Chapter 20

Today was the day. I said goodbye to Beans for the last time. The hospital were keeping me under supervision for a month and then I was allowed to go home but keep coming back however long to keep getting it.

The boys left 3 days ago, which meant I would get to see them in another 4 days. My mum was waiting by my bed with Dav. They've been really supportive recently which was nice.

Anyways I message the group chat I was on with all the boys to tell them I was having my first Chemotherapy now. I then put my phone on the side.

Me and my oncologist have gotten quite close recently. She is the one who is helping me through the cancer and everything. Her name was Chloe and she was a really lovely person.

Chloe: Are you ready?

I nod and sit back in the bed. She sets me up to the wires and everything else. Now I just wait.

Mum: You're going to be okay honey.

Me: Mum I know. I'm strong I can fight this.

Mum: So you're not even worried one bit?

Me: Nope. I'm taking it like a pro.

I lied, I was actually shitting it. I'm so scared but I need to be brave for mum and the boys and especially Beans.

Me: Hey Chloe can I put some music on?

Chloe: Of course, who do you wanna listen to?

Me: Billie Ellish. She seems like the right mood right now.

She gets out her phone and puts it on load. I sit back and look up to the ceiling, listening to the music.

A while later it was finished. Chloe unwires me and I take a big breath. I go to grab my phone before my mum grabs it off me.

Mum: You need to rest. Isn't that right Chloe.

Chloe: Yes, it's best for today that you don't have any electronics. I'll give them back to you tomorrow.

Me: No! You can't! I need it! I need to listen to music. Please!

Mum: Sorry honey. You need rest.

She says as she walks out the room. Leaving me on my own.

Me: FUCK YOU THEN!

Fuck sake I just wanted to listen to a bit of music but noooo. This was an absolute piss take. I lower my bed and lie down. There was nothing for me to do so I like look out the window and watch everything going by.

I must have nodded off to sleep because I woke up to the sound of someone walking in my room. I turn around to see it was Chloe.

Me: Chloeeeee!

I held my arms out for her to hug me which she does.

Chloe: I came to give you your phone back, just for a minute to message the boys.

Me: Thank you thank you thank you!

She passes me my phone and I see endless messages from the boys.

Simon: Good luck

Josh: We will see you ASAP!

Vik: You're gonna take this like a pro!

Me: Hey guys.

Ethan: Heyyyyy how did it go?

Me: It actually went really well. I'll see you guys later I need some rest.

They all say bye to me and I give my phone back to Chloe.

Chloe: What do you want to eat?

Me: I'm not really that hungry to be honest.

Chloe: Well you gotta eat. Pizza sound good?

Me: Yeah go on then. Thank you Chloe.

The next few days are going to be so boring without the guys. I guess I could watch their videos. I used to watch them sometimes when Garry, my kidnapper, fell asleep so I put youtube on the tv and watched them.

Chloe comes back with a pizza. It was just a plain margarita pizza. I thank her and she walks out.

I only managed to eat 2 slices as I really wasn't that hungry so I decided to get up and go for a shower.

I finish my shower and go back into my room to find someone who I thought I'd never see again.

Me: What the fuck are you doing here?

Laura: You took my boyfriend from me.

Me: How did I. I don't even like him, I like Ethan.

I lied. I don't know who I like more. Ethan has always been there for me but there's just something with Simon that I've never felt before.

Laura: So why are you still in here?

Me: Why should I tell you? Can you just leave please.

Laura: I just want to make sure you ain't gonna be fucking Simon.

Me: Haha that won't happen any time soon.

Laura: Why?

Me: Cancer.

Laura: Ohhh so you're going to be bald which will make you ugly which means Simon won't like you.

Me: Excuse me?

Laura: You know. You're gonna lose hair.

Just then Chloe comes in. Chloe to the rescue.

Chloe: Everything alright girls.

Me: Can you get her out please.

Laura just looks at me and smiles before walking out the room.

Chloe: What was that about?

Me: She's one of the boys ex girlfriends and he likes me but...

Chloe: You like him as well?

Me: I don't know.

Chloe: I think the black ones good looking.

Me: Who? Tobi or JJ?

Chloe: The hyper one.

Me: Ohhhh JJ. Some say he's made of money

I wink at her and she laughs.

Chloe: So which one do you like then?

Me: Well I don't know. I like Simon, the lanky one but I also like Ethan the muscley one that wears gym shark all the time.

Chloe: Ohhhhh. They're cute.

Me: Yeah I know. Then we have Vik he's super kind. He's like my step brother. His dad and my mum are together.

Chloe: So you two get along?

Me: Yeah. We're pretty close and everything.

Chloe: Aww that's cute. Anyways I gotta get back to helping another patient. I'll see you tomorrow okay.

Me: Okay Chloe. Thank you.

She walks out and I eat one more slice of pizza before turning my light and heading off to sleep.
