I want to tell you all something. I'm really glad that you are accepting my fanfiction with your hands wide open. Lately I've been feeling worthless and I keep telling my parents and myself that they should completely focus and invest in my little sister and leave me behind. So recieving your support and seeing the view count increasing is like rays of warm sunshine on the frozen ground. I literally cried when I saw it (with out anyone seeing of course.😅) Really....Thank you so much... I really do love all my readers... please do continue to support me. I'll stop my rant now.. onto the story we go...

Chapter 16Power

No one's pov:

A 16-year old Sasuke ran through the dark corridors of the building towards the light. The countless rooms on either side of the corridor and the silence make the underground base creepy. The fire torches hooked on either walls flickered by the breeze of Sasuke's speed.

He exited the long corridor and entered an opening. Or more like a big dent on the ground. He saw Sakura, Sai and Captain Yamato looking up with gaping mouths.

"Sakura! What do you think you are doing? Have you found...." Sasuke trailed off as he looked up at the person standing above the ground.

".... Naruto?" Sasuke finished.

"Oh? You are here too?" The person, now identified as Naruto, said looking down. "Big brother Sasuke..." He said in a mocking tone.

The others looked at Sasuke surprised. They all knew Sasuke view Naruto as his little brother, as he'd always declare that with pride when anyone badmouth Naruto back in the village. But they never thought Sasuke gathered enough courage to confess that to Naruto.

"Naruto..." Sasuke gritted his teeth. "Come back to Konoha with us."

Naruto chuckled. "You haven't changed a bit Sasuke. Always ordering me around..."

He jumped down. His black cloak with red clouds fluttered in the wind as he gracefully landed right beside Sasuke. He put his hand on Sasuke's shoulder and leaned over to his ear.

"Tell me Sasuke.. Did you come all the way here just to know if I were here?" Naruto asked. Sasuke didn't reply. He didn't move an inch.

"Consider yourself lucky. If Hidan or Deidara happened to be here, you probably would be dead by now. Good thing they abandoned this base a few days back. I can't have them kill you... cause..." Naruto trailed off as his other hand moved towards the handle of the sword strapped behind his back and unsheathed the sword.

"Cause... you are my kill...mine!" He grinned maniacally as he brought the sword to Sasuke's back and ready to pierce his chest from behind... only for a katana fly towards him and he jumped back up to the higher ground.

He looked at his attacker with uninterested face and asked. "And who might you be? My replacement or something?"

"My name is Sai. And I won't let you hurt Sasuke." The boy said with determined face with a scroll and brush in his hands.

"Ah... Is that so? It's only been three years and my beloved teammates replaced me with some other guy." Naruto placed his hands over his chest with fake hurt expression.

"Naruto... that's not it. You weren't there and we desperately needed another member to go on missions...so..." Sakura tried.

Naruto laughed loudly as he placed his sword back into the sheathe. "Where's Obito sensei?"

"He's in the village. If you are worried about him, then come back with us." Sasuke yelled at Naruto.

"Could you please stop using 'come back to the village' at the end of every sentence you speak? It's really pissing me off. And secondly I'm not worried about that good for nothing bastard. I was just sad that I won't be able to kill him with you all right here." Naruto smirked as he raised his hands chakra slowly swirling in his palms.

The team got ready to defend themselves from whatever ninjutsu Naruto's gonna use, only to see a tall bulky man wearing black cloak with red clouds, with long white spiky hair tied to a ponytail stopping Naruto by gripping his hands. Another three people stood behind them wearing the same outfit.

"Naruto, calm down". The red head spoke gently.

"Nagato, what are you doing here?" Naruto asked.

"Kakashi is asking for you and master Jiraya." The orange head said in a cheery tone as he ruffled Naruto's blonde locks.

"Let's go Naruto. They are not worth your time." Jiraya said, glaring down at the team. "Konan"

Konan nodded as she moved forward and placed her hands on his shoulder. "We're leaving now Naruto. Say goodbye to your leaf ninja friends." She said with a small smile as she, Nagato, Yahiko, Jiraya and Naruto started to disintegrate into bits of paper.

"I'll see you real soon, Sasuke. So don't worry. Next time we meet, we will battle to death." Naruto flashed a grin while waving his hands at them.

"Naruto...wait" Sasuke yelled as he lunged forward.

"Oh and Itachi says hello" And with that they completely disappeared leaving the paper bits flying in wind and a depressed team 7.

A paper fell on Sasuke's palm as he squeezed his eyes shut.

'Naruto... We came running looking for you when we heard about the Akatsuki base but you disappeared on us. I'll never give up. I'll bring you back no matter what.' Sasuke thought as he closed and held the paper in his hands.

Somewhere in a dark room:

Footsteps of five people echoed through the dark room. Naruto and Jiraya walked in front and Yahiko, Nagato, Konan followed close behind.

"Why did you call us here suddenly, Kakashi?" Jiraya asked.

"I want to send Naruto on a mission." Kakashi replied.

"Alone?" Naruto coldly asked.

"I'll have Shisui accompany you if he's available, if he's not, you'll have to go alone. I want you to go to Sand village and capture their jinjuriki, Gaara" Naruto stiffened hearing that name. "He became the Kazekage. So it's safe to assume that he'll be powerful. Be careful. You will go next week, so take this week to prepare. And, can I have a word with you alone, Naruto?" Kakashi asked.

Naruto shrugged. The others nodded and disappeared into smoke.

"What is it you want to talk?" Naruto asked coldly.

"How's Kurama?" Kakashi asked.

Naruto looked up.

"You already have his chakra. So leave him alone already." Naruto yelled.

Kakashi chuckled. "I don't intend to take Kurama away from you. I know how important he is to you. That's why we extracted his chakra bit by bit two times giving him time to recover the lost chakra. We have enough chakra from Kurama so there's no need to worry. I was just asking."

(To people who are confused. The Akatsuki are hunting for chakra beasts. When they talked about it to Naruto, he disagreed. Seeing his attachment to kyuubi, Kakashi agreed to extract the kyuubi's chakra two times, half chakra each time giving interval in between for Kurama to recover his lost chakra. Kurama agreed to the proposition so Naruto's forced to agree by Kurama. But Naruto's still sore about 'Akatsuki hurting Kurama.')

"Is that what you wanted to talk about?" He asked.

Kakashi shook his head, turning serious. "Now that your training is complete, what are you going to do?"

"My ideals don't match yours. I seek chaos and destruction while you aim for world peace by sealing all chakra beasts in one place to prevent unnecessary wars." Naruto said.

"I hate this world and everyone in it. We will never get along. I will stay for now and help you capture the jinjurikis as a repayment for training me. After its done, I'll leave this place behind." He turned and walked towards the door.

Naruto opened the door. "After all, I agreed to go to Jiraya to get strong enough to destroy Konoha." He exited and closed the door.

Two pairs of eyes widened in shock as they heard the conversation from the dark. "Destroy... Konoha?"
