i'll never hurt you

08:48, 1 June 2021

Hawk and I have been dating for quite a while. I actually started dating him before he was "The Hawk." But something seems off, he always ignores me when I try to help and has anger issues. We barely talk and when we do it always turns into a fight. I think I should break up with him, but I don't know.

"Hey babe!" I said to Hawk.

"Don't call me that in public, go away," he said coldly slamming his locker pushing me purposely with his shoulder.

The feeling made me sad, but I knew deep down he still has a soft spot for me. I guess I'll continue my day.

AFTER SCHOOL:

When I arrive home I debate on wether or not I should text Hawk or not. If I did texted him, he'd most likely ignore me, and if I didn't, things from there will gradually get worse. I'll text him.

Y/n: Hey, can we talk?

2 minutes pass

Hawk: no

First of all he said no, and surprisingly he answered quickly. That's a first.

Y/n: Please. This is important.

Hawk: Just text me like we're doing

Y/n: This situation is best in person. It won't take that long.

Hawk: ok, where do you want to meet?

Y/n: Let's meet in front of the dojo.

Hawk: k.

Even his texting is dry. I hope I'm making the right decision.

At the dojo:

I was standing in the cold waiting for Hawk to arrive. Who am I kidding, I'm a dumbo for thinking he'd actually come. He's probably off somewhere kicking an innocent persons ass, or creating more beef with Myagi-Do than there already is. Until...

"You wanted to talk," his voice came behind me.

"H-hi," I say stuttering, shaking from the cold air.

"Are you okay?" He asks.

"Yeah just a little cold, didn't bring a jacket."

He then takes off his sweatshirt and hands it to me.

"Here, put it on."

"That wouldn't be necessary," I say denying the offer.

"No you should."

I sigh.

"Hawk or Eli, I don't know. Things haven't been going, easy between us."

"What's that supposed to mean?"

Here goes nothing.

"I feel like we should... break up."

I see his eyes extend, his face turns from a shocking emotion to anger.

"Wow. After everything I've done to you, you're just gonna leave me like that?" He says coming closer to me clenching his fists.

"Look at yoursel-"

"No no don't blame this all on me. You're the one who is always being clingy and wanting attention, do you not see that I have a life too?!"

"Eli plea-"

"DON'T CALL ME THAT!" He says loudly.

I flinch. Tears started to well in my eyes.

"Y/n... you know I'd never hurt you."

"Forget it. Isn't it obvious that you don't love me anymore? It's not that you've changed your appearance, I have no problem with that. The main reason on why I think we should split up is the way you act towards me. Your attitude is not it. No more notes in the locker, no more pet names, no more checking up on me, no more meeting up, no more talking, just beating up kids and karate. We are literally spending this whole relationship distanced ever since you "flipped the script." How would I know you would hit me or not??

"I-"

"I'm leaving," I turn around and began heading home, until he gets a grip of my hand and twirls me around. Now he has his hands on my waist, and mine around his neck. Direct contact within the eye. He continues to stare at me, then his eyes slowly move down to my lips. He looks back at me again, tightens his grip of my waist and says,

"I love you, and I am so sorry for everything."

He then looks at my lips again and slowly leaned towards me making our lips connect. From my memory, his kisses were soft and angelic. Our motion always collided perfectly, it was amazing. They mostly lasted couple of seconds, but not with this one. Usually, the most passionate ones are long and this was definitely one of those. After which felt like forever, we both pull away.

"Y/n, you've made me realized how much of an asshole I've been towards you and the thought of it makes me feel so guilty. Ever since the whole Karate drama, I haven't been paying close attention to you and forgot how much you meant to me. I am very sorry, please forgive me baby."

It took me a moment to see if he actually meant what he said. I look into his ocean blue eyes and saw that they were full of guilt and melancholy. Though the way he acted before he tormented me, I just couldn't resist this hot man.

I lean in to him again and deliver another soft passionate kiss on his lips.

"Of course I forgive you, Eli. Just please don't act like that ever again." I say with my arms wrapped around him.

"I promise. I'll never hurt you."
