 1.

The next was the three from the village hidden in the sound. While he only found out just then that the village existed, the evil intent seen through their Chakra was enough evidence that they were out for blood.

Zeref wasn't sure if his team could handle having to kill another so that would be up to him if the time came.

The last one to keep an eye on was this one female Ninja from Grass. It's not that she had an aura about her, or that her Chakra showed her true intent, no, it was the gleam in her eye and the oddly suppressed Chakra that worried him.

She was very suspicious, and the fact that her Chakra was suppressed to look like it was average for a Chunin worried him, how much Chakra did she have if that's not her full amount.

Not to mention the skill she would need to trick the Proctors.

Too Suspicious, she was one they should definitely avoid.

"Oh my god those idiots" Katsu sighed.

Zeref, who was zoned out in thought snapped back and looked at the boy.

"Who?" Zeref said.

"Them" Mika hissed slightly annoyed they were ruining everything.

Zeref looked down to the front and saw the rest of the Rookie 12 making a tonn of noise.

Everyone was glaring at them, including team 5.

Then a boy with grey hair and glasses walked to the front.

"Hey guys you should keep it down" he said.

"Who are you!!?" Ino shouted.

"My names Kabuto, and I'm just trying to warn you, look around everyone is in high tension and the loud noise isn't helping" he explained.

The rookies looked around and saw everyone into the room was glaring at them.

"How troublesome" Shikamaru muttered.

"Oh, Hey Zeref!!!" Naruto shouted.

"Naruto shut up" said boy stated.

Team 5 watched the interaction with Kabuto and the 9 Genin very closely and all they could think was,  Suspicious.

Even more so when he pulled out his Ninja info cards.

"Gaara of the Sand, Rock Lee and Zeref Uchiha" Sasuke stated, he gave a smirk at the older Uchiha who only scoffed.

"Aww you know their names no fun" Kabuto said pulling out three blank cards.

All 12 Genins were paying attention to the cards.

Zeref held a Kunai under the desk incase he needed to destroy his card, it was a special Kunai  not his flying rijin, but one that had a seal that would set it on fire upon contact.

"First up Rock lee. He excels greatly in Taijustu  but cannot use Genjutsu or Ninjutsu. He has been a Genin for a full year with his team mates Neji Hyuga and TenTen with their Sensei Maito Gai. 0 S ranks, 0 A Ranks, 0 B Ranks, 19 C Ranks and 62 D Ranks." Kabuto announced.

The name Neji rung in Zerefs head as he thought back to earlier.

"The stuck up Hyuga" he whispered to himself.

Katsu and Mika made a mental note on Lee and his team.

"Next is Gaara of the sand  now he's from another village so there isn't much but. Youngest son of the Kazekage. There isn't anything on his stats but, he's done a B Rank, 34 C ranks and 0 D ranks but he came back from the all completely unscathed." Kabuto stated.

"You kidding, how troublesome" Shikamaru said.

"No way, a B rank and came back unscathed!" Kiba shouted.

Everyone else each held their own level of shock, however Sasuke and Naruto were both excited to hear about a strong opponent.

"Finally Zeref Dragneel Uchiha" Kabuto started.

"Wait Dragneel, I never knew that?" Sasuke said and looked over to said boy who held a bored expression.

"Yes well, excels in Ninjutsu, Taijutsu, Genjutsu, Kenjutsu, and Fuinjutsu. His team mates are Katsu Shinsogu and Mika Himiko. Their Sensei is Neisho Nara." Kabuto continued.

"Uncle Neisho he never told me that, troublesome man" Shika stated.

"He has completed 1 A rank, 1 B rank with Team 7, 15 C Ranks, 52 D ranks, and has recently learned the Fl- " Kabuto was cut off by a Kunai.

The kunai stabbed the card out of his hand and immediately set on fire burning the information.

Everyone looked at who threw it to discover the elder Uchiha with his hand still out.

"You got dangerously close to revealing something that would put me and my team in danger" Zeref stated.

He stood up, a sharp look in his eye as he walked over to the silverette.

"I've got one.." Zeref said, his aura radiating authority.

"O-oh, who?" Kabuto stuttered.

"You" he stated firmly.

"M-me?" He questioned.

"Actually you are suspicious" Sasuke stated.

"Oh boy " Katsu muttered.

Kabuto was about to pull out his card, with much hesitation, and sweat forming, but his eyes never left Zeref's heavy gaze.

Suddenly Naruto stood up and announced how he was going to pass the exams.

The crowd attention was on the boy in orange but Zeref kept his eyes glued to Kabuto.

That was until Zeref suddenly jumped back as the sound Ninja attacked Kabuto.

He dodged the punched by not a second later his glasses cracked and his ear started to bleed, he then threw up.

The naive ones, Naruto, Sakura, Kiba Ect, went to help.

Zeref, Mika, Katsu, Sasuke and Shikamaru observed to understand how the attack hit when Kabuto dodged the attack.

"Any ideas?" Katsu whispered to Zeref.

"Ninjas from the village hidden in the sound, threw a punch that was dodged, but still not only cracked glass, but burst an eardrum and therefore created a nauseating affect." Zeref explained to his team.

"I get it....." Mika stated narrowing her eyes into a glare.

"They attacked with sound" Katsu finished, making sure his sword was within grabbing reach.

"Stand down, we attack only if they strike first, no need for unnecessary violence" Zeref demanded.

Both teammates lightened their stances by non of the team members let their guard down.

After the attack and argument between team 7 and and the sound started.

In a puff of smoke a reasonably scary man wearing a bandana with the hidden leaf plate on it appeared. In a larger puff of smoke appeared more Chunins behind said scary man.

"SILENCE!" He shouted.

Instantly the room went quiet.

"Let's get something straight, any fighting before we have given permission is an instant disqualification, Understand!!" He shouted.

"Sorry it's our first time we got too excited" one of the Ninjas said.

The man looked like he was having non of it and proceeded to glare until the three from the sound backed away.

"My name is Ibiki Morino and I'm the procter for the First Chunin Exam test! Your written Exam! You will be placed in random seats so come forth to collect a seat number!" He announced.

Naruto suddenly had a moment of realisation.

"EXAM!! WE HAVE A TEST!!" He shouted his soul floated out of him.

The other Genins could only look at team 7 with pity for having such a dumbass on their team.

Once everyone was seated Zeref searched for his teams Chakra signatures.

Zeref was in the middle row.

Mika was three rows behined.

Katsu was two rows in front to the left.

"Now before we begin I have some rules to establish, and No questions!" He shouted drawing everyone's attention to him.

As Ibiki drilled on the rules Zeref took a moment to look at the Chunins on the sidelines. When he caught eye contact with one they gave him a smirk  to which Zeref narrowed his eyes.

"BEGIN!" Ibiki's voice cut through.

Zeref looked at the questions. Non of these could be answered by a Genin, no doubt.

For a while Zeref heard silence but two specifically started writing straight away.

'Let me think this through. 10 questions 1 which will be given later. 10 points which count towards your team points. If anyone gets 0 its instant failure. If you get caught cheating 5 times also failure..... why give 5 chances.... oh' Zeref's mind worked as the answer finally came to him

"To cheat huh?" Zeref whispered to himself, he could only hope his team would get it.

With a hidden smirk, Zeref used his hair to cover his eyes and copied he movement of the 'Genin' a row infront.

Once he was finished Zeref closed his eyes to have a feel around.

Mika was using a Genjutsu to fool the Chunins to get the answer.

Katsu was pretending to be fiddling with his sword, while he was actually using it to look at the reflection of a mirror on the roof to get answers.

Sasuke was also using his Sharingan.

Ino used her clan Jutsu to use Sakura.

Sakura solved it on her owmn.

Shikamaru used his Clans Jutsu to make Choji copy him as he wrote the answers down.

Kankuro used his puppet to leave.

Gaara had a sand eye floating over Zeref's page.

Others were using different techniques to cheat while others were being called out and disqualified.

One even tried to put up a fight, but that got shut down instantly.

Naruto however was freaking out in the front row. Zeref spotted Hinata trying to show him her answers, but Naruto being the Naive idiot he is, didn't realise the meaning behind the exam and declined.

The clock ticked and more teams were being kicked out left and right.

"15 Minutes left, get ready for the Final question!" He shouted.

Right as he announced that Kankuro came back in, with an awkward look and handed a piece of paper to Temari.

"Before I tell you the last question there are a few more rules that go with this question." Ibiki announced.

"The first is any who choose not to take this question will loose all their points and be immediately disqualified along with their team." He announced.

This caused an uproar.

"So what if we do take the question then!" Temari stated.

"If you take the question and fail to get it correct, you will be banned from ever taking the Chunin exams ever again!" Ibiki shouted.

Pure chaos was what this resulted.

"That's not fair! There are plenty of people here who have taken the exam before!!" Kiba shouted.

"Well it's unlucky that you got me as a Proctor this year then isn't it" Ibiki stated.

"That's not right!" Sakura shouted.

"ENOUGH! Make your choice, those who do not wish to take the question raise your hand" Ibiki announced.

Silence.

Zeref looked back at Mika who had determination on her face, he looked to Katsu who gave Zeref a smirk.

Zeref was fine and so was his team so he relaxed, but didn't let his guard down.

The clock ticked by, a minute had to have passed before the first shaky hand was raised.

"I'm sorry guys.. I just can't do it" he announced his head faced down in shame.

With that him and his two team mates were told to leave.

The first hand caused a chain reaction and soon one after the other teams were leaving.

Some were calm about it, others not so much.

Zeref then spotted Sakura about to raise her hand while looking at Naruto with pity.

'Is she going to quit thinking that it's for Naruto?' Zeref though slight rage filled him at the thought of that, who gave her the right to decide on others behalf.

Bang!

A loud noise cut Zeref's thoughts he saw Naruto Standing with a determined look on his face.

"No Way, I'm not giving up! You think you can make me Quit well you wrong, I don't give up and I don't go back on my word, that's my Nindo way! I'll become Hokage even if I never reach Chunin and nothings gonna stop me! Belive It!" Naruto announced.

His speech made all those remaining determined to pass.

"Are you sure?" Ibiki checked.

"Yeah, I'm Not going anywhere!" Naruto shouted sitting down in a huff.

"Well then if there are no more ready to leave then let me just say....." he started

Everyone was on the edge of their seats prepared for any question that might come.

"You Pass!" Ibiki shouted

Everyone was silent for a while before the mans words finally clicked.

"Huh!?" The room shouted in shock.

Zeref and Gaara looked ready to leave. Everyone else wanted answers.

As Ibiki was explaining some Kunai smashed through the window and held up a banner.

Not long after a woman with purple hair and revealing clothes came in.

"I'm Anko and I'm the Proctor for the Second Chunin Exam test!!" She shouted.

Zeref gave a hefty sigh, he really just wanted to fight Gaara and sleep is that too much to ask for.

Ok so with the recent Race war going on and with the death of George Floyd I would like to give a quick announcement.

As a black person I do not stand for the unnecessary police brutality that was enforced, and for the fact the for killing a man all these police men got was a simple slap on the wrist and got fired.

THIS IS FUCKERY!!

And now people are noticing the blatant racism we will not stand for it.

I would also like to say that Shit like this...

WILL NOT BE TOLERATED!!!

A man died and people treat it like a joke, anyone who is on the police side with this can fuck off Right now.

I also hope that alot of you participated in the blackout Tuesday and hope that many more of you will agree when I say.

Black lives matter.

But also because black people aren't the only ones who suffer with racism.

All lives matter.

I wanted to make sure you all knew where I stood with the race war going on.

Now I'm British so I we don't have this much danger, BUT...

If you are participating in the protests, I beg of you to be careful, the police are allowed to open fire with rubber bullets, and pin down anyone who turns 'Violent'.
