chapter 6

No pov

Denki closed the door and went back to Mina. "you're seriously pissed at him aren't you?" She said before grabbing her pc. Denki nodded. "wanna watch a movie, to get your mind off things?" Mina asked giving Denki a reassuring smile.

Denki sat closer to Mina as they put on Finding Nemo.

When the movie ended Denki was visibly in a better mood. They talked and laughed. They decided to invite over Kirishima, Bakugou, and Sero. The rest of the group soon came and they had a great time.

Denki didn't want to be alone in his dorm, so he stayed with Kirishima.

Denki decided to tell Kirishima what happened earlier that day. Kirishima too thought it was not like Shinsou to do that. He loves you too much. 

That was the second time someone had told him that. Denki's thoughts began to get all over the place.

"your friends know best"  "He doesn't love you, he cheated on you"  "but he said it was her fault"  "they kissed long enough for Mineta to take a pic"  "but he also gave you a lot of space afterward"  "he does not love you!"  " he loves you!"

Denki was getting unsure again. Denki thought about having to see him the next day. they literally sit next to each other. Denki considered talking with him that night but he didn't want to do that just yet.

Kirishima was fast asleep but Denki was having some troubles. It was that annoying feeling where he was tired but couldn't sleep. That lonely feeling. yes, Kirishima was right beside him and all that but it just wasn't the same as Shinsou. There was just something special about him.

Denki sat up and sighed. 

A few days had gone by and Denki had tried his best to ignore Shinsou. Trying not to make direct eye-contact and avoid him in the hallways.

So many times he almost called out his name during lunch or asking him for the answers in class. It was almost impossible avoiding Shinsou. it was getting unbearable.

Denki's pov

I was in a dark room, I couldn't see anything except for what looked to be a silhouette. Everything was silent not a single sound except for my breath which was becoming heavier and heavier.

I took a step forward but it felt like I was being dragged even further back. whispers. faint whispers all around me. I tried to run toward to the silhouette but I was just being dragged even further back.

The silhouette looked up. as if it was looking at the sky. I tried to scream for help but my voice wouldn't break through the whispers.

I vision was becoming blurry. It felt like my head was going to explode. It felt like I was drowning, I couldn't breathe. Like my lungs were filling up with water. The silhouette looked back at me and a white tear rolled down its face.  It felt like time stopped. My hand was shaking, what the hell is this?

This all seemed so...familliar. Something about the silhouette and the feeling of lungs filling my water. I reached out my hand and it wasn't being dragged back. My movements were so gentle and soft. My fingertips almost touched the shoulder of this thing, right before my hand landed on its back it tensed up and began whispering. "it wasn't my fault."  " Why won't you listen to me"  over and over again.

The whispering became talking, to almost shouting, to screaming its lungs out. My whole body was shaking with fear. I decided to try and touch it.

When my hand reached its shoulder it became completely silent. The silhouette turned its head and started laughing. Laughing like a sociopath. Right before turning around and grabbing my throat with all its strength.

My vision became black.

I jolted up from my bed in a cold sweat. I looked around my room. Almost completely black. only a glimpse of moonlight shining through the curtains.

Shinsou's pov

00.01 am. Still no sign of Denki. It has almost been a week. Why can't he just listen to me? It wasn't my fault. I was starting to get a bit annoyed. I have to try and sleep.

03.11 am. Why can't I sleep? I feel tired but right before I fall asleep it's like something is telling me to stay awake.

I bury my head in my pillows and groan. But then I hear 3 faint knocks on my door. I sit up right away and almost run over to my door, hoping it was Denki. And then I open the door.

In front of me stood a messy blonde-haired boy, clenching his arm and hoodie. His eyes were locked on the floor, not wanting to look at me. He was wearing a big hoodie that went down to his knees. And some dark grey sweat-pants.

He sighed and clenched his arm harder. "Denki," I say so quietly I'm not even sure if he even heard me. "c-can I stay here tonight, I can't sleep." He asked in a quiet soft but shaky voice.

It took me a few seconds before answering him "of course Denki-" before I could finish my sentence he jolted into my arms and hugged me tightly. Damn, I really, really missed his hugs.

"Does this mean you forgive me?" I ask him, wrapping my arms around him. "maybe" he says.

We made our way over to my bed and lay down. He laid almost on top of my chest, burying his face in my neck and his arms around me. "I missed your cuddles," I say softly kissing his forehead.

He placed gentle kisses on my neck in response. I just wanted to stay up all night enjoying his warm embrace. But I soon found my eyes feeling heavy. Slowly drifting to sleep.

The next day, no pov

Denki slowly opened his eyes, smelling a familiar scent. Shinsou. "Right, I came over last night" Denki though. He never wanted to avoid or ignore Shinsou in the first place, but he just couldn't get over the fact that his boyfriend maybe cheated on him.

every day he felt more and more alone, more lonely. And that night it just had been too much for him.

He looked up at his boyfriend who was sleeping peacefully. Denki just wanted to lay in Shinsou's arms all day, since it was Saturday morning nothing was stopping him but he still wasn't sure if he fully forgave Shinsou just yet.

So, he just wanted to have this moment before Shinsou woke up. Just him laying in his lover's arms. After about 5 minutes Shinsou opened his eyes. the sunlight hitting his indigo colored eyes.

Shinsou looked down at Denki. "good morning" The bigger male said pulling Denki closer to him. "good morning" Denki replied feeling a small smile grow on his face. "you been awake long?" Shinsou asked while yawning. "Only for a few minutes."

Shinsou sat up only to be pulled back down by Denki. "can't we just lay here for a few more minutes?" The blonde asked cuddling closer to the purple-haired male. Of course, Shinsou wasn't about to complain.

So he simply hummed "umhm" and but his arms around Denki tangled their legs together and started to play with his hair, that soft blonde hair.

none of them said a single word, leaving them both in silence. not an awkward one rather a comforting one. Just having the other close was the best feeling in the world. Denki thought about the things Mineta said, and he thought about the things Mina and Kirishima had said.

Who should he believe, he would always choose his friends but Mineta had a picture. Denki didn't want to ruin the mood but he needed to actually talk with shinsou about it.

"shin?" The blonde asked looking anywhere else than at his boyfriend. "yeah baby" the purple-haired male answered already knowing what was coming next. A few seconds of silence before Denki spoke up, " it was Mineta...who sent the picture." Shinsou looked a little surprised.

"but... i-is it true?" Denki asked, his voice become very faint and shaky. Shinsou took Denki's chin and looked him directly in his eyes "Denki Kaminari, I would never cheat on you in my entire life" Denki's eyes began to tear up. "w-what wrong baby" Shinsou asked in a concerned voice.

Shinsou cupped Denki's face with his hands and stroke his face. " I-I was just so s-scared that it might have been true" Denki gave Shinsou that soft smile that he loved so very much.

Shinsou pulled Denki into a hug and kissed his head, "Nothing in this entire life can separate me from you"  "nothing in this entire world, I won't let that happen."
