Epilogue

03:16, 24 March 2021

Authors note, please read :)

okay, let's do this. I've decided to post one last chapter of this story, seeing as that was highly requested. I will talk more about my reasoning for this at the end of this chapter, so you don't have to scroll through some random Wattpad user talking about their life, haha.

oh, and btw, I would recommend listening to "Lvr boy" by Awfultune while reading this. ofc you don't have to, but this chapter was lowkey inspired by that song.

Edit; I know nothing about the drama with Awfultune, or what happened. Sorry :/

TW: Extreme fluff :]

3rd person pov

Denki woke up in those familiar warm arms. caging around him, almost as if he were to let go, the entire world would collapse. what could he say? Shinsou was a sleep-hugger.

Not that he would complain about that, not under any circumstances. The purple-haired man was warm, very warm. In some situations, even too warm, Denki would recall. Especially on humid summer nights, or when he found himself overdressed.

at those times, even a simple hug would send blistering heat through the blonde, enough to melt him if he wasn't careful.

Hands-on his waist, breath tickling in the back of his neck, legs tangled together, no school, Denki was in paradise. A euphoric feeling bubbling inside of him, practically ready to burst at any second.

He loved this man, no doubt about it. With everything they've been through, late movie nights, study dates, almost breaking up, crying, cuddling, kissing, which, when Denki thought about it isn't that much compared to many others, yet he still treasures all of these moments dearly.

yes, there is still a lot the future might bring, and he hopes, he wishes that, against all odds and obstacles that may come in their way, Denki prays he can spend all that time hand in hand with the love of his life, with his Shinsou.

popping his bubble of thoughts, Denki felt light butterfly kisses being propped all over his neck.

"Good morning to you too, sir" Denki giggled and turned around, facing the bigger male.

"Morning, love," Shinsou mumbled against Denki's neck. Chuckling at the pet-name, Denki wrapped his hands around Shinsou's neck, pulling him up to eye level. Noses touching and stroking each other's cheeks, Shinsou brought their lips together in, a sweet, adoring kiss, filled with passion and love.

Denki pulled away, looking at the other with soft eyes and a dopey smile.

"your breath tastes awful," Shinsou said in a husky voice, still being drowned with sleep.

"you don't taste so good yourself," Denki said, laughing tenderly.

Shinsou pulled the blonde into a tight embrace.

"I love you Denki, you know that right?" Shinsou said in almost a whisper against the other's neck.

"I know," Denki said weakly.

"I love you too, so, so much"

The smell of nature filled Shinsou's nose, the fresh outdoors, as some may call it.

It was cold, cold enough for hot steam to evaporate when either of the two boys breathed. Tightening the grip around his boyfriend's hand, Shinsou smiled softly as Denki rambled about anything he could think of.

From things he had done with the Baku-squad or drama, he had overheard while walking to class once. Denki talked for the both of them, people had said. Keeping the conversation going from both ends of the party.

Some might find that odd or strange, but neither of the males seemed to be bothered by this, Shinsou found it rather calming for a fact. Not having to always contribute to the conversation, yet fully being a part of it.

It eased his anxiety, made him feel safe, and at home.

They continued to walk like this, sheepishly wandering through a park with no defined destination to reach. Just the two of them, enjoying the moment in each other's presence.

It was like a pleasant dream, honestly. Or one of those cliché movie scenes you only see in sappy Hollywood films, or something that was taken straight out of the most generic Wattpad story.

ironic, really.

But still, it felt special. something that was only theirs. Only for them to enjoy, and devour.

Love isn't always easy, love isn't something to toy around with, and love doesn't always do what said individual wants, let alone need. Love doesn't always come meet one halfway.                          Though it's more of a complex thing that has to be worked on and earned. Not forcefully brought upon people, and shoved in their faces.

That might be why this felt so special, so right. they had found each other, known each other, and loved each other. They love each other. That's the keyword to all of this. Love.

Lovelovelovelove.

And that's what matters, at the moment, they love each other. they want each other. They own each other's hearts like no one else did. Like no one else could.

Right now, at least.

Shinsou closed his eyes, only for a brief moment, letting the blond guide him through the path. Calming his heartbeat, and listening to lover talk so passionately.

His lover. His lover boy.

Shinsou could get used to calling him that. It had a nice ring to it.

Something in the far distance illuminated a soft color, Attracting, and pulling the purple-haired male towards it.

"Hey Denki," Shinsou said, Turning his face towards the other.

Denki hummed in response and met his glare.

"You hungry?" He asked, gesturing to the small Café lying ahead of them.

Denki's face lit up, and a huge smile plastered his face.

Shinsou chuckled.

"I'll take that as a yes then."

The café was small, with a cottage-core aesthetic to it.

Small booths, lined carefully with soft, almost silk-like material. Light bulbs hanging from the wood plank roof, glowing puny specks of washed-out yellow light.

Books shelves and plants, music playing from a radio, and the smell of newly baked bread. It was perfect.

Not too much, and not too simple.

"When did this place even open? I don't remember it ever being here," Denki questioned as he slipped into one of the booths.

Shinsou, who followed behind closely only shrugged.

It really didn't matter to him. Very few things did if one were to analyze, but he wanted to enjoy himself and his boyfriend at this moment.

And not overthinking every aspect of life.

They got handed the menu by a waitress, who looked to be around their age, maybe a year or two older. She wore a soft colored pink blouse with jeans and an apron.

"Just call me over when you know what you boys want," she said with a smile. It was obvious that she loved her job.

Denki and Shinsou nodded, fixing their glare towards the menu, It was neatly organized, making it even more perfect, Shinsou thought.

Yet, the bigger male found it hard to concentrate on the menu. His eyes kept gluing onto the blond in front of him.

"What?" Denki giggled after a while. A soft blush formed on Shinsou's cheeks when Denki caught him staring.

"Nothing," He said shortly, mumbling into his jacket.

"Your just pretty to look at," Shinsou said quietly It could've been easy to miss, but Denki heard it.

~

When they got their food and began eating. The cafe was fairly quiet, but to be fair, there were only about three other groups of people. An old couple and a group of four pre-teens, which, all of them were reading their own book in peace. Other than that, it was only them.

Denki's mumbling quickly died down as the food got served. Munching up as much as his mouth could hold at once. Shinsou chuckled lightly at his boyfriend, seeing him stuffing his face with food.

They finished eating, and Shinsou paid for the food, like the gentleman he is. Denki always said he could pay, or even split the bill, but he would be lying if he said he didn't like being spoiled by Shinsou.

As they walked, the two fell into a comfortable silence.

Only the two of them walking while the sun was setting.

Shinsou pressed his lips together, squinting his eyes, and grabbed a hold of Denki's hand, leading him to an unknown location.

"Where are you taking me?" Denki asked, the words came out as a soft coo, while he lilted his head slightly.

Shinsou turned his back and smiled, "Stop asking so many questions, just follow me," he said while letting out a small chuckle.

The blond rolled his eyes but did what Shinsou said.

The path led them slightly uphill, both sides covered by vast trees. They walked for a few short minutes, hand in hand, fingers interlocked together.

In far sight, Denki saw something. Something that was only lit by the moonlight. His whole face was morphing into a soft smile, the heat was bubbling inside of him, racing to his cheeks and hands.

The place, you see, was a bench. It wasn't just any particular bench either. It was the one placed highest up, with a view of the whole city. Lights flashing beautifully with yellow, green, red, and purple. With stars and an almost pitch-black sky as an added effect.

"Woah," Denki gasped, awed by the sight.

"Do you like it?" Shinsou asked, in a soft manner, tilting his head and smiling warmly.

"Shinsou, 'like' is an underestimate," Denki said, swaying his hands for added drama.

"holy cow," The blonde added, almost in a whisper.

The two sat down and gazed upon the sight before them.

"I love it," Denki said, head falling against the others shoulder, "It's beautiful,"

"you're beautiful," Shinsou said back.

"Oh my gosh, you're so sappy," Denki said, giggling and pressing his face against Shinsou's shoulder.

"Mmh," The other hummed, letting his head rest on Denki's.

"I love you," Denki said, lifting his head and looking at Shinsou.

"I love you so, so much," Denki furrowed his brows, and pressing his lips together in a thin line.

Shinsou laughed at his boyfriend's expression,

"I love you too, Denki" He smiled, Leaning forward, and pressed a firm kiss on the blonde's lips.

And nothings going to change that.

A/N:

aah and that's a wrap :]

I did struggle to get through this chapter, but I pulled through after a few months lmao.

hope you guys enjoyed it! This was the first ever story that I actually posted, so I do hold it close to heart, (even if it's not my finest work) and it defiantly won't be my last, seeing as I really enjoy writing :]

The reason I suddenly stopped writing this is because of an encounter I had with another fan from this fandom hah, I won't go into detail, but they said some pretty terrible stuff, so I needed a break from this fandom.

I probably won't make more fanfics from this fandom, but I'll write some stuff here and there when I find characters I like, or I come up with good story ideas.

Also, feel free to dm me about anything! either it be about fanfics, or just wanting someone to talk to :]

Thanks for all the votes and followers, It really does mean a lot to me, and if you guys want to see more of my writing, I plan to post on Ao3! my user is Diego_Z

Again, thanks, hope you have an amazing day/night :]
