Chapter Nine - The Dance

-SILLES POV-

We walk into the cozy looking bakery and an amazing smell hits my nose. Oh my God, this smell is good.

When we close the door behind us a lovely lady stands behind the counter. She talks to Peeta and a few moments later a super good looking boy walks out of the office.

His hair is light brown and shiny. He has the same ocean blue eyes as Peeta and their mom and his jaw is perfectly defined. Oh God, boy you're so hot. Wait what?

"Hi, my name is Grayn, what's yours?" He asks after he talked to the rest. His low and manly voice make my insides scream.

"My name is Sille," I say, trying to sound calm.

He smiles and it shows his white teeth. Dang.

"How long have you lived here? I haven't seen you before," he says.

"I'm new, I just moved here from District 3," I reply.

"Okay, that explains a lot. How old are you then?" He asks.

"I'm sixteen, and you?" I ask.

"I'm eighteen," he replies.

We continue to talk and I get to know him a lot better.

After a while he asks me something I never expected.

"Are you going to the dance? I am, maybe you would like to go with me?" He says, a shyly smile revealing.

"Yeah, of course I would like to go with you!" I reply, enthusiasm all over the place.

"Good! I'll pick you up at eight, if that's fine," he says.

"That's cool!" I say.

He hands me a cheese bun and a cup of coffee. He gives the others the same.

When I look to my right I see Katniss looking with an asking look on her face. I give her a reassuring smile and we hang around in the bakery for the rest of free time.

When free time is over, me and the rest thank Peeta's brother and mother and Grayn smiles at me. God he's cute.

Me and Katniss walk together after the rest of the group.

"What was that with you and Grayn? I saw you blushing," she says, teasing.

Damn it. Now I have to blush again.

"Nothing," I say, trying to sound convincing. It isn't successful though.

"Don't lie! I know you like him!" She teases, with a big grin plastered on her face.

I'm screwed.

"Okay, okay! I like him! He even asked me to go to the dance with him! He's way too hot for me!" I say, completely busted. I'm such a bad liar.

"Seeeeee! I knew it! Oh my God, you're SOOO gonna be together! Even if I have to bring you two together, it'll happen! Yes! I'm so happy for you!" She squeals.

"God, Katniss! Calm down! I'm sure he doesn't like me back. I mean, he's way to hot for me!" I reply.

"I'm sure he likes you too! And he asked you to the dance? That's amazing! You have to get ready with me, Annie and Johanna! Johanna is a pretty good makeup artist, and Annie will do your hair. Be at my place around 2 o'clock, okay?" She asks, very excited.

I nod and we continue to walk to school. She continues rattling about me and my "bae" but I don't listen. When we are almost at school, she screams something dumb.

"Oh my gosh! I made the perfect ship name for you two! What do think of 'Graylle'? I LOVE IT! It's so perfect!" She screams. Oh no. Just no.

"Cool." I say, shortly.

She continues to talk about Grayn and me. More like squeals. But I don't listen anymore.

We reach school and continue our school day. Well, I continue it pretty much dreaming of Grayn.

~DAY OF THE DANCE~

I wake up at 12.33 PM. Shit, I overslept way too long.

I quickly hop in my shower and dry myself off after I finished the showering. I put on some sweatpants and a sweater because for September, it's still pretty cold.

I eat a quick breakfast and brush my teeth.

When I'm finished with getting ready for the day, I put my dress and shoes in a bag along with all the accessories.

I grab my phone and see its 1.42 PM. Time to go.

I arrive at Katniss' house about ten minutes later. I ring the door bell and Katniss opens it. She's also wearing clothes similar to mine.

"Hey Sille! You're early! The others aren't there yet, come in," she says kindly.

"Thank you," I say, smiling softly.

I walk inside and take my shoes and jacket off.

"My mother and sister are in the kitchen, would you like to meet them? We can grab a drink then too," she asks.

"Yeah, sure," I reply, smiling.

We walk into her kitchen and her little sister is sitting at the table, eating ice cream and playing games on her phone. She looks up and smiles sweet.

Her mother is cooking a lamb stew, I can tell from the smell. She turns around and smiles kindly.

"Hey dear, is this Sille?" She asks Katniss.

"Yes, she moved here from District 3," she replies.

"My name is Sille, nice to meet you ma'am," I say, shaking her hand.

"Oh, just call me Judith, hunny," she says kindly. What a sweet person.

"And this is little Primrose," Katniss teases her little sister.

"Just call me Prim, and I'm already fourteen Katniss!" She giggles.

"Yeah sure, Prim. Alright, Sille and I are gonna go to my room now, can we take some tea with us?" Katniss asks.

"I'll make some for you guys, I'll bring it in a second," her mother says.

Katniss nods and we walk to her room.

She opens the door and its breathtaking.

The walls are painted like a forest, it's almost like a picture. Her entire furniture is themed on the forest theme, and it has a calming effect.

"Wow, Katniss! This is awesome!" I say, completely stunned.

"Thank you! Peeta's father painted this," she says and she sits down on her bed. I take a seat next to her and then the bell rings.

"The others are here! Can you put on some music? We'll be back in a sec," she says.

I nod and Katniss leaves. I put on her radio and just when a good song comes on, the others walk in.

"Yus! This is my JAM!" Johanna yells.

We giggle and dance for a minute when someone knocks on the door. Annie opens the door and Katniss' mom puts a plate on Katniss' desk. The plate consists of a few cups and a tea can. There are some cookies on it, too.

We drink a cup of tea and then it's 2.27 PM.

"Time to get ready!" Johanna screams.

"Katniss, I'll do your hair," Annie says.

Katniss nods.

"Sille, I'll do your makeup," Johanna says.

"That's fine," I answer.

She starts and after 30 minutes I'm done.

Wow, Johanna really is a great makeup artist.

"Wow, it looks amazing, Johanna! Your such a great makeup artist!" I say.

"Well, thank you," she answers, smiling.

"Annie, would you like to do my hair in an updo?" I ask.

"Sure!" She answers.

After 3 hours, everyone is finally done. We get dressed and the others look amazing.(See pic shown above for the outfits)

Everybody gives each other compliments and we go to the kitchen so eat something, because Katniss is 'starving' as she likes to call it.

Prim and Judith are sitting in the living room and we show them our looks. We get a lot of compliments and then we continue our way to the kitchen and grab some food.

After we ate we brush our teeth and touch our makeup up. I gotta say, we really look amazing.

When we're done its 7.44 PM. Grayn is coming in 16 minutes. Oh my God! Now I'm really getting nervous.

We talk for the rest of the minutes and then we hear a bell ringing. Oh shit, he's here.

"The boys are here! Yay!" The others squeal in excitement. We basically run off the stairs and Annie opens the door. Annie's date Finnick, Johanna's date Josh, Katniss' date Peeta and my date, Grayn are standing on the doorsteps.

They are all wearing a black V-neckline T-shirt with some jeans.

Grayn looks incredibly handsome.

"Well, thank you, you look amazing too," Grayn chuckles.

Did I just say that out loud?

"Yes, you did, now come on, let's PARTY!" Johanna answers.

My head turns into fifty shades of red. Geez, that was literally the definition of embarrassment.

We walk outside and every girl goes in the car of their date. Peeta used their other brother's car.

Grayn opens the door for me and gets into the drivers seat. He starts the car.

"You look very pretty tonight," he sweetly says.

"Thank you," I say, blushing."You really do look incredibly handsome," I reply, chuckling a little.

"Thank you," he chuckles.

We continue the rest of the short car drive talking.

He parks the car and opens the door for me again.

"My lovely date," he says, helping me getting out the car.

"Thank you, my handsome date," I reply, surprised by my own confidence.

I take his arm and we soon join the rest.

We walk inside and find some classmates.

Everybody is dressed up nice but Madge totally looks like a whore. Her short, black dress has cutouts under her breasts, in between her breasts and on the sides of her breasts. Oh my God, why?

We begin to dance and after a while of dancing a slow song comes on.

"Would you like to take this dance with me?" Grayn asks me.

"Of course," I answer.

I take his hand and we walk to the dance floor. He puts his hands on my waist and I put my arms around his neck.

"I don't know if I said this already, but you really look beautiful," he says.

"Thank you, I don't know if I said this already, but you really look incredibly handsome," I answer, smiling and blushing.

He chuckles and thanks me. I place my head on his shoulder and I see Katniss kissing Peeta while dancing.

"I guess Peeta and Katniss are a thing now," I say.

"My little brother is growing up," Grayn answers.

I laugh.

I spot Johanna dancing with Josh, in the exact same pose as me and Grayn.

"Johanna and Josh too," I laugh. Grayn laughs too. He's so sweet.

I take my head off of his shoulder and look into his deep, blue eyes.

"I love your eyes," I say.

"Thank you, but your eyes are prettier," he says, smiling.

"No, they're not," I answer, chuckling.

"You just are very pretty," he says. I blush again.

And before I realize it, his lips are inches away from mine.
