Mrs. Shin: You guys know each other?

Hana: Uh.. we go to school together.

Mr. Shin: Oh that's right.

If shes this mans daughter. Then that means.. my dads best friend's with the head administrator?! Aigo!

Mom: Oh then our Jin will have an even more splendid time! Jin, you never told me about your lovely friend here.

Hana blushed.

This couldn't have gotten any more.. ugh!

Dad: Wow she's so grown up. I remember when she was just a toddler.

Mrs. Shin: Oh our Hana has made us proud throughout the years. Do you guys have class together by any chance?

I nodded. "Yes mam.. we do."

I looked away from Hana's gaze.

Betsy: You're so pretty unnie!

Hana: Aww~ who do we have here?

Betsy: I'm Betsy!

Hana: *giggles* Hi Betsy! I'm Hana, you're so cute.

I lightly smiled, you're just as cute Hana.

Mom: Do you mind showing us to our guest rooms?

Mrs. Shin: Oh! Of course. Silly me. Hehe come I'll show you. Hana? Do you mind showing Jin and Betsy where they'll be staying?

Hana nodded.

My parents were escorted the other way as Hana escorted me upstairs. There steep and spiralled.

I followed her down a long hall and we came to a stop.

Hana: Betsy, this was my room when I was younger.. you'll be staying here.

She opened the door.

I let down Betsy as she ran inside.

Betsy: It's absolutely amazing! Look at all these toys! Can I play with them?

Hana: Do whatever floats your boat!

Besty giggled and simply invaded the entire room. I lightly smiled.

Hana: Okay, Jin. Follow me.

I followed behind her.

My room was just three more doors down and to the left.

She opened the door.

Almost seems like my own room but.. just a tiny bit different. I'll adjust here.

"Uh.. the drawers and the closet aren't used so.. feel free to put your clothes in them. And what not. Don't worry about cleaning up or anything.. the maids will take care of that."

"You have maids?"

"Mhm." She smiled.

I huffed. "You didn't mention you live in paradise."

She chuckled. "Paradise? Last time I checked this is a house.."

"Correction! A mansion." I winked.

She smiled. "I'm glad we'll be spending the holidays together."

..my heart.. it's throbbing.

"I'll see you later." She left.

Out of all people my dad had to be best buds with Hana's father. What does this mean? Is it fate?

-phone rings-

I answered. "Yo~"

"You won't believe who's spending the holidays at my house."

"Who?"

"Guess."

"I don't know Taehyung, just tell me."

"Ugh. You're never good at this game."

"Are you gonna tell me or not?"

He sighed. "Yoongi."

"Yes! I'm actually here with him right now. Say hey man.."

Taehyung giggled. "Heard him?"

"I heard."

"Our moms are like best friends, isn't that funny?"

Wow. That's such a coincidence.

"How's your family? You spending it well so far?"

It hasn't even started, but I'm not about to tell him I'm at Hana's MANSION and that our dads are best buds. Yoongi has a crush on her, and without a doubt he might request I stay away from her.

"Yeah..everything is.. good."

"Good. Ight I'll get going now. I'm going snowboarding. Later!"

I answered. "Hey."

"Can someone kill me now?"

I gasped loudly.

No! Jimin is bisexual! And Jungkook is still inexperienced with girls! What if Jimin plays with his feelings or worse.. his hormones! Aigoo!

"Jungkook. Stay away from Jimin as much as possible. If you can leave and spend the break at a relatives or something."

"Why are you saying that hyung?"

"Because Jimin is.."

Should I tell him?

"Put Jungkook back on the phone."

"Hello?"

I turned. "Oh.. Mr. Shin, hello."

"Are you settling in well?" He asked as he stepped into my room.

I nodded. "Yep. Thanks for inviting my family over, I'm sure we'll have a great time here."

He chuckled. "Ah Jin. You're so grown up, I remember when I saw you at orientation freshman year."

I smiled. "Oh really? Well, as my administrator, how are my grades?" I asked.

He chuckled more. "Jin you're at the top of all your classes."

I smiled. Sure am!

"I just hope my daughter will someday fall for a guy like you and not some wannabe."

Wannabe?

"Pardon me for asking this sir but.. does Hana perhaps have a boyfriend?"

"Why? You want to get with her?"

"No! I mean.. I would like that? But- Thats not why I asked..heh."

I should've kept my mouth shut.

He sighed. "As far as I'm concerned, no. Not at the moment. I hope it stays that way, my angel needs to focus on better things."

"Hey? Here's some money. I'd like you and Hana to go buy some wood."

"Wood?"

"Mhm. We're having a barn fire tonight, do you like roasted marshmallows?"

I nodded. "Yes sir!"

"Aha. I thought so, like father like son." He said.

I smiled.

"There ya go kid." He handed me the money. "Get going. I'm going to go catch up with your father."

I nodded and watched him leave.

The head administrator is actually really chill~

How come I never stepped into his office and met him? Man did I let that one slip.

Time to look for Hana!

As I walked down the hall I noticed a few family portraits, in each one I saw how Hana grew into the beautiful young lady she is today. Ahh Hana~

I went down to the kitchen.

Mrs. Shin, Hana and my mom are preparing...food? My moms chopping some vegetables and Hana's peeling potatoes while Mrs. Shin is boiling something.

Mom: Jin. Hey sweety.

"Hi umma.."

Mrs. Shin: Your mother tells me you're really smart.

I blushed.

Hana: Yeah, Jin works really hard on his studies.

Mrs. Shin: Well I hope he rubs off on you missy.

We all giggled.

"Uhm.. Hana?"

She stopped what she was doing and glared at me. "Yes?"

I told her what her dad ordered.

Hana: I'll be back soon umma!

Mrs. Shin: Okay! Be careful!

Hana and i left and took her dads car to the nearby town that had LOTS to offer. Clothing stores, markets, a pet shop. So daebak!

"Guess you didn't expect me coming from a small-town huh?"

I smiled. "No, but it suits you well."

"What's that supposed to mean?"

I giggled. "Nothing bad, I promise."

She smiled.

We got to the local market.

Hana had me follow her around the whole store as we goofed around and acted childish. Which I'm perfectly fine with, Hana's smile is so sincere and heartwarming. Her laugh is music to my ears and her presence keeps me sane.

At last we got the blocks of wood and went to the cash register.

"Jin?"

"Jackson.. hi."

"Spending the holidays back at home huh?"

I nodded. "In a way." I smiled at Hana.

"Hey Hana."

"Hi Jackson." She smiled.

Guess they know each other.

Jackson: Making a fire tonight?

Hana: *nods* actually having a barn fire tonight, you're welcome to come over?

Jackson: That won't be necessary, I'm actually working night shift. We can hang some other time?

No. Don't hangout with us -.-

I grabbed some bags and forcefully smiled at Jackson as I walked out of the store with Hana.

"Since when do you know Jackson?" I asked.

"We have class together. He's a real goofball."

I know he is.

"You know he did ask me why you pledged for BTS and not GOT7."

"What'd you say?"

"I told him the truth."

"He didn't mind though, he thinks you're more suited for them anyways."

We got back in the car and drove back home.

"Oh yeah? So what'd you have to do to 'prove' yourself?" She asked.

I only told Hana about our first mission.

"Aigoo.. wolves and woods? No thanks. I'd rather die first than go through that. Wow Jin, you're so brave."

I chuckled.

At last we got back to her house and bought in the wood. From there on I helped my dad and Mr. Shin set up the fire and anything else we needed. Hana helped my mom and hers with the food. Betsy played with their dog, a boy pitbull named Momo, I'm surprised she isn't scared of him. I didn't even notice the dog anyway.

From the looks of it, I think I MIGHT enjoy my break here, with Hana, and her family.

"Mine's done." I carefully held my stick as I grabbed some sugar crackers and gently placed my roasted marshmallow on it then put another sugar cracker on top. Ahh~

Mom: Betsy, here.

Mrs. Shin: This is nice, isn't it?

Dad: Of course it is, the fire keeps us warm.

Betsy: Ah it's hot!

Hana: Here Betsy, you can have mine.

I smiled as I watched Hana hand Betsy her roasted marshmallow. So sweet of her.

Mrs. Shin: So Jin, your father told me you pledged for a sorority.

Ugh. Can they stop bringing it up? It only reminds me of the humiliation and Jimin .-.

"Yeah..guess I decided to do something different this year.."

Hana: I know you got in, BTS Fraternity is really hard to get into. But you pulled through. (Smiles)

I blushed.

Mr. Shin: I remember your dad requested me to accept you right away! Haha.

Dad: Oh yeah. Thanks again for doing that favor for me.

Wait.. so what I did to get into BigHit wasn't necessary?!

I got up. "I'll go for a walk now."

Mom: Honey..

Hana: I'll go with you.

"Uh..ok." i wasn't expecting that.

Mrs. Shin: Don't go too far guys.

I left without another word as Hana followed me, it was quiet. I decided to go sit near the huge lake that was just a few feet from their house. I noticed the mini board walk and the big yacht.

"Is that your dads?" I asked regarding the big white yacht.

She nodded. "He takes it for a spin here and there, but mostly in the summer."

I nodded.

"Is something the matter? You seem like.. out of it."

I sighed. "Finding out that all your hard work was for nothing.. kinda sucks."

"What do you mean?"

"Didn't you hear our dads back there? I was only accepted because they're best buds. I knew it was too good to be true." I pouted.

She giggled.

"What's funny?" I asked.

She giggled. "Oh Jin. All your hard work did not go to waste. Sure probably what you did to get IN was unnecessary..but everything else was all you."

True..hm. now I feel like I just threw a bitch fit -.-

I felt her hand on my shoulder. "Don't ever doubt yourself so much. You're a strong independent guy, Jin."

My heart throbbed.

"I thought I was just as strong and independent. Pfft..boy was I wrong." She said as she crossed her arms and glared out into the night view of the gloomy lake.

"What college did you go to before BigHit?" I asked.

She sighed. "I wasn't in any college, I took online courses.."

Hm.

"But.. my parents thought it was ruining me..which kinda was true. I was being so irresponsible and rude. Not my fault I was living the time of my life."

Interesting.

"It was either boot camp or college, and I wasn't ready to get sent to a place where they yell at you all day for being a bad kid." She scoffed.

I wonder why they even had that option, Hana seems beyond harmless.

"So that's why I ended up going to BigHit."

"I thought you said you always wanted to go there and that's why you transferred?"

"I may have said a lot of things.."

Wow. I really don't know anything about Hana, or what kinda things she's capable of, but nonetheless I can't imagine her being a rebel. She's so angel like.

"Jin..have you ever..been in love?"

She turned to look at my blank expression.

"Well?"

"Uhm...I'm not sure how to answer that."

She smiled. "Disregard that question."

I nodded.

I wonder why she asked?

"This view is so pretty.." she said.

"Mhm."

She bent down and picked up a few rocks, then she flicked one and watched it as it jumped into the lake.
