duncans pov:

i walk through the woods kicking around rocks and leaves. yeah right, eating whatever slob chef is brewing in the back of the kitchen.

i flip my wrist to show my watch. it reads; 1:13. i turn back the way i was walking away from.

'i guess i should be going back now.' i think to myself.

i pass the dock to see bridgette , geoff, and courtney and walk over to them.

'hey.' i lay my elbow on courtney's shoulder. she looks up at me, 'duncan!' she hugs me for a few seconds but backs away slowly, 'where were you?...you scared me.' she finishes and turns to look the other way.

'oh so the princess was worried huh?' i chuckle. 'i was not!' she argued. 'she definitely was.' geoff dabs me up . courtney just scoffs & rolls her eyes.

our principle, mr. mcclain walks in front of us as a huge group of kids walk out of the cafeteria.

'afternoon kids, today we will be studying deer,' almost everyone groans, 'but, to make it more fun, it will be a game.' he split us into 2 groups, the deer and the hunters.

'so, while yall are trying to study the different kinds of deer, you will have to watch out for the hunters.' mr.mcclain hands the kids to the side of my team paintball guns.

he then hands us antlers and a tail. 'i'm not wearing that.' i declared. 'okay, don't, another F in your report card.' mr.mcclain scolded.

i roll my eyes and snatch the accessories out of his hand. i look over to courtney to see she already has her antlers & tail on. 'damn, hot as a deer too.' i whisper to jeff and he laughs.
