Nineteen

Harry's P.O.V

The lads and I just finished the final touches of our single and were getting ready to leave when I got a phone call from Jordyn. I slid the bar on my phone to answer and put the phone up to my ear.

"Hey babe whatsup?" I said.

For a few seconds there was silence. Just as I was about to say something I heard a loud thud. What the hell was that? Is Jordyn okay?

"Harry..." I heard Jordyn whisper from the other line.

"Jordyn?!" I yelled into the phone, but there was no answer.

"Jordyn are you there?" I spoke again.

She didn't answer, so I hung up the phone and ran my hands through my curls.

Oh no somethings wrong! At this point the boys were surrounding me, wondering why I was yelling into the phone.

"Whats wrong mate?" Zayn asked.

"I-It's Jordyn! Something happened to her we need to get home now!" I panicked. I quickly grabbed my stuff and ran out to the car, the boys following right behind me.

"How do you know somethings wrong?" Niall asked.

"She called me but then didn't say anything and all of a sudden I heard a loud thud and she whispered my name and then didn't answer me again!" I said as we all piled into the car.

Liam gasped. "Paul, drive fast!" He said.

The ride home was agonizing; it felt like hours. I was so anxious the whole ride home; bouncing my leg up and down, biting my nails, tugging at my hair. I needed to get to Jordyn.

We finally arrived at our house and I bolted out of the car.

"Liam you check the dance room, Lou check the bathroom, Niall and Zayn check anywhere else, I'll check her room!" I said as I ran inside the house and up the stairs.

I opened Jordyn's door and scanned her room. Oh my god, she's passed out on the floor! I ran over to her and shook her to try to wake her up. 

"Jordyn can you hear me?!" I said in a panic. No answer. I checked her pulse; she still had one, but wasn't waking up.

"LIAM!!!" I cried out in terror. A few seconds later the boys all came rushing in. "Someone call an ambulence!!"

By now tears were falling down my face as I looked at Jordyn's lifeless body. What had happened to her?! I knew I shouldn't have let her stay home by herself!

After a long fifteen minutes, the paramedics finally arrived and put Jordyn in a stretcher and brought her outside and into the ambulence.

"One person can come in the ambulence with us" One of the paramedics said. Everyone looked at me.

"Liam go with her, shes your sister" I said.

"Are you sure?" Liam asked.

"Yes now go!" I pushed him towards the vehicle. "Well meet you there! Lets go boys!" I rushed to the car and into the drivers seat.

"Harry let me drive you can't drive in this state" Louis said. He's right, I can't drive while I'm full on sobbing. I handed him the keys and quickly went into the passenger side.

We arrived at the hospital and Louis pulled up to the main entrance.

"Go Harry well park and meet you in there" Lou said.

I quickly opened the door and ran inside the lobby and went to the main desk.

"Hi Sir can I help yo- oh wow you're Harry Styles my daughter is a huge fan!" The lady said. "Can I have an autograph for my daughter?"

"I don't want to be rude but my girlfriend was just rushed here do you know what room she is in? Her name is Jordyn Payne" I said out of breath.

"Of course, I understand. Hmm let's see..She's currently in room 214, on the second floor. But you may not be able to see her just yet so check with the desk on the second floor" The woman said.

"Thank you very much" I said while running towards the elevator. "I'll be back later for the autograph!" I yelled, before hoping on the elevator. I pushed the button to make the doors close a million times, in hopes that it would close faster. It finally closed, and the elevator started to move.

Luckily I only had to go up one floor so I was on the second floor in no time. Room 214...where is that? I looked on the directory and headed down the hall to the right and saw Liam sitting on a chair in the hallway.

"Is she okay?" I ran up to Liam.

"Yeah she's alright. The doctor came out and talked to me just a few minutes ago. He said that she passed out because she had no food in her stomach and her body was too weak. They put her on an IV to get some liquid in her system, and now their slowly giving her food to see if she can hold it down, thats why we can't go in right now. The doctor said we can see her in about 20 minutes, but she will be really tired" Liam said.

"I knew it. I knew something was wrong Liam! And I didn't stop it!" I threw myself onto the chair next to Liam and put my head in my hands.

"What do you mean?" Liam asked me, rubbing my back.

I lifted my head from my hands and looked at the wall in front of me. "She's been starving herself! Ever since that fan called her fat she hasn't been the same. I can't be the only one who noticed that she was getting skinnier and paler, and she wouldn't eat in front of us, ever. It all started that day where we were playing Mario Kart and you offered to make her breakfast, and she said no. Ever since then she always said she wasn't hungry, or ate earlier before" I said, letting out a huge sigh.

"I noticed too, but I figured it was because she said she was sick. Now it all makes sense..." Liam sat back in his chair and stared into space, realizing what was going on.

"It's all my fault Liam! I asked her everyday if she was okay and she said she was, I should have done something to help her! I'm letting you down Li! I promised I would do everything I could to help her, and to make her happy, and I failed you Liam! I failed.." I was now sobbing into my hands.

"Harry you didn't fail me, you had no control over this. We didn't know that Jordyn was doing this there was nothing we could have done. You are doing a great job with Jordyn, better than I expected you to. Have you seen her? She's more outgoing and lively now than I've seen her in her entire life, and thats all because of you Harry, and I can't thank you enough for that. But for right now all we know is that Jordyn is okay, and will be okay" Liam said to me.

Before I had time to respond I heard footsteps trotting down the hallway, running towards us.

"Is Jordyn in there?!"

"Is she going to be okay?!"

"Can we see her?!" 

The boys bombarded us with questions. "Yeah she's in there, and she's going to be okay. She passed out from not having any food in her system. The doctors are trying to get some food in her and then we can go and see her"  Liam said.

"Thank god" Niall said.

"Haz, you alright?" Louis asked. He sat down next to me and put his arm around my shoulder.

"It's my fault, I knew she was starving herself, but I didn't say anything or do anything to make her stop!" I cried.

"Don't blame this on yourself Harry, it's nobody's fault we knew something was wrong but we thought she was just sick. All that matters is that Jordyn is okay" He said.

The door to Jordyn's room opened and the doctor came out. All of our heads snapped up and looked at him.

"You may go see her now" The doctor said.
