Chapter 7 - Beat you up

A Short Summary (Of what happened till now:

Soo Min lives alone in America and has a best friend called Hana. She also has her childhood love, Oliver, whom Hana starts too like and date. After a while she finds out that Soo Min also has feelings for Oliver and decides to break her friendship with her. Meanwhile, Soo Min's mother is trying to persuade Soo Min to fly back to Korea for good. Eventually, Soo Min decides to fly back.

At the airport she meets a strange guy in the bathroom, who was trying to run away from some weird girls. On the same day, she goes to a party and the bartender tried to give her a strange drink, which she also drank. Luckily, she escapes from the bartender and runs off to the rooftop where she meets this strange guy again, and wakes up the next day to find herself in his house. There she finds out that he is an Idol and that his name is Jonghyun

Eventually, both of them become good friends and Soo Min meets the rest of the SHINee members. Later she starts school and finds out that the SHINee members, except Onew who attends University, go in the same school as her. She befriends with Minji, Siwon and Baekhyun.

Key and Taemin request Soo Min to organize Jonghyun's surprise birthday party. On the day of the surprise party the SHINee members come home exhausted and see the surprise. There, Jonghyun tells her that he actually never had birthday.

Chapter 7 - Beat you up

"What kind of joke is that?" I said and was getting my hands ready for a punch. "D-Don't panic Soo Min, everything is alright." Key said with trembling hands. "No everything is not alright. Do you know how much effort I've made for this birthday party?" I said with furious eyes. "And you Taemin! What are you standing at the side and enjoying this show? I am as angry with you as with Key." I said and Taemin flinched.

"S-Sorry" he said and put his head down. "Sorry you say?" I said and got even angrier, even though I should calm down. "I'll beat you up" I said and started to walk toward Taemin. "Somebody help me" he said and was about to run away. "You better not run and Key, I'll get to you later" I said and ran after Taemin. Basically, we were playing a cat and mouse.

"Hey it's okay" Jonghyun said and Taemin and I stopped on our tracks. "Today even you can't stop me, Jonghyun" I said and turned around, facing Taemin, who looked terrified again. I had just started running again, when I felt a pair of hands wrapping around my waist from behind, which made my checks heat up. "Let me go Jonghyun" I said and tried to free myself. "No way. Let's go outside" he said and picked me up and carried me outside. "I told you to let me go" I said and Jonghyun didn't say anything anymore, he just kept on walking.

"What the hell happened?" Jonghyun asked after we reached the garden and he had put me down. "Key and Taemin made me organize your surprise birthday party, because you guys were too busy to do it yourself." I said and put my hands on my waist. "But I don't have birthday today" Jonghyun said. "Exactly. They were playing a prank on me" he said and Jonghyun rubbed his temples, as if he had to deal with too many things.

"How about going in there and enjoying the cake and the food which you made?" he said and tried to calm me down. "What? And what about my revenge?" I asked frustrated. "Don't worry, I'll do it for you" he said with a smile. I smiled too and held my smallest finger in front of his face. "Pinky promise?"

"Pinky promise" he said and sealed the promise with his finger. We went inside and saw the rest sitting on the sofa, laughing and enjoying. "Well, Soo Min, the birthdate of Jonghyun can be found in the internet, you should have checked before falling in the trap" Key said and I just sighed; I should have done it.

"Why did you do this to me anyway?" I asked. "I just felt like having a party, and since we were so busy, I decided to ask you for that, using Jonghyun as an excuse" he said and the other SHINee members, except Jonghyun who was focused on the food instead of this conservation, looked at each other, as if they were telepathy talk with each other.

"This is so good, who made this" Jonghyun asked while showing the coconut pie. "I made that, it's good right?" I asked and got distracted from the conservation. "Can you tell me the recipe? My noona likes to bake, I would like to give her the recipe" he said and I nodded.

For the rest of the time Jonghyun and I were talking, ignoring the rest and realized that we have quite a lot in common. "What? You have never tried Soba? This is literally one of the best foods from Japan" Jonghyun said. "Is it that good?" I asked and Jonghyun nodded enthusiastically.

"Soo Min, we have to go now" Eun hee said. "5 more minutes" I said and Eun hee sighed. "That's been going on for half an hour" Minho said and rolled his eyes. "Okay, one day, I will take you to a Japanese restaurant and we will eat it together" he said and I just nodded.

Wait, what? Is that supposed to mean something? I don't know why but my heart started beating fast at this thought. No, he probably meant it in a friendly way.

"Can we go now" Kyungsoo asked and I stood up. After that we went home and I took a shower. I put my towel around my neck, after I showered, turned on my laptop, and opened up the most popular reading site of right now.

I smiled when I saw my story as the most popular story of the week again. I started writing just for fun about 6 months ago, but as time passed by, I noticed a certain passion starting to build and I somehow fell in love with writing.

Suddenly, I heard my phone ring. As I looked at the caller ID, I was happy to see that it was Hyorin. "Hyorin! How are you?" I asked happily. "Seems like Soo Min is anticipating my arrival. I am fine and you?" "I am also fine and yes, it's true, I am anticipating your arrival, after all it's been 4 years. Today was a tiring day, you won't guess what happened" I said and yawned.

"Well, some days ago, Taemin and Key came to our house and asked me if I could organize Jonghyun's surprised party" I started to tell her the story. The entire time Hyorin was listening patiently and asked me questions in the end. "Wow, that .... Why .... I don't understand men, why would they do that?" she said and I could hear her frustration in her voice.

"But be honest" she said and made a small break. "You actually liked it, right?" she asked. "Liked what?" I asked confused. "Him being with you. You liked it, when he wrapped his arms around your waist and when he calmed you down and when he talked to you for so long and when..." she was just continuing when I cut her off with wide eyes. "What are you talking about? Of course not, he is a friend"

"Soo Min it's me, Hyorin. I am the person who knows everything about you and you know everything about me. I can see through you even though I can only hear your voice. Your friend Hana doesn't even know that much about you" she said and just stayed silent, well she was right, Hana didn't even notice when I acted strange around Oliver.

"And Oliver? He seems completely forgotten since you came back to Korea, every time I call you, you talk about Jonghyun at least once, you know, I've been noticing it from a while now" she said.

"Well, I do agree that I am starting to forget Oliver, I am thinking less and less about him day by day, but I do not agree about your claim of me liking Jonghyun" I said and shock my head, even though she couldn't see me.

"Who said you liked him? I just claimed that you like his presence" she said and I could feel her smirking on the other line. Damn it, always playing word games with me. "ANYWAY, as I was saying I am currently on the 'most popular story of the week as #1 again." I said changing the topic.

"Congratulations! Have you updated your story? I didn't read the latest part yet. Wait a minute, are you trying to change the subject? That won't work on me!" Hyorin exclaimed.

"Who do you think you are?" I heard from the outside. "Wait a minute" I said and put the phone on the table. I opened the window and saw Eun hee and two other girls in front of our house. I looked at them until one of them started to pull Eun hee's hair and I gasped.

I picked up the phone and said "I'll call you later". I didn't even hear what Hyorin replied back and ran outside, without even wearing my shoes. "What do you think you are doing?" I screamed and tried to separate the girl from Eun hee.

"You ugly child, don't talk back to me!" the stranger said and I was somehow getting angry. "I'll beat you up" Eun hee said, adding fuel to the fire. "What do you think you are, huh?" she said and Eun hee stood still on her track. The other girl also calmed herself down and fixed her hair.

"I'll deal with this kid later, first let's get you inside" I said to Eun hee and put my arm around her shoulder, taking her inside with me.

"Everybody will abandon you. Even your parents abandoned you, after you were born." We turned around and I closed my eyes, suppressing the anger I had inside.

"That's why you live with your new family, right?"

Guys, do you know how much only ONE vote makes my day? But lately, I feel like nobody is reading my book -_- Well, for my silent readers: Thanks for reading. It's nice to know that somebody is here at least.

Finally! My laptop has come back! Those who read my author's note last week probably know that tea was spilled on my laptop, which lead it not to function anymore. Anyway, I put away the author's note because I feel that it annoys people who will read it after a while. I mean, I don't like reading author's notes, when it was posted ages ago and it is irrelevant with me.
