An Au where little Og Cale liked to go on adventures alone and somehow got inside a part of the Forest of Darkness and met a dragon.

At first the dragon simply glared at Cale and told him to go away but Cale was stubborn so he visited the dragon as often as he could and slowly the dragon started welcoming Cale and grow close to him.

Who is the dragon that Cale met? It can be who the bone dragon was before dying, Olienne or a random dragon(not one of the others because they wouldn't really make sense to be there...well maybe Rasheel would).

There is two ways this idea can go:

First one- Cale still starts his act as trash but when everyone thinks he is out drinking he is actually visiting the dragon but a few months before Cale meets Choi Han, the dragon informs Cale he needs to go on a trip so Cale shouldn't come to their meeting place. Unfortunately the dragon is found by ARM and killed so things end up following TBOAH canon and later TCF canon except that when KRS!Cale go to the Forest of Darkness with the Whales they meet the spirit of the dragon that Cale befriend(who would recognize that KRS!Cale is not Og Cale). Anything else would be up to the writer including if the dragon and Og Cale ever met again.

Second one- Cale loses Jour(he meets the dragon before she dies) and when Deruth basically abandones him, Cale believes he wasn't loved by his father and runs away without the Molan duo noticing. He grabs everything he knows he needs to survive plus a few objects that important to him or connect him to Jour and goes to the dragon. You can guess the dragon isn't happy when he is told about why Cale run away but he still welcomes him and protects him from the creatures of the forest. As the years pass, the dragon notices that he and Cale formed a bond that hasn't been heard of in more then 2000 years which is the bond of a dragon and his rider. The dragon starts training Cale has if any kingdom finds out about him being a rider and their bond they would try to take him and manipulate him. Cale doesn't stay always in the forest, he has the dragon disguise him and travels to different places but keeps away from the Rain City so he ends up hearing about the Alliance plans to attack Rain City and while he does not have a relationship with anyone there, he still cherishes the city and most of their people so he talks with the dragon and they decided to save the Henituse territory. Anything else would be up to the writer but I had the idea that the dragon would stay in his dragon form most of the time and the first time he would take his human form would be when the fight in the Henituse territory ends and Deruth plus others approach Cale to question where he had been all this time, how did he meet a dragon and all that.
