Emily awoke in Aaron's arms the day after their surprise engagement party in the park. She tried not to wake him but when she moved he stirred and smiled to her.

"Good morning baby, how are you?" He kissed her.

"Morning yourself, I didn't mean to wake you!" She kissed him back.

"I've been half awake for about an hour, afraid to move in case I woke you"

They both laughed slightly and kissed each other again until Emily jumped upright and out of the bed running into the bathroom, locking the door behind her.

Aaron got up and went to chap on the door. From the outside he could hear her throwing up.

"Emily, baby are you okay?"

For a brief second she was able to answer him,

"Yeah babe I'm doing alright, it's nothing you need to see though, get back in bed I'll join you in a few"

He thought for a minute about what to say to her but decided just to get back in bed as she asked.

A few minutes later she emerged from the bathroom and climbed back under the comforter and cuddled into Aaron, stroking his bare chest.

"Emily, maybe we should get you checked out. You may have a touch of the flu or something, it's better to find out?"

She wasn't sure why she was so afraid to tell him she was pregnant. Yes she loved him, they lived together, they have been together for over 2 years and they were engaged but children was something they had never brought up. What if Hotch didn't want another baby. What if he left her because she was pregnant and called off the wedding? She didn't want to risk losing the life she loves, or the man she loves.

Emily moved so she was straddling him and kissed him slowly.

"Baby don't worry I'm fine, come on let's go get some breakfast and get ready for work. We don't want to be late. My boss would kill me."

He hit her playfully and they both laughed. They got up, threw on robes and went to prepare breakfast.

Half an hour later they were heading out the door for the BAU and another long day ahead.

Luckily for the team there was no cases popping up that they would have to travel. There were a few consults over the phone but mainly just paper work.

About an hour after arrival Emily could feel it coming again and bolted to the bathroom, nearly knocking Reid over, forgetting to lock the door behind her.

Aaron seen her and got up and followed her to the girls bathroom.

He knocked and knelt behind her stroking her back. Until she turned and out her back against the wall and her head in her hands. Aaron sat beside her stroking her thigh.

"Baby we need to get you to a doctor. You've not been right for a while and I think we need to get you checked over."

"I've been to a doctor Aaron and it's not the flu trust me"

She hadn't even realised what she'd said but she could already feel the tears pouring from her eyes.

"What do you mean you've been to a doctor? What's going on Emily? You can tell me anything?"

"Aaron" she looked up so she could see into his eyes."I.. I'm..." She took a breath and tried again. "I'm pregnant." She put her head back in her hands and the tears kept falling.

She heard Aaron stand up and was expecting him to walk out and leave her but he pulled her up so she was standing and gave her the most passionate of kisses. His hands found her belly, where the baby would grow in a few months.

"Emily, why are you crying? This is one of the best things ever! We're having a baby! You and I! I love you and I already love our little one because I know it's part of the two of us!"

Emily smiled and hugged him.

"I was just afraid Aaron. I was afraid you'd leave because you didn't want more kids or you didn't want me anymore because in a few months I'll be the size of a whale!"

He kissed her to silence her..

"Emily, I can't believe you'd ever think that. I love you, we're going to get married and have a baby! This is a life I could only ever once dream about. After Haley I was sure I would never be happy again but then you came into my life. Truth be told I've often dreamt about you being swollen with my baby and I've never seen anything so beautiful."

"Oh Aaron!" Emily jumped into his arms and kissed him with so much love and passion. "I'm so happy! I can't believe this, it's all so surreal!"

"Well believe it Honey! I'm so happy!"

"When will we tell Jack?" Emily asked as they were leaving the bathroom in each others arms.

"We can tell him on Saturday, he's coming to stay. Should we tell the team?"

"Yeah, I think we should. I won't be able to hide it for long anyway. Between running to the bathroom and when peanut decides to make her self noticeable"

"Her?" Aaron turned to face her stopping dead in his tracks.

"What?"

"You just said her! Are we having a baby girl?"

"Yeah we are! None of this went down the way I thought it would"

"Oh baby! We're having a girl" Aaron said with clear excitement in his voice.

They continued their walk to the bullpen and gathered everyone's attention.

"Everyone, Emily and I have some news. WE'RE HAVING A BABY GIRL!"

Everyone cheered and came up to congratulate the couple giving them hugs and kisses and handshakes for the gentleman.

Emily slipped out from the crowd that had drawn and went to the window and looked out. She placed her hand over her belly and said just loud enough

"I love you peanut, your mummy and daddy will you always love you along with all your aunties and uncles. We can't wait to meet you. Hang in there baby girl"

Aaron had been at the door and heard the whole thing and came in and wrapped his arms around Emily from behind.

"I love you Em"

"I love you too Aaron."
