Chapter 4

"Nyeh... Auggie..." Winnie whined in his sleep.

"NyEeEh! AuGgIe!" I mocked him. He slowly woke up. "Auggie... you're so mean!"

"Sorry, honey." Winnie pouted and put his head on my lap. "Anyways, I wanna show you around campus. I have some friends who you'd love!"

"I do *not* want to meet your friends." I tucked him back in and kissed his forehead.

He whined at me. "Pleeeeeaaaaaaseeee, babe?" I sighed and started to nod slowly.

"Fine. But not over 2 at a time, okay?" Winnie nodded. "I was only planning for you to meet one!"

He started to giggle excitedly, whipping out his phone to text his friends. "Hey. I take it back. Just the one, please."

Winnie pouted and looked up at me. "Plea-"

"No."

He pouted more but just texted one person to meet us at a café near campus.

An hour later, Winnie took me to the café and led me to a table where a goth-looking girl sat.

She wore a lolita-style dress with a corset, black makeup, her long black hair draped over her shoulders, and her bangs covering one eye.

"Hey." The girl said calmly, turning to Winnie. "This is that boy you've been obsessed with, right?" She patted his shoulder.

"U-uh, yeah!" Winnie stammered. "I'm Cecilia, but Winnie likes to call me Cece." She reached out to shake my hand, but I stuck my fist out for a fist bump.

Cecilia matched my fist and we fist-bumped. "You're Augustine, right?" She leaned back in her seat. "Yeah."

"Winnie. Go get us coffee." Cecilia demanded, somehow not aggressively. "Yeah, sure!" He skipped off to get us drinks.

"Sorry for ordering him around." She chuckled a bit. "That's fine. I do the same thing." Cecilia raised an eyebrow. "Yeah? Wow, I'm gonna get along with you. You seem chill."

Winnie came back and handed us our coffees. "Here you go!" He handed Cecilia's to her and did the same for me but with a kiss on the cheek.

"Give me your phone." Cecilia snatched my phone and entered her number into it. "Here you are." She handed it back to me.

"Cool," I said. "It's nice to know one of Winnie's friends for once."

After a few more minutes, Winnie and I left to go back to the dorm. "Home sweet home!" He said, unlocking the dorm room's door.

"Auggie, do you wanna take a shower together?" He asked, grabbing a towel with his hand on another one. "Um... yeah, as long as you don't pull anything."

"No promises!"
