Chapter 10

It’s been now a week since Alexis and I didn’t talk, or just text, to each other. I don’t even know where she is. I’m worried about her, it’s all my fault. I think she’s with her dad, or maybe with Tyler. She’s really angry against me, because usually, when we fight, she calls me and we apologize. But now, it’s not the same. She leaves and left me no sign of life. Niall proposed me to spend few days at his flat, but I said no, just in case that Alexis come back at home. 

” Babe, she’ll call you. You need to stop worrying about this. ” Niall says, trying to reassure me.

” No, because it’s not like usually. If I stay with you for few days and she come back when i’m at your flat, she’ll be even more angry. Because i’m sure she thinks you’re taking her place. ”

” She wouldn’t think that, love. You need to relax and have fun. ”

” Have fun?! Have fun, Niall?! Seriously! I’m losing my best friend and you tell me that I need to relax and have fun?! ” I shout, letting all my tears fall down on my face.

” Sorry. I didn’t think you’d take it like that, I just want to help you. Please don’t cry, I hate to see tears on your beautiful face. ” He apologizes, softly.

Niall is so sweet and understandable. I just shout at him, and he apologized! I love him so much.

” No, i’m sorry. I, I just shout at you. ” I stutter. ” How can you stay so sweet all the time? ” I ask him. 

” I’m like this just with you, because I can’t be impatient with you. I try to understand your feels, and I know that if I was losing my best friend, I would act like you do. ” He answers, pulling me closer to him. 

I sit on his lap and put my head on the place between his neck and his chest, and close my eyes. Niall puts his arms around me and softly plays with my hair. He kisses my forehead and I look at his beautiful blue eyes that give me shivers.

” What would I do if you weren’t here?! ” I say, our faces so close to his. 

He look at my lips, then in my eyes. 

” Correction: What would I do if you weren’t here?! ” He replies.

I smile at what he just said and watch him looking at my lips, while he bites his. 

” You want to kiss me, don’t you? ” 

He looks back at my eyes. 

” You-, you saw me? ”

” Yeah! ” I answer, laughing at his cheeks turning red.

” Stop laughing! ” He says, joining in my laughter.

I look at him and take his face in my hands, pulling our faces closer. 

” I love you, Niall ” I say, kissing him. 

Every time we kiss, it feels magic. As if we were the only persons in the world, as if it would never stop. But my phone rings, forcing us to stop. 

” Hello? ” I answer.

” Hey. Where are you? ” A familiar female voice asks me.

” Alexis?! I was worried about you! Where were you? ”

” I’m coming back at home. But if you’re there and your blond Irish is there too, tell him to leave please. ”

” Okay, see you soon. ”

She hangs up. I can’t believe she just said that. Alexis called Niall blond Irish. Yes, he’s blond and Irish. But it sounds mean, the way she said that. 

” Niall, you’ll have to leave. Alexis is coming… and she don’t want you to be there… ” I say, not sure of what his reaction will be.

” But… Okay. ” He answers.

We stood up and he pecks me on the lips before he leaves. Two minutes later, Alexis get in… wearing black clothes, black makeup. She even dyed her hair black. 

” Hey. ”  

” What happened to you? ” I ask her, shocked.

” I just changed my style. ” She answers, with no emotions in her voice.

” But you always hated black! ”

” Things changes, Avery. ” 

” Yes, but not that fast. And your style isn’t the only thing that changed with you. There’s no emotions in your voice and in your face. That’s not normal. ”

” I have the right to be who I am! ” She shouts.

” Okay. But I have the right to love who I want. If Tyler can come here then Niall can too. ” I reply.

” Do you see Tyler? No. So Niall don’t have to be here. ” 

” It’s my flat too, Alexis. I have the right to invite who I want to. You can invite Tyler when you want to, so I don’t see why Niall couldn’t. It’s not because you’re not with Harry anymore that the other lads can’t come here. ”

” Whatever. ” Alexis whispers, walking to her room as I call Niall. 

” Hey babe. Are you far? Because you can come back. ” I say.

” No, i’m in my car, in your parking. I’ll be there in two. ” He answers.

” No! Wait. Can we go somewhere else than here, please? ” I beg him.

” Sure. I’m waiting you here. ” He says, hanging up.

I walk to my room and I pack a bag with clothes for few days. I let a note for Alexis on the table, saying i’m going to stay at Niall’s flat for about a week. I leave our apartment and take the elevator, then I walk to Niall’s car.

” Why did you take your bag? ” He asks me.

” Can I stay with you? Just for a week, please babe?  ” 

” Yeah, sure. So, where are we going? ” Niall asks me, putting my bag on the back benches. 

” We can just go for a walk in the park? ” I propose. 

He nods and drives to a beautiful park. There’s not so much of people, so we can relax and spend time together.
