Chapter 003

I was woken up by the sound of foots steps.  I don't know how but my hearing is spot on. Armin was here again.

"I knew you would be here so I brought this."

I open my eyes and sat up to see the book. He comes whenever I am trying to rest. It such a pain.

He began to read the book once again. I think they are coming. I look to see the brunette in tears. I wonder why he was crying. I rested my head on hand.

"Dam Mikasa had told my parents about the Scout Regiment and they didn't take it well. More like my mom."

He sat next to me. He then turned to me. I didn't bother to turn and listen to his weeping any longer.

"Violet what do you think of the Scouts. I never heard your opinion."

What did I think of them. I simply don't put my attention on them. I guess what they are doing isn't that bad. It like the military but they still didn't find the answers to that.

"People who are willing to fight for us knowing death is more likely to happen."

I guess he liked my answer. He hug me. I was surprise I hardly know this kid.

"You are distancing yourself again"

I felt the pain. I held my head. It hurt. Those words sound like Eren but deeper. I stood up.I held a X with my hands. I don't understand why I don't say words. I just don't feel like it.

I heard something. I turn to the wall. Was it just my imagination.

I think it's time for me to go back. I was about to turn to go home. But he grab my hand and ran. I look to see him headed not to my home. He ran through the village.

He then turn and he stop.

"Ahh isn't that Eren"

I move my head and saw a soldier from the garrison regiment.

"Is that your girlfriend"

He suddenly let go of my hand. I look down to where he had held my hand.

"She is not my girlfriend. And what is that smell, are you drinking again. Aren't you on duty"

He pinch his nose from the smell. So this was Hannes. He ignore Eren and walked over to me.

"Hey kiddo new friend of Eren"

I look at him. How did he become a soldier. I remember the three years were hell according to him. I look at him. I nodded my head sideways.

"Oh your aren't hahahahha look Eren she not your friend"

Eren walked over to me.

"Sorry but Violet doesn't like talking to people like you"

He then kick the him and ran.

I heard the bell. The crowed stood there. The gates had open. I look to see soldiers coming in. They look wounded.

He pull a crate and lifted me to it. I saw them. He stood next to me. I turn my head to his direction to see him smiling. I look back to them.

"Have you guys see my son Moses"

I remember this scene. It's where they give her the hand. I turn to the other side to see Mikasa and Armin. Let's just stay for a while.

I place my hand on his eyes. I guess a child couldn't see that. I made eye contact with a guy. Isn't he that powerful something along the lines. I removed my hand and jump off the crate.

I should go home before she.

I laid underneath the tree.  But not alone.

"Violet how old are you"I sat up and thought about it.

"I don't know. 8 or 9 I presume"

"You don't know your age"

Eren started to make jokes about me. Well I honestly don't have a clue.

I heard something. I stood up. I look to the wall. It couldn't be. The ground began to shake. I ran to the direction where I could get a view.

They soon stood next to me and stood in fear. I saw Armin shaking. They were all shaking. The titans had all come in. I stood and look at them. I didn't fear them. Maybe because I know their origins.

"Armin go to your grandfather. I will go after the others"

He finally got to his sense and ran.  I turn the corner but I stop. I can't did she make it the boat. I ran to the direction of my house.

I open the door. I walked in to see it all chaotic but not from a titan. Blood was splatter. I walked inside to see my mother on the floor. I rush to her. She was barely breathing. I look to see a knife stab to her chest.

"Mother what happened to you. Who did this why are you bleeding. Why are you laying here."

I was just hear for a year and here I am crying. I felt pain. I had gotten attach to her. I wasnt even her daughter yet I was selfish and played along to have a mother with me. I was selfish. I didn't even acknowledge. I'm sorry.

"Its okay Violet."

She held my hand and placed a gem. It was green. I look to her, wasnt this her necklace. I c

"I am not your daughter. I had lied to you, I am not your daughter." I had to tell her.

"I just woke up here. I don't know how old I am. Sorry"

I cried with the tears falling down. I couldnt stop them. I had lied .I had to tell her before she leaves. I felt someone hand on my cheek.

"Violet, I knew from the day you had woke that my daughter was no longer there. Violet had suffer from a trauma and she was someone who would stay in bed. When you called me mother, I was happy to hear those words. I don't care who you are but you are my daughter and I love you Violet Ackerman."

She stop but continue

"I want to be selfish but live. I want you to live strong and healthy. Please my daughter live and save the people you care about. Even if you are not Violet. Please live for her."

I felt her hand drop off from my cheek and fell to the floor along with her body. I heard my mother breath for the last time. She fell to the floor a loud bang.

It all happen to fast. A hand came and grab her body. I look down to see blood on my hand. I place the necklace around my neck. I walk outside. It was the reason I didn't want to think. 

The screaming and yelling of people didn't seem to bother me.  I walked down the village I had come to consider my home. People bodies lied dead on the ground. I turn to see the titan that ate my mother heading my way. I stood and watch it come closer. Do you want to eat something alive now.

"Why did you eat her. I couldn't even give her a proper farewell. Did you know my mother was killed not by you guys but by a person. She knew I wasn't her daughter and she care about me. Since the day I came."

I closed my eyes. It was for the good to die. I don't want to see this story any longer. I felt some arms around my body and I was put on someone shoulder. I open my eyes to see the titan standing far away. I look at it then to the ground. I saw the raven head and the other.

"Kid you not trying to die right."

"Hannes my mother was killed and eaten by that titan. Who told you to save me. I have to die. I can't live. please put me down."

I started to hit his back. I didn't have force to hit. I could see their eyes in surprise. Someone wanted to die. I need to die. I kick him.

"WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU. VIOLET MY MOTHER WAS EATEN IN FRONT OF ME. WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO FUCKEN DIE."

We arrived to the ship. He set me down and push us towards the boat. I wasnt moving he then held my shoulder.

"Please kiddo, many people had died. Soldiers are dying at least do it for your mother." At least do it for her.

He push me to the boat and it took off.

Eren began to shout louder and louder. I didnt want to be here. I have to die, Ackerman but I dont look like one. Why would someone killed my mother. I was hit in the forehead by someone head. I look to see the teal eyes.

"WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU"

"Eren my mother was not killed by a titan she was stab by a person. I heard her last words. her last breath. I held her body, lifeless. I had stain my hands with her blood. To see a titan grab her body from me. I don't deserve to live. If I live it will make it worst."

"Violet you will live for your mother and avenge her for her death. We had all made a promised to see the Sea. I have lost people right in front of my face. But I move one. you should not die.'

I was hug by Mikasa. I had forgotten about her past. She used her scarf to clean my tears. I stood there. Was this me now. I felt angry I don't want to stay and watch this.

I have the burden of memories, I don't know what to do. I don't even know who Violet is.
