Eleven - The Servant of Mordor

00:20, 10 April 2022

People screamed and flames were up as I walked onto the shore. “Ver!” Cleos ran to me. “Do not tell me this is an illusion,” he said in shock and I reached out and held his hand. “I’m here,” I smiled as he embraced me.

“Verena, it is good to see you again,” Legolas said from behind me and I turned to face him. “Hello, Legolas,” I said and hugged him. I looked past him at Tauriel, who smiled. “Hello again, friend,” I smiled and hugged her as well. “Hello, Verena,” She hugged me back.

I closed my eyes and sighed, extinguishing the rest of the fires that burned. “I’ve come to help the people,” I told them. “You said you were in Rivendell?” he questioned. “I’ll explain later,” I told him.

“Where did you find that sword?” I said and pointed at Legolas’ sword. “A thief had it,” he answered. “Thorin Oakenshield is not a thief. Lord Elrond allowed him to keep it. Orcrist was a gift and you had no right to take it,” I chastised. “Ver,” Cleos said and put his hand on my shoulder.

“What did you find after following the Orcs?” I changed the subject and began to walk through the people. “A Wargpack, waiting on the outskirts of Esgaroth. They fled north,” Cleos explained. “They bore the mark of Gundabad,” Legolas added.

“They were after Thorin,” I huffed. “What do you know of this?” Legolas asked. “We were chased by Azog the Defiler for a year,” I said, slightly annoyed. “Bolg was here, not Azog,” Legolas recognised.

“Here on his father’s behalf, no doubt. Azog wants to end the line of Durin, meaning he wants Thorin and his nephews, Fili and Kili dead,” I explained. “Then why was Bolg here instead? If he wants their deaths then you’d think he’d be the one to swing the sword,” Cleos wondered aloud.

“My Lord Legolas. I bring word from your Father. You are to return to him immediately,” Feren rode in and I looked at Legolas. “Come, Tauriel,” he told her and walked toward Feren. “My Lord, Tauriel is banished,” He informed.

“You may tell my father if there is no place for Tauriel, there is no place for me,” Legolas told him and Tauriel moved closer to him. “Legolas, it is your king’s command,” She said.

“Yes, he is my King, but he does not command my heart,” He told her and I smiled. He finally found someone. “I ride north. Will you come with me?” he asked “To where?” She asked “Gundabad,”

“Legolas,” He turned to me. “Be careful, we do not know what that fortress may hold. It is fell, just by its name,” I warned. He nodded and they rode away as Cleos and I marched toward the mountains.

“How are you here? You took form in the water and told me you were in Rivendell,” he asked. “I found a way to get myself from one place to another across water currents. Really, it was Alek who discovered it. Taking my form, dissolving it in one body of water, then condensing myself in another place,” I explained.

“You might be the strongest of us all, Ver,” he said. “None of us are at our strongest without the others,” I told him. “Twenty years in Tiseah got you all philosophical, didn’t it?” he joked and I laughed.

*Alek’s POV*

“You cannot fight the shadow. Even now you fade. One light alone in the darkness,” Sauron's spirit told Galadriel as we waited in the shadows “I am not alone,” At that, I walked through the doorway and took out my sword.

 “Are you in need of assistance, My Lady?” Saruman asked across from me. The Nazguls turned to us and unsheathed their weapons. “You should have stayed dead,” Elrond told them and we attacked while Galadriel tended to Gandalf.

My sword clashed against one of them and the other came in from behind but was pushed over the edge by Saruman and gave me enough time to ‘kill’ the one I am fighting and run my blade through one that climbed back up.

Once we are nearly done, Radagast came in on his sleigh and took Gandalf as Elrond does away with the last one. “Lady Galadriel!” I said as Elrond and I rushed toward her as the eye of Sauron appeared before us.

“It has begun. The East will fall. The Kingdom of Angmar will rise. The time of the Elves is over. The Age of the Orc has come,” Sauron told us in black speech.

Galadriel stood and used all of her power to send him away. “You have no power here, servant of Mordor. You are nameless, faceless, formless! Go back to the void from whence you came!” She stumbled back into Elrond’s arms.

“We were deceived,” Elrond stated in Elvish. “The spirit of Sauron endured,” I said in shock “And has been banished,” Saruman said in a confident tone. “He will flee into the East,” Galadriel said, weakly.

“Gondor should be warned. They must set a watch on the walls of Mordor,” Elrond told us. “No. Look after the Lady Galadriel. She has spent much of her powers, her strength is failing. Take her to Lothlorien,” Saruman told Elrond. “He must be destroyed, once and for all,” I pressed.

“Without the Ring of Power, Sauron can never again hold dominion over Middle Earth. Go now. Leave Sauron to me,” He told us. “You can’t force his hand alone, I will go with you,” I said and he nodded. “Come, then,”

~~~
“Are you mad! Sauron can not hold dominion over Middle Earth. It would be the end of all light!” I told him. “It is time for my power to return. The Age of Orcs had come,” Sauron said in black speech. “I was hoping you would agree with us,” Saruman said in disappointment as he walked toward me.
In one quick movement, Saruman knocked my sword from my hand and shattered it then hit me with a wave of white light. I saw nothing else but my eyes turning a crystal blue in the shards of my sword.
