Wednesday sat in a criss cross position with different candles circling around her more like a seance I sat on my bed watching and wondering what would happen

I continued to watch Wednesday when all of a sudden the door to the dorm open and all the candles went out

Enid appeared "so I didn't mean to ruin your- uh, do I even want to know?" Enid said

"She was reaching into the black maw of death to contact one of our relatives" I answered for Wednesday

I hear small footsteps outside of our door I thought they would just pass but a note was slide underneath our door

I walk over to the note and pick it up

"Fire will rain.. when I rise" Wednesday says I heard that before "was that written in fire on the grass" I say as I turn to her

After Wednesday told me about her vision she started drawing the gate she saw the gate goody told her to seek

Enid walks up to us "don't blame thing the party was my idea I believe everyone deserves to be celebrated on their birthdays"

"Enid it's okay to me least we don't celebrate birthdays like that at home we celebrate them differently" I told Enid "I prefer to be vilified" Wednesday said coldly

"What happened it look like you were having a seizure and y/n what happened Xavier said your head was hurting" Enid said

"I wish I was that lucky" Wednesday said "can I at least get some kudos for pulling one over on you?" Enid said with her hands behind her back

"You guys have to stop saying things in sync it's kinda creepy" Enid looked at me "it's a twin thing" I said with a shrug

Thing pulls out a box underneath Wednesday bed she walks over while I sit on a coach we have in the dorm

"What is it exactly" I asked " it's a snood silly" Enid said as if we were dumb maybe because we've never seen one "I made it in y'all's signature colors and you want to know what the best part is? I have one too" she said excitedly as she pulled her pink "snood" out

"We can all match and wear them together to class" Enid said putting hers on " oh, Enid this is far to unique to wear to something like class I suggest we wait for a more special occasion like a funeral" Enid smiled dropped after hearing Wednesday say that

"Oh"~~~~~~Wednesday and I stood looking at the words burned into the grass "fire will rain" Xavier stands beside me as I look towards him with a small smile

Thing walks around the shack Xavier points at a drawing on the wall he sits down "when did you draw this?" I ask him " a couple days ago I started having those dreams again like before" he says as he looks at me

I turn to him "why didn't you tell me... was the monster in them?" I ask as I play with the ends of his hair

"No but I could feel it in the shadows" he said sinking into my touch "it's like the monster was lurking into my mind" Xavier looks down at his feet "do you know where this is?" Wednesday asks him examining the picture "we it's the old gates mansion I pass it when I go running why?" He says as he looks back up Wednesday and I look at each other

Thing snaps twice as we all look over a cover was taken off of a canvas the photo was me. It was me at the rave'n sanding while the red paint was pouring over everyone I looked so at peace

My mouth opens I look at Xavier and back to the painting "Xavier this is gorgeous" he sits and then gets up " it's your birthday gift I wasn't done because I didn't know how you would react to it" he brings his hand out as the droplets of paint began to move as a small smile appears on my face

I turn towards him and look up at him " this is the only time you will hear me say this I love it" I says as I smile " happy birthday" Xavier says Wednesday walks out of the room as I continue watching the painting move ~~~~~~~Wednesday and I made it to the gates mansion

Thing hops onto a tree as the mayor is on a call with the sheriff Wednesday and I quickly hop into the mayors truck of his suv

The mayor parks across the street from the weathervane as Wednesday and I pick our heads up as he's walking a blue car out of nowhere hits mayor walker leaving him on the floor

Wednesday and I look at each other when the notice the car didn't have a license plate Wednesday got out and so did I while she walked up to the mayor body on the floor the sheriff was looking right at her I stood back at the car

It's like she wants to get in trouble

The sheriff took Wednesday inside the weathervane while I stood hidden outside waiting

Wednesday comes back as we catch a ride back to nevermore she was of course needed in the principals office I had "nothing" to do with but but my mind had some many raging thoughts that's I need to get out ~~~

I knocked on Xavier's door he had just gotten out of the shower he opens the door shocked to see me "what are you doing here?" He ask as he lets me inside making sure no one saw I walk over to his bed and sit down

" I need to clear my mind so I came here" I said softly looking up at him as he walked over to sit down beside me

"Even tho I just took a shower I know a lake nearby where we could go are you up for it?" He asked me I nodded quickly wanting to get some fresh air as he grabbed my hand and we made it out of nevermore

We arrived at a lake with a dock in the middle we went to sit down I took off my shoes and socks luckily I was wearing a skirt and I dipped my feet in "so what's on your mind" Xavier asked me looking out into the ski

"Everything" I said with a light chuckle " this case every thing is just adding and adding but none of it is making sense and Wednesday just keeps on getting herself into trouble her mind is all over the place which mind too and with our ancestors and the visions and dreams it's like my head is going to explode" I said looking at him

"I understand it's like you want to have a simple answer to everything but you can't because life isn't that easy" Xavier replied to me I nodded and thought of something

"Wanna take a swim?" I asked before he could answer I pushed him into the lake laughing as he came up from the water he pulled my foot in as my head went underneath the water and back up all I could do was smile "oh how I needed this Wednesday doesn't know how to swim so he never went to pools or anything" I said swimming on my back

" are you glad I brought you?"

"Definitely"

Xavier swam towards me as I got off my back he wrapped his arms around my torso as k wrapped my arms around his neck as we floated in the water staying there and just enjoying each others touch I backed away from his neck and looked at him in the eyes playing with his hair

"I know we hang out a lot and have confessed our feelings but I've never asked you would you like to go on a date with me?" Xavier ask as I smile at him and nod

"I've been waiting it's like I have the pants in this relationship" we laughed and stared at each other
