Chapter 6: Similar Thoughts

Previously:

Nami found her hidden feelings for her captain, but she decided to deny it everytime she thought of it. She told Robin of this so called "problem" but she ended up finding the answer she tried to deny. Her feelings for Luffy.

Now:

"W-What are saying Robin?! Me fall for Luffy?!" Nami quickly reacted to Robin's answer to her "problem".

"Don't worry, I won't tell anyone." Robin teased Nami.

"That's not the problem." Nami responded.

"Well, if you want another answer you can always tell the guys." Robin teased Nami once more.

"(Sigh) Never mind I'm just gonna go take a bath." Nami said while walking away.

What Nami was really trying to do was hide her blush from Robin.

Nami turned around to Robin and said, "And if that is the case about my problem, Luffy won't feel the same way, he's too innocent, and childish."

"Well if it's what you think. I just told what I think about your 'problem'." Robin teased Nami for the second time making Nami leave in a huff.

Meanwhile:

Luffy sat on Sunny's head thinking about what would have happened if Nami wasn't by his side.

"Gee, if Nami hadn't been by my side I would have been bummed out all the time. Besides she's right, I will protect them and if I can't their experience and training will." Luffy said to himself.

"Now that I think about it Nami looked cute while sleeping, she was so peaceful, her rosy cheeks, and the best one, her long beautiful orange hair that smelled like a sweet tangerine." Luffy said imagining Nami.

"What am I doing? It's not like me to imagine her like that." Luffy said, confused why he feels that way.

"But if that were the case, I would want her to compliment me too. Ha! That's not happening! She thinks I'm too childish. But I guess that's the only compliment I'll get from her. Shishishishi! It'll do!" Luffy said with the same thought as Nami.

Nami's room:

After Nami took her bath she wrapped a towel covering her chest to the bottom area of her body (Woah! WTF! I just got really deep there.) 

She wore a violet shirt, that's like 2 sizes too big for her, and white jean shorts or Jorts.

She brushed her long, orange hair gently then she looked at her face, she looked so elegant (Even though she didn't act like one.)

"Jeez. I wish someone would at least compliment something about me. Especially my hair." She wished for something she didn't know came true.

Time-skip to evening:

Everyone was dead asleep, except for Nami and Luffy.

Nami couldn't sleep because she didn't feel comfortable with her being alone she thought that maybe she just needs some water.

Luffy couldn't sleep because he wanted to sleep with Nami again. So he thought he would just go to Nami's room and luckily she will let him do it.

Luffy was about to head to Nami's room but his stomach grumbled so he decided to eat something first.

After Luffy went to the kitchen and saw Nami stare at some orange juice, Sanji made for her.

Nami was startled by Luffy's presence and blushed a little.

"L-Luffy?! W-What are you doing here?! Aren't you supposed to be asleep?" Nami asked Luffy.

"That's my line. Anyway, what are you doing?" Luffy answered with a question.

"Oh, it's just an orange juice always reminds me of Bell-mère." Nami said as a tear left her eye.

Luffy sat across Nami and slowly reached for her hand.

Nami was a little scared because she didn't know what Luffy will do.

"Luffy what are you-" 

"I'm so sorry!" Luffy startled Nami.

"I'm sorry, that I've been a huge jerk to you! I didn't want to remind you of Bell-mère." Luffy said angrily and worriedly.

"Luffy." Nami said softly.

"Say Nami, can I sleep with you again? It's just I kind of sleep a little better when your by my side." Luffy finally said his request.

"N-No." Nami lied, she really wanted Luffy to sleep beside her.

"O-Okay. It's fine, it was a stupid request anyway." Luffy said, feeling like a huge idiot.

Luffy was about to stand up and walk away, but Nami's hand grabbed to his wrist. Making Luffy turned around to her.

Nami's face was down so she could hide her blush.

"W-Wait."

"Hm?" Luffy said, confused.

Nami raised her head a little and said, "Well, if it will help you sleep better. A captain must be in top condition after all." Nami lied again.

Nami's room:

The two quickly wrapped themselves on the blanket, trying to avoid a conversation. But what really happened is that the two was looking at each other, awkwardly. Nami blushed a little bit while Luffy showed no sign of embarrassment. Luffy scoot over to Nami a little closer and closer and closer and then their face was right next to each other. Nami's eyes widened because Luffy was moving his head a little closer to her. She thinks that maybe Luffy will kiss her, so she closed her eyes. She didn't want him to stop but what really happened was just Luffy nuzzled his nose on Nami's. Luffy grinned widely, Nami opened her eyes confused and Luffy once more nuzzled his nose onto her.

"Hope that cheers you up." Luffy said innocently.

Nami giggled and smiled and said, "Luffy you goofball!"

"You want me to do it again?" Luffy asked Nami.

But her answer was futile because Luffy did it anyway. And then Nami was the one who nuzzled her nose onto Luffy.

"Luffy, how are you able to do these things?" Nami asked Luffy.

"What do you mean?" Luffy asked confused.

"You make people happy again," then Nami snapped her fingers, "just like that." Nami added.

"Well Makino always does that when I was a kid. Whenever I'm feeling down she just does that and it makes me smile everytime." Luffy answered

"Thank you Luffy." Nami giggled.

"No, thank you Nami." Luffy kissed Nami's forehead.

"Good night." Luffy said to Nami who was stunned by what he did.

"Huh? Oh. uh. Good night to you too." Nami responded.

Nami put her hand on her forehead, it was warm. She giggled.

Maybe she does have feelings for him.
