part 9: new apocalypse

They all wish that this was just a bad dream, a nightmares from which they could wake up from but it felt far too real.

Grayfia: oh brother....why?

She was completely out of it, Sirzechs never saw the love of his life in such a vulnerable state, he was losing control of himself now from seeing her like this, on top of all the clones in every faction and every mythology using the juggernaut drive is a threat equal if not greater than the beast 666 by sheer numbers and combined power, he was covered in his power of destruction and couldn't risk holding back, he stayed by her side but fired off beams, bullets, whips, blades etc all made of his energy at the juggernaut clones, he was sending every one he hit straight into oblivion, the clones attacked but his powers consumed their attacks, both physical and energy based attacks but not the longinus smashers. He had to create shields but he wasn't alone, everyone else was attacking too, Irina spread her 4 pairs of angel wings and attacks, Vali entered juggernaut drive and divided many clones out of existence, he took their energy and life force to fuel his juggernaut drive, he was disappointed that they had such little life force and that not one of them was a challenge but he was proud to be the first white dragon emperor to kill the red dragon emperor again and again all in one day, Albion could see a smirk plastered on Vali's face.

Albion: you're enjoying this during a time of crisis? Looks like you haven't changed much. Haha

Vali: old habits die hard my friend.

Rias also did the same as her her brother, covered in the same power and was destroying many clones, Xenovia, Kiba, Koneko, Arthur, Bikou and everyone else were not holding back, despite the power and size of the clones they were nothing compared to the original, Asia in her artificial balance courtesy of Azazel was defending herself and others too, Gasper used his forbidden Balor view and went full beast of darkness, he tore the clones apart.

Gasper: DON'T YOU TRY TO IMPERSONATE MY BIG BROTHER!!!

He created other creatures that had all kinds of messed up features but they did one thing. Kill. They weren't affected by physical attacks, some went into the armour and changed the direction of any energy based attacks only to aim it at the other clones, Gasper tried to stop time but the clones weren't affected by it just like before. Akeno, like Irina also has 8 wings, clearly no one has slacked off after defeating the beast, she used every spell in her arsenal and destroyed clone after clone but it was taking a toll on everyone after some time, they had to defend themselves and each other all while having to attack and full strength otherwise they might lose and they can't risk that ever. La Fey and Rossweisse used every spell and seal in their arsenal, they thanked their lucky stars that the clones were no where near Issei's level otherwise they would be dead. Ravel burned them all into ashes by simply touching them with her flames.

The screen was showing clips of all the factions and mythologies being attacked by juggernaut clones, they were sustaining heavy damage and even casualties because not all of them have truly powerful deities like Indra, Odin, Zeus etc but they fought on, those who could go to help them did just that after they knew their comrades could defend their homes. This was the full alliance at work, their goals were becoming a reality, in the city of Lilith Azazel's team of Livinia the wielder of Absolute Demise froze all the juggernaut clones  and were sliced into pieces by Tobio with the help of his living sacred gear.

Back at the Gremory household, everyone there were happy to finally meet Evelyn.

Evelyn: WOW, uncle Vali told me that I have a big family but I never thought that it would be this big.

Riser and his team along with family with the exception of Ravel were present, Sairorg Bael and his team along with his mother were happy to meet her, the daughter of the man you beat him fair and square, brought back him mother from a coma and one of those who played a great role in saving the universe, even Regulas took a liking to her maybe because they are both cats in a way. The Gremory family loved her right away and couldn't help but contact Sona who came immediately with her entire team.

Sona: Lady Venelana, is it true? That Issei has a daughter?

Venelana: it's true, here she is.

Evelyn comes forward.

Saji went bug eyed.

Saji: ISSEI HAS A KID??? THAT GUY KEPT THIS BEAUTIFUL SOUL FROM OUR LIVES THIS WHOLE TIME?!!

Milicus enters the room. He's just like Issei described, looks just like his father, strong, kind etc.

Milicus: so you're big brother Issei's daughter, I'm Milicus.

Evelyn: I'm Evelyn.

They were having a blast until they actually heard one outside the estate.

Beal: what was that? An explosion?

One of the servants in the house bursts through the door.

Servant: everyone, were under attack. The number of assailants are increasing.

They all look out the window and they all felt the tension. Seeing multiple red dragon emperors all using the juggernaut drive.

Riser: what...the...

Milicus: are those what I think they are?

Sairorg: how did we not see this coming?

Azazel: everyone prepare for combat.

Ajuka: something isn't right.

Serafall: geee....what tipped you off?

Ajuka ignored her sarcastic remark.

Cao Cao: he's right, we all know what kind of power the juggernaut drive has so why can't we feel that intensity from all those?

They all looked at him and realized that he's right. None of those felt as strong as Issei when he fought Shalba nearly 20 years ago.

Saji's sacred gear appeared on his arm.

Viritra: that's cause they are artificial. They don't have the true power of the juggernaut drive.

Azazel: so that's what Euclid did. That son of a..

He realized that Evelyn is in the room and seeing the juggernaut clones attacking.

Sairorg: regulas stay with Evelyn.

Regulas: yes master.

Serafall: Lord Gremory and lady Venelana and I will stay with Evelyn. Milicus we will need you to.

Milicus: understood.

He continues to stare out the window as everyone else sets up barriers and then run outside, they all start fighting the clones and are holding their own against them.

Evelyn: Is that what my father's juggernaut drive looks like?

Those in the room look at her, now they know that she isn't in the dark about the sacred gears.

Serafall: yes but those are the incomplete version and since these are artificial according to Viritra they are very weak in comparison to the real one.

Venelana: that's one of the very reasons why we are holding our own. The true power of the juggernaut drive is limitless especially for the host of the boosted gear but every great power has a dangerous drawback.

Evelyn: the loss of life force.....

Milicus: but your father has surpassed the juggernaut drive and is known as the strongest red dragon emperor in history. He was once the weakest but in a year or so he was definitely the strongest.

Evelyn: papa is amazing...

They all watched as everyone was destroying the clones but still had to fight hard and defend. Sairorg was shattering them, the Phoenix team was burning them to ashes, Sitri team was cutting them down especially Saji in his balance breaker, Azazel was grinning like a mad man, not only was he enjoying fighting along side everyone but he wanted to know how the clones came into being. Cao Cao unleashed his balance breaker and protected the city including the fleeing residents.

The Hindu mythology being one of strongest was raising hell upon the clones, the Norse mythology was going all out, Thor brought down a full on lightning storm on them, this was becoming one of the most challenging fights of his life.

Back to our favorite team.

They all fought on and destroyed a lot of clones but some portals remained open and more popped out of them, there was seemingly no limit to them so Sirzechs and Rias fired powerful beams of destruction into the portals in hopes to destroy whatever was on the other side and no more clones would appear for a while. It worked and the portals closed but the remaining clones started to boost and fired off longinus smashers. They all defended successful but fatigue was setting in, only Asia could heal them but only proper rest would recover their strength and stamina.

Issei just stood there looking at Kuroka in her tailed beast form, he could feel her power, she was basically as strong as him if not maybe more. The woman he loves has become this giant cat whose power is dangerous.....far too dangerous.

Ddraig: partner! Snap out of it. That's not her.

Issei: YES IT IS.......it's her....deep down..... It's her.

He looked at her and flew up using only his dragon wings and was now at eye level.

Issei: honey......I know you can hear me. Please give me a sign that you're still in there.

Euclid: give up red dragon..she can't hear you.

Issei looked at him and every second his anger boiled.

Issei released an aura that morphed into a crimson dragon.

Issei instantly broke the sound barrier  and kicked Euclid directly in the ribs this breaking them. His punches had the force of meteors coming in at Mach 5, it ignited the air around his fist as he unleashed his rage upon Euclid however Euclid found an opening and kicked Issei into the ground. Grayfia ran over to him.

Grayfia: Issei are you okay?

Issei: no....I'm not..

Grayfia: you can't fight them both.

Issei: I ONLY WANT TO KILL HIM!!! HE BROKE HER, HE HURT OUR CHILDREN AND KILLED THEM. HE TORTURED HER AND HE HURT YOU.

Grayfia was amazing that even this state he was doing this for her too. To her, Issei is a brother to her in one moment then Euclid has been since the war but still......she can't fight him....he's still her brother and only one left of her old family.

Grayfia: Issei.... please don't do this alone...let me help.

Issei: .....we both know that you can't.....he's your brother despite what he did.....I'm sorry but I have to end this. He will die by my hand, Kuroka is my wife and I have to help her....I can't lose her again.

He was crying now. Euclid began to laugh.

Euclid: hahaha this is pathetic. Face it you two, you both failed. Grayfia if you joined me and the red dragon wasn't around then all of this could have been avoided.

Issei: BULLSHIT! THIS WAS THE PLAN OF THE CHAOS BRIGADE THE ENTIRE TIME!!

Euclid: true but we might have been more lenient with the underworld but no more. Now my dear beast, attack.

Issei: DON'T YOU DARE CAL HER A BEAST YOU MONSTER!

He boosted again and charged with the same dragonic aura enveloping him, he trained to the point where he could use power of the sacred gear beyond it's limits but couldn't use the balance breaker. Grayfia couldn't fight her brother or hurt Kuroka because if she did then she feared that Issei would hate her. Everyone else was too busy taking out the clones and were clearly getting tired, she wishes she was stronger, her title of the strongest queen feels like a lie to her now. She gritted her teeth in frustration then she had an idea, she may not be able to fight but she can help Issei by protecting him, she lost one brother but won't lose him too, if she didn't then she could never look at Evelyn in the eye so soon after getting to know her.

Grayfia: I GOT YOUR BACK ISSEI......I CAN'T BRING MYSELF TO FIGHT HIM BUT I CAN AT LEAST TRY TO STOP HER!!

She used her ice magic, her specialty on Kuroka, her feet were frozen to the ground but her flames were slowly melting them, she tried to freeze Euclid but he countered her spell easily. He wasn't kidding when he said that he enhanced his abilities, Issei charged at him and was ready to decapitate him right then and there but he was swatted away like a fly by Kuroka's tails. He completely forget that she can use those too.

Euclid: I'm disappointed in you yet again Grayfia, strongest queen. Pft. What a joke.

Sirzechs heard his remark and charged at him after he was done taking out the clones, Issei got up and charged at him while boosting his power, with Sirzechs helping then he has a better chance. Eventually all the clones were destroyed by everyone there and they too joined the fray, Euclid realized that he was in trouble, they may have been worn out but they still have the will to fight, they aren't as weak as he thought, the number of people with such power and abilities including sacred gear users was being troublesome for him but he still had another plan.

Euclid: as embarrassing as this is I know I might lose but tell me, who will you choose? Killing me or the human world? They don't know about the supernatural yet but they will or at least those who MIGHT survive will.

The screen changed again and now everyone could see nearly every country under attack. Cities being eradicated, people being attacked and even eaten. Men, women and children all running but in vain. Footage from every location under attack was being broadcast live, the US, U.K, Asia, Africa even Japan including..... Kuoh.

Death and destruction everywhere, they stopped this from happening after defeating the beast but it seems they only delayed the inevitable. All the armed forces were fighting back, those clones which were in large groups flying high in the sky fired longinus smashers in unison straight into the ocean, it created massive tidal waves that were destroying anything they could in their path. In mere moments millions were dead.

Everyone including those in the Gremory household looked at the carnage unfolding before their very eyes, this was Euclid's plan from the very beginning. If the beast couldn't then he will.

Euclid: NOW I can really enjoy the show. Oh an red dragon in the 14 years of torture I also had some fun with your wife. Bye now.

He created a portal.

Issei went berserk and flew at imperceptible speeds straight at Euclid ready to make him suffer for everything. He was releasing an aura unlike anything he or anyone else for that matter ever did, even gods didn't match up to the power he was releasing right now. He kicked Euclid in the ribs and turned them into dust but some shards of bone punctured his lungs, Euclid despite having internal bleeding and coughing up blood, he smiled.

Euclid: Yes yes YES WHERE WERE YOU DURING THE WAR? SUCH POWER, SUCH RAGE. I EUCLID DECLARE YOU THE STRONGEST!!

He laughed while Issei was going berserk on him however Euclid added regeneration into his enhancements. Strengths, speed, magic reserves were the others. Everyone else tried to fight Kuroka. Issei was starting to grow in size and entered the juggernaut drive.....no the juggernaut overdrive is a more suited title for his current state. He surpassed the juggernaut drive years ago but right now he's going above and beyond, he was as big as the golem rook in Sairorg's team but his power was now slowly reaching 1/10th of great red. He and Euclid were going all out, he managed to defend himself against Issei's attacks but when Issei started to boost his power again and again, Euclid was getting over powered. His shields would crack then break, Issei's punch carried the air around it and turned it into a wind cannon followed by the actual punch, not even Sairorg at his very best can live if he got hit. Euclid wasn't done yet, he too would deal a good amount of damage on Issei. Breaking his armour only to see it get repaired just as fast as his regeneration. Those two were almost equally match and hell-bent on wiping each other out of existence.

Vali saw Issei surpass his limits before but this.....this isn't right. He was about to help him but he was stopped by the others.

Akeno: Vali stop! That isn't a fight between a devil and a dragon.

Arthur: it's a fight between monsters......

Gasper: and we have our fight. We need to help her.

He gestured to Kuroka who was still fighting the others.

Vali: damn it. FENRIR!!!

Vali summoned Fenrir and being the giant wold capable of slaying gods according to mythology instantly knew it's opponent, Fenrir started attacking Kuroka but the odds were not in its favour, Fenrir may be resistant to magic but these flames covering it's opponent were that of sage magic, it was different entirely and were hurting him, any injuries caused by it's fangs healed, Vali tried to use divine dividing but it was futile, she draws her power from the natural energy of the universe so to Vali it was limitless energy and you can't divide that. They all tried to wear her down, freeze her, bind her, attack her but nothing worked. Suddenly from Kuroka's body erupted red and blue spheres and floated in the air, everyone backed away and avoided being touched by those.

La Fey: what are those?

Koneko was sweating bullets and was hyperventilating.

Koneko: EVERYONE, CREATE AS MANY BARRIERS AS YOU CAN AND REDIRECT THE INCOMING ATTACK UPWARDS. DON'T TRY TO BLOCK IT OR WE'RE DEAD!!!

Never has she raised her voice or barked out an order and that was all the reason they needed. Rossweisse, Irina, Rias, Sirzechs, la Fey, Akeno, Baraqiel, Gasper, Asia and Grayfia created the most powerful barriers they could and angled it upwards. The red and blue spheres merged together  into a large purple ball. Then it compressed and each time it did it was denser than before, it almost had its own gravity and then Kuroka ate it once it was strong enough.

Everyone was confused at first until suddenly Kuroka's body started to swell until she looked like she would explode. She opened her mouth and first a white energy ball which burned the air around it, it fired like a rail gun projectile easily reaching Mach 7, it hit the barrier and continued to destroy them one by one until it reached the last one, cracks appeared on it and seconds before breaking the energy shot went straight up with only slightly diminished speed and hit the sky, it exploded and released a light so bright it felt as if the sun itself was just above them. For a minute or two the underworld had a sun and everyone saw the bright light, even the clones in the city were blinded by it, once it died down a super powerful shockwave hit everything for miles and miles, the windows in the city were turned to dust, buildings collapsed, the 5.9 magnitude earthquake was caused by the shockwave. Euclid was far too proud of this.
