Fifty Four - The Last Journey
19:08, 1 May 2022After my own coronation, the Elves of our kingdom left to build ships to sail to the Undying Lands.
Esme, Rumil, Oropher, Iston and Ozora visited Ezeria one last time before Sailing to the Lands of the Undying as well.
The time of Men was coming quick, and the immortal wouldn't be able to stay much longer.
Legolas and I married a few months after. Thranduil was happy to see us together before he left. He had taken the Woodland Elves to the White Harbour and sailed for the Lands of the Undying soon after.
Alek, Dessa, Thallan, Zion, and Aurelia all decided to sail together two years into my reign. We knew we would meet again so it was an easy goodbye.
After many years, I gave my kingdom to the Men I trusted in the court. They called themselves a Democracy where they choose leaders.
Cleos and Hadrian sailed after the transition was made.
Legolas and I agreed we would leave after Aragorn's reign ended.
Arwen grew older, ageing every year and enjoying her mortal life with her love.
Years went by, some time after the last of the Elves left, we found out I was pregnant. After the months of my pregnancy, we had a girl named Ripley, the youngest Tempest
After Aragorn's death, we were all saddened by it. Arwen took it the hardest and stayed on Middle Earth.
"Ripley, where are you?" I called, walking into my daughter's room. She tapped my arm and I turned, she wasn't there.
Of course, I was the one to have a child who could turn invisible.
"Ripley, we have to go, your father is waiting," I said. "Alright," She appeared next to her bed, putting the last of her things into a bag.
"I can't wait for you to meet the rest of our family," I smiled. Everything about her told you she was mine. All except her eyes, those were claimed by her father.
"What can they do?" She asked. "Our cousin, Cleos, can change the temperature around him. He and I can make it snow together," I said and she smiled. Winter was her favourite of the seasons.
"Alek, your uncle, has the ability to see the past, visions of the future, and anything happening at the current moment. His daughter is Aurelia, your cousin, she can heal anyone by touching them,"
"Hadessa and Hadrian are twins. Dessa is a telepath, she can read your mind and move things without touching them. Hadrian is an Empath, he knows the emotions you feel and can even change them. Dessa has a son named Zion, who is incredibly strong,"
"Esme is your aunt and my youngest sister. She can change the size of any object. Her son, Iston, can run faster than anyone I've ever seen and her daughter, Ozora, can control the weather," I finished.
"Didn't you have another brother? What happened to him?" She asked. "I did have an older brother. His name was Nikolas. He could change into any animal he wished. He died in the Battle for Gondor in the Second War," I explained.
"And... Grandfather Silas and Grandmother Elrena?" She asked. "My father could speak the language of every being. My mother was an Elf. They had both died in the Gundabad lands with your father's mother, Eluriel," I answered.
"My father had two other brothers. After my father and mother we lost, they raised us. Martarys and Vardos. Martarys could change the weight of things and Vardos could teleport. They died in the Battle of Helm's Deep," I said.
"You lost a lot to Sauron, didn't you?" She asked. "I did. But it also gave me this," I said, holding her hands and kissing her head.
"Once it was over, we were safe. We can live without fear of our happiness being taken from us," I smiled.
"What might you two be doing?" Legolas asked as he walked into the room. "Mum was telling me about the Tempests," She answered. "Well, we're ready to set sail when you two are," He said, walking out again.
"That was code for; 'I'll leave you both here," I said quietly. "I would never leave either of you, my love," Legolas said through the door and Ripley laughed.
I walked over to the door, opening it to see him standing there. "Were you never told it was rude to eavesdrop?" I asked.
"Not when It's my daughter and her beautiful mother," He took my waist and kissed me as Ripley retched from the other side of the room.
"Not in here, please," She begged us and I laughed. "We'll be down by the gates, when you're ready, sweetheart," I smiled, closing her door.
~~~
"This is it, isn't it?" Arwen asked as we stood outside. "I'm afraid it is, little cousin," I hugged her tightly and she returned it. "It's never too late for you and Eldarion to join us," Legolas offered.
"That is very kind of you, Legolas, but Eldarion and I plan to stay here for a little longer," She said and he nodded.
"Ready," Ripley said, panting as she ran out to us with a bag. "Let's get to the harbour," Le said and I nodded.
We walked out to the stables, getting our horses and riding out to the Harbour.
The ship was something the three of us did together. We put every piece of it together ourselves and had more value to us than most things.
"Are we ready to set off?" I asked. "We're ready, love," Le said and I nodded, making the currents pull us through the water and into the open ocean.
Time to see our family.
