-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Okay, last box, and then I can start unpacking. You wanted more decorations for your room so you went to get some without Spencer. You're more than capable of going to the store and getting decorations despite his worries about you and this new life. You want to get this project done as fast as possible so you can begin your new life with Spencer.
You take out some decorative pillows and toss them onto the bed when you see one of the pictures you put on top of the dresser. Your parents are side by side wearing big beautiful smiles. It's their wedding day and your mother wore the same kind of wedding dress as you had. They look so happy here. You hope to be just as happy as they are now that you're with Spencer and not the man you were supposed to marry.
He belongs with that other Princess and you wish nothing but the best for them.
You lay out the things being put on the walls onto the bed so you and Spencer can hang them up later. Everything else either goes inside the closet or scattered about the bedroom. When you're done, you walk onto the balcony and lean against the railing with a content sigh. People pass by down below as they go about their daily life which makes you think of your life with Spencer. There are no more secrets between you and Spencer. Every question he asked about you and your royalty life, you answered with complete honesty.
It's time you found your happy ending.
Something flashes in your peripheral vision and you look up to see rain clouds and lightning in the distance. Rain. Your favorite kind of weather. Spencer hates it when you play in the rain because you almost always get sick but it's worth the bliss you feel. Maybe this time, you'll convince him to play with you.
Spencer walks into the bedroom and smiles when he sees you on the balcony. He walks over to you and wraps his arms around your waist to pull you closer.
"How's my princess?" he grins.
"I was just waiting for you to come back."
"Yeah, I had to make a few calls but I'm all yours now."
He leans in and presses soft kisses to your neck. The kind of kisses that make the butterflies dance in your stomach.
"We need to hang the stuff on the wall."
"It can wait. Come to bed with me."
You turn in his arms and notice everything you put on the bed is now on the small lounge chair in the corner of the room. You wrap your arms around him and kiss him lovingly.
"Okay."
Spencer sweeps you off your feet and you giggle all the way to the bed where he lays you down. The balcony doors stay open and allow the noise of the bustling city of Quantico to bring you comfort. That's something your small country could never have done for you, and you're better off for it.
