4(Shadowhunters)

An Au where Malec are single parents of the whole New York downworld and shadowhunters.

Like, Alec has basically been the HOTI(Head of the Institute) since he was like 16/17 and even before that he always took well care of his people/fellow shadowhunters so most of them started to see him as somewhat of a parental figure with some even calling him dad behind his back or accidentally calling him that in front of Alec.

And Magnus acting like he doesn't really care about most people but he takes care of any 'kid' he finds from the downworld that needs help so behind his back he gains the title of 'Downworld's Papa' or something like that and the only one officially known as his kid is Raphael but that is because Raphael is possessive of his papa and wanted to be his first official known child.

I imagine that when Malec meets, their children immediately see that they are attracted to each other but are divided in happy to see them falling for someone and not liking that their parent is falling for a shadowhunter/warlock.

Of course that some of those kids didn't lose time in trying to get to know their maybe future step-parent and decide that they should play matchmakes.

It would be even funnier if Malec got together without them knowing and observed their kids have fun trying to get them together.

This is mostly the fault of a cute fic I read where almost everyone considers Alec their father and as he and Magnus get together, they start calling Magnus' papa(what I love the most about this fic is Clary just deciding to offer herself as a surrogate for Malec and how the kids love to eavesdrop on them xD)
