An Au where after dying, Shen Jiu reincarnates as Tomioka Tsukato.

At first she had no memories of her past life but as she grew up, she dreamed about her past life(it worried her parents that their daughter had nightmares every night but thankfully they stopped when Tsukato turned 10) but while those memories influenced her, she was also Tsukato who was raised by loving parents and had an adorable baby brother.

So Tsukato became a mix of the her past as Shen Jiu and of her present as Tsukato so she was strong to protect her family especially Giyuu after their parents died suddenly due to an illness.

She did her best to get money and raise Giyuu but is seemed that the best way to guarantee a good life for them was for Tsukato to marry which she didn't believe to be ready for until she met her fiancé(that has no relation to Yue because I just don't feel confortable with that ship so I prefer to avoid it), a kind young man that respected her and no matter the tests she did(to confirm that he wouldn't suddenly change after they got married) he never hurt her or Giyuu.

Tsukato and him got engaged but the day before their wedding, as the couple was returning home to Giyuu they saw a demon enter the house.

Oh, her fiancé had no idea what that creature was but Tsukato felt that the creature had a similar energy to the demons from her previous life so she grabbed something as a weapon and run to make sure she wouldn't lose her baby brother.

When the fiancé was out of his fear and shock, he run inside the house just to be greeted by the view of Tsukato killing the demon(using what could be considered a breathing style in her new life but the normal thing in her previous life) and then turning to Giyuu to make sure he wasn't hurt.

The fiancé knew that if anyone in the village saw the house, they would condemn the two siblings so he told Tsukato to pack their things as they needed to leave before the villages woke up.

Tsukato looked at her fiancé before nodding and do as he said while said fiancé went to the back and killed the few animals they had there and took their blood and splashed it around the house to make it seem like someone entered the house and killed them(leaving behind the dead animals' bodies but taking the human ones).

The trio left the village behind two hours before the sun was to rise and the villagers never saw them again.

They travelled for a few weeks, trying to do minor jobs to get money but one day they were caught in a snow storm and were saved by a old man and his student(Urokodaki and Sabito) with him they ended up learning about the demons, breathing styles and all that.

With the information given, Tsukato compared how different things were from her past life but there were still similarities.

In the end the trio decided to stay with Urokodaki as Giyuu wished to train under him so the other two would do it too(Tsukato and her fiancé ended up creating a two new breathing styles that fit them with Tsukato's being based on something from her life as Shen Jiu).

Things follow canon until the Final Selection(just with adding the Tsukato and her fiancé there instead of just Giyuu) were Sabito doesn't die as Tsukato kills the Hand Demon before Sabito could lose his head.

Surprisingly the group of four quickly raised up in ranks at basically the same time and soon they were all offered to become hashiras(with Giyuu and Sabito being asked to be the Twin Water Hashiras).

While Sabito wanted to immediately accept it, the Tomioka family(Tsukato and her fiancé did end up getting married after they Final Selection and the fiancé took Tsukato's last name) wasn't completely sure so they rejected it the first and second time btu ended up accepting after they were asked the firs time(similar in canon on how Giyuu rejected the position before he finally ended up accepting it).

Imagine Uzui, Gyomei and Kanae's surprise when in one day they were informed they get 5 new companions(so they joined at the same time as Sanemi...who would probably remind Tsukato of Liui Qingge).

The relationship between the hashiras(including the ones that will join later, and yes here they would have more then 9 hashiras just because unless you want the other to be hashiras to end up as only tsuguko's of the other hashiras...I believe Tsukato would get along well with Obanai has they are somewhat similar but while Shen Jiu got comfort in women, Obanai does in men as the ones who hurt them the most was the opposite gender) is up to the writer but there won't be that many misunderstandings(Shen Jiu had enough of those in his past life).

Things would go on and when Giyuu met the Kamado siblings he informed the master and other hashiras before sending them to Urokodaki after a very lengthy meeting were Sanemi confirmed much earlier if Nezuko would fail at not eating a human or not(I choose this because I want it to be Nezuko's will only that makes her resist and not have Urokodaki's hypnosis have influence in it).

How anything else goes from here, including the final battle and who lives, is up to the writer but it would be funny that everyone from Tsukato's previous life and travelled back in time and found out that Shen Jiu didn't exist anymore so they looked for him everywhere until Luo Binghe found out that Shen Jiu was reincarnated in another world so they went to get him back only to be shocked to see Shen Jiu's new life and the people around him(who were ready to send them all to hell for trying to steal Tsukato).
