Chapter 16

Yoko

"Friday is finally here!" Ink exclaimed excitedly as I walked into class and slid into the seat beside her. Her eyes sparkled with anticipation. "We're going to have so much fun tonight!"

I smirked, sharing her enthusiasm. "Yeah, I can't wait. I could definitely use a drink or two."Β

My mind wandered briefly to Fayeβ€”our moments together after class, the way she made my heart race. Just the thought of her sent a warm flutter through me.

This week had felt surreal, like floating on air. Everything I'd dreamed of was now unfolding in reality. Today marked a milestone: our first time spending extended class hours together, our connection now deepened by an unspoken understanding.

"Oh, and next week is the school festival! You're coming, right?" Ink's playful wink brought me back, reminding me of the carnival-themed event our school hosted thrice a year.

"Of course. I just need to figure out what to wear..." My voice trailed off as I pictured the lively atmosphere, wondering about the perfect outfit for such an occasion.

Ink tilted her head cheerfully. "Well, Marissa and I are digging through our closets on Monday after class. Want to join us?"

"Absolutely!" I replied eagerly, already looking forward to it.

Before long, class began, the familiar routine unfolding. I tried my best to focus during English Lit, but my attention kept drifting. It was hard not to, especially with Faye moving gracefully around the room. Every word she spoke, every subtle gesture, captivated me.

The final bell echoed through the halls, a sweet signal that the day was finally over. With a confident stride, I made my way to Faye's classroom, shutting the door behind me and ensuring it was locked. A familiar thrill ran through meβ€”our private world, untouched by the outside.

"Hey, you," she greeted, her smile warm and intimate, reserved only for me. That smile, so radiant and inviting, made my heart flutter every time. These stolen moments felt like magic, a sanctuary where nothing else mattered.

"Hey," I replied, matching her smile as she closed the distance between us. "So, what's on the lesson plan today?"

She tilted her head, a playful glint in her eyes. "Hmm... We're going to continue working on your writing, of course."

I groaned dramatically, drawing a chuckle from her. "Writing again? Really?"

"Don't pout," she teased, guiding me to an empty desk. "You know it's for your own good."

Reluctantly, I pulled out my previous assignment, hoping that finishing quickly would leave us some precious time together afterward.Β

She settled beside me, her focus shifting seamlessly into teacher mode. As we reviewed my work, she explained things with her usual grace and insight, her voice calm yet commanding. Her eyes held mine often, making it hard to concentrate on anything but her presence.

Occasional brushes of our hands sent electric jolts through me, an unspoken tension simmering beneath the surface. I tried to stay focused, but the buzz in my mind was hard to ignore.

Patience, I reminded myself.

Finally, we reached the end. She glanced over the last paragraph, her smile widening. "Good work. You've really improved. At this rate, those tests won't stand a chance."

I leaned back, feeling the weight of the lesson lift, my eyes meeting hers with a mix of relief and anticipation. "So... Does that mean I get a reward?"

Her smile turned mischievous, and my heart raced, already imagining what that reward might be.

"Sure," she whispered, her voice low and charged with promise. She leaned in, closing the space between us until her warm, soft lips brushed mine. The kiss started tender, a gentle exploration, but quickly ignited into something more.

Her hands moved with deliberate slowness, trailing along my back, fingers tracing patterns through the fabric of my shirt. Heat radiated from her touch, sending shivers down my spine.

One hand found its way to my waist, pulling me closer, while the other cradled the back of my head, guiding me deeper into the kiss. My lips parted instinctively, welcoming the warmth of her tongue as it danced with mine.

Tilting my head, I offered her more, my hands sliding up to rest around her shoulders. Every brush of our bodies, every shift, intensified the crackling tension between usβ€”an unspoken need simmering just beneath the surface. We both knew what we wanted, the desire undeniable, but the setting forced restraint, adding a tantalising edge to the moment.

When we finally broke apart, our foreheads rested against each other, our breaths mingling in the small space between us. Faye's voice was a husky whisper, heavy with longing. "God, Yoko... I really want you."

I chuckled softly, teasing, "But you'll have to wait. I'm going out with my friends tonight..."

She groaned, a low, frustrated sound that made my heart race. "Oh, that's going to be torture."

Before I could respond, she silenced me with another kissβ€”this one deeper, more fervent, filled with an urgency that left me breathless.Β

Her lips left mine, trailing a hot path along my jawline to my ear, where she nibbled gently. A soft moan escaped me, involuntary and full of desire. Her mouth moved lower, kissing down my neck, and then her teeth sank in just enough to leave a mark as I let out a soft moan, the sharpness of it sending a wave of heat through my body.

She pulled back slightly, her eyes dark with possessive intensity. "You're mine," she whispered, her voice both a declaration and a promise. "Even if you're going out tonight."

I leaned in, pressing a soft kiss to her lips. "I'm yours. Always," I assured her, my fingers tracing the contours of her cheek, trying to convey everything I felt with that touch.

She smiled, a mix of satisfaction and longing. "I'll see you this weekend?" It was half-question, half-plea, her eyes searching mine.

"Absolutely," I promised, my voice soft. "Just a little longer."

She hugged me tightly, the warmth of her body searing into mine. "I can't wait." As she released me, she added, "Go on, have fun tonight."

I nodded, gathering my things with a reluctant smile. Walking to my car, I couldn't resist pulling down the visor mirror. I glanced at the hickey on my neckβ€”a mark of her possessiveness, a reminder of our connection.

A smile played on my lips as I traced the spot with my fingers. Possessive, indeed.

Delighted by the lingering heat, I snapped the mirror shut and started the engine, her touch still burning on my skin.
