Chapter 13 // Nekoma

Kuroo was shocked and confused when Kenma slapped him and asked him. "Wha-what do you mean?" When Kuroo asked the question, Kenma show the picture that Fukunaga sent to him. "We just meet them at the mall, what's with that?" Kuroo is still confused. "What did you say about us?" "What do you mean 'us'?" "Did you tell them that we have a relationship?!" Kenma asked it shouting. "...k-kinda..."

Despite of their height difference, Kenma grab Kuroo shirt. "Do you know what are they going to do with Shoyo?" "I-I don't know..." Kuroo stuttered because of the nervousness. "They are going to kick out Shoyo!" Kuroo was shocked on what he heard. "Wha-why?" He asked. Kenma released him and answered. "They have 'No Relationship Policy'." Kenma starts to cry while Kuroo was just frozed up.

"I'm... Sorry, I didn't know..." "No. Don't apologize to me. Just remember this Kuroo, if Shoyo is really going to be kick out, forget that we've become friends." Kuroo was shocked on what Kenma said. Kenma is heading back to his house wiping his tears. Kuroo, just sit on his position. "Great ... First you can't get him. Second he's going to forget you. AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!" Kuroo starts to cry.

-Time Skip-

Kuroo is going to Kenma's house bringing an apple pie. He wants to apologize to Kenma. When he was there, Kenma's mom said that Kenma is not there so he just give the apple pie. The truth is, Kenma is just in his room. He told his mom that if Kuroo is going to their house, just say that he leaves. Surprisingly, it works.

When Kuroo leave, Kenma's mother went straight to Kenma's room. She knocks the door first before she open it. She saw his son on his usual position: laying on his bed playing his game. "Kenma! Kuroo bring an apple pie!! It's your favorite isn't it?" She said. "Don't want it." Kenma said without looking to his mother. His mother sit on his bed and put the apple pie on his lap. "Let's talk Kenma." This time, Kenma paused his game.

"Are you sure about ignoring him? I mean, you're childhood friends, and you were together since you're younger." "Mom, he's responsible why Shoyo is going to expelled on his team. Volleyball is the only one can make him happy, but now, he can't do it." "I know that. But honestly speaking, comparing Shoyo-kun and Kuroo, You've been with Kuroo since then, he knows you a lot more than anyone. And Shoyo-kun, how many times you've met? 2 or 3? Plus Your training camp. But are you sure that he knows you?"

"Mom, I'm showing myself everywhere I go. And I know Shoyo knows me enough just like I know him." Kenma's mother hold Kenma's one hand. "Okay. If you say so. But how Kuroo is involved with this incident?" Kenma show the picture. "The other 3 are Shoyo's senpai. Kuroo told them about our relationship. But their team has a 'No Relationship Policy'. If Kuroo just don't told them, I will not going to abandoned our friendship. But he's the one who's responsible for it. Shoyo is my first love, I don't want him to see sad." Without any words, Kenma's mother hugged him and he start to cry.

Monday has come that means everything is back to normal, except that Kuroo and Kenma is not walking together now. It's hard for them to this but they know why they are doing that. Kenma is the first one who arrived on their clubroom, literally. He doesn't have the keys so he waits the other to come.

They're starting their practice but the atmosphere around it is kinda different, and Yaku notice it, so he decided to tell it to Kai. "I think something is odd..." "I don't feel anything's odd." Kai answered." "There's definitely wrong here. But I can tell what is it." "Maybe you just hungry?" Timingly, he's stomach makes sound of hunger. "Oh maybe you're right? Hehehe."

A while later, their coach decided to have a 5v5 match and Kuroo and Kenma are on the same team. Normally, they're the ones who's going to win if they're together. But not this time. They're not synchronized at all, and sometimes, he's not even tossed the ball to Kuroo. And it their coaches noticed it.

"Kenma, Kuroo, what happened to the both of you? You are not synchronized at all." "I'm sorry. I'm not feeling well, can I go to the infirmary." Kenma excused which he's coach approved to. "Sorry, I'm just thinking some things lately. Sorry if I mess up." Apologized by Kuroo. "It's fine. But make sure to focus on the play, okay?" He just nod.

"That's it for this morning. Clean this now so you can go to your classes. And Kuroo, check Kenma. Okay?" "Yes sir!" Everyone shouted. As their coach leaves the gym, Kuroo approach Yaku. "Yakkun, can you check Kenma for me? We're not on a good state..." He said.

"Are you making a distance?"
