Fifteen

Jordyn's P.O.V

I was actually pretty excited to hear the boys at the recording studio. I've never heard them live, so it should be cool.

I got out of the shower and let my hair dry into its natural waves. I walked into my huge closet and chose an outfit to wear for the day; a pinkish colored shirt with a pair of jean shorts. (Picture on side) I put my clothes on and walked back into my room to put my makeup on.

When I was finished, I slipped a gold headband on my head and put on my sandals, and I was ready to go.

"Jordyn! Zayn! Were leaving!" I heard Liam shout from downstairs.

I took one last glance in the mirror before walking out of my door. 

Zayn exited his room the same time I passed his door. He looked at me and gave me a high five. I giggled and returned the gesture. "Sorry Li! Us two spend the most time on our hair!" Zayn joked, and let me walk down the stairs first. Me and Zayn have become pretty good friends throughout the past few weeks. He's quite shy sometimes as well so we can relate to each other and talk about what were feeling.

We made it down the stairs and met up with the rest of the boys who were waiting in the foyer.  I walked over next to Harry, who was smiling at me.

"You look cute" He said, kissing me on the cheek. I blushed and thanked him.

"OMG Zayn you look sooo cute today" Louis mimicked Harry, and kissed Zayn on the cheek.

I laughed and Harry rolled his eyes at them, then snaked his arm around my waist, letting his hand rest on my hip.

"Let's go before we're late" Niall said, skipping out the front door to the car.

"I'm so excited to record! It's been awhile!" Louis said excitedly.

We all piled into the car and headed to the recording studio.

Luckily there were no fans waiting outside when we got to the studio, simply because no one knew that the boys were recording. We entered the building and headed up to the 3rd floor where the studio was.

The boys and I walked into the studio and I was amazed. The boys just walked in with no problem, but I've never been in a recording studio before; it was sick. There were guitars and instruments everywhere, and all these different panels to control the pitch and sound. Then there was a door that led to a small room where the actual recording happened.

"Amazing isn't it?" I heard Harry's voice say from behind me. I nodded and continued to look around.

A few minutes later the door swung open and Simon Cowell appeared. 

"Hello boys" He said, nodding to them. They all replied with hello's.

"And you must be Jordyn" He said, looking me in the eyes. Oh god. I can't even handle holding a conversation with a normal person, let alone a huge famous person like Simon!

"Yep that's me" I said, trying to pull off the confidence. He shook my hand and I gladly shook it back, despite the nerves that were currently rattling up in me. I saw Harry grin out of the corner of his eye; it looked somewhat like a proud grin.

"Alright guys" Simon clapped his hands together. "Were going to let you guys pick which one you want to record today. The first one is Live While Were Young, which you guys already helped write, or Little Things, the one that Ed Sheeran gave to you lads"

"Little Things!" Niall blurted out.

"Ehh I don't know, I think Live While Were Young would be better since its fun and upbeat, and it'll be perfect since it's the summertime" Liam stated.

"Good idea Li!" Louis said.

"Sorry Niall..." Zayn patted Niall on the back. 

"Alright so Live While Were Young it is. Liam were going to start with your verse first" Simon stated. Liam jumped up and ran into the recording booth all giddy.

I sat down on the couch that was in the room, and Harry plopped down next to me.

"We're probably going to be here for awhile" Harry said.

"That's okay, I don't mind. It's not like I have anything else to do" I said. Harry laughed, and then we both turned our attention on Liam in the recording booth.

All of the boys were basically done recording, and it sounded great so far. Niall just finished recording and now Harry was in the booth wrapping things up and tying the last bits of the song together. Liam, Zayn and Louis had gone to the cafeteria to get food, which left me and Niall.

He picked up one of the guitars and handed it to me. "Wanna learn how to play Live While Were Young?" He asked me.

"Sure!" I said eagerly. Niall grabbed another guitar and started to teach me.

I was just getting the hang of the song when Harry sang a long note that sounded insanely good. I jerked my head up and looked at Harry, who was singing into the microphone, really getting into the music. 

"He's incredible ain't he?" Niall said. 

I nodded, still in shock that someone could be THAT good of a singer. "I've only heard him on the radio but it does no justice to hearing him sing live"

"I know right" Niall said, looking at Harry in the booth.

After about 30 minutes, they wrapped up the recording session. They still had to come back once or twice more to put the finishing touches on it, but the song was complete for the most part. Harry came out of the booth the same time as Liam, Louis and Zayn came back.

We sat around for a little bit while we waited for the crew to assemble the song completely.

"Hey lads I taught Jordyn how to play Live While Were Young on the guitar" Niall said proudly.

"Really?! Lemme hear!" Louis said, sitting on the floor in front of me.

"Only if you play it with me Niall" I said, getting nervous about a tiny little performance.

He picked up the guitar and we started to play. As we were playing, the boys joined us by singing. It sounded pretty good acoustic! We finished the song and the sound crew and recording people all clapped for us.

"Wow Jordyn you're really good!" Zayn said.

"Thanks" I said smiling at him.

Harry sat down next to me on the couch and kissed my cheek. "You were amazing" He said.

"Not as amazing as you sounded in that booth!" I admitted. "You were incredible!"

"Thanks" He said blushing. Wait. Did I just make him blush? THE Harry Styles blush? Woah.

"Guys" Simon waved the boys over so they could listen to the song. 

"Come on" Harry said, grabbing my hand and bringing me with him. We all stood around the table and listened to the track.

When it was over, all of the boys cheered. It really did sound amazing; it was sure to be a hit.

"Great work today lads, I'll call you in the next week or so to let you know when to come back so we can touch it up a little" Simon said.

"Thanks Uncle Si! Well, see you soon!" Each boy hugged Simon. 

"It was a pleasure to meet you Jordyn" Simon said to me. "You too" I smiled at him, and then we exited the room.

"Ugh I'm exhausted" Zayn complained as we got in the elevator. "How many hours have we been here?"

"About 5 or 6" Liam said.

"I can't wait to crawl into bed" Niall said, leaning his head on Liam's shoulder.

The elevator dinged and the doors opened, and thats when I saw it.

A huge mob of fans waiting outside the recording studio.
