Chapter 6

---Severide's POV---

When Quinn blacks out Mills yells, "How much longer till Chicago Med?" "

2 minutes." Brett replies.

He tells her to floor it as I immediately feel us speed up. When we arrive we rush in and they transfer her to a hospital bed. Then the immediately start running towards the x-ray room. I follow them there, and just as soon as they get her in there they're wheeling her out. I follow them to an operating room where they immediately start prepping for surgery. As I watch a nurse comes out and says, "Are you her boyfriend?"

"Lieutenant."

"That's good enough for me. Anyway, the x-rays showed that most of her ribs are cracked and both of her lungs are punctured. She's suffering from major blood loss because she's bleeding internally. Quite heavily, might I add. That's what she went unconscious."

"Will she be alright?"

"Yes of course, but only if we can get her a blood transfusion. She's O Positive, and of course that's the only type we're short on. We won't be able to help her all that well unless we can get some blood, and fast."

"I'm O Positive. I'll defiantly donate, and I think a few others from the firehouse can and will."

She nods as we begin our jog to the waiting room. When we arrive I say, "I'll explain later, but if you're O Positive, willing, and able to donate blood to Quinn please come with us."

Casey, Brett, Capp, Otis, Mouch, Toni, and Boedan all jump up. We all follow the nurse to a room where a few other nurses help get us ready. Soon we've all donated blood and it is whisked away to help Quinn. Then we go back to the waiting area where I tell everyone what's happened.

Now all we can do is wait.

Sorry I haven't updated in awhile but I'm going through a tough time right now, so I needed a little break. But now I'm back and feeling a bit better!
