« Chapter Eight - Month Eight »

00:59, 30 April 2020

I was now eight months along, only a little longer and I'll be able to hold and kiss my darlings.

"You are my sunshine~ my only sunshine~You make me happy when skies are gray~You'll never know dear, how much I love you~ Please don't take my sunshine away~," I sung softly as I rubbed my large belly. It was 3am and I was sitting down stairs in the kitchen, munching on a pickle, my most recent craving.

"Love?"

"FUCK," I jumped, holding a hand a hand to my heart, nearly jumping out of my own skin.

"I'm pregnant Charles! Don't scare me like that before I go into labour from shock!" I wheezed as he chuckled.

"What're you doing?," he questioned, spotting the feast in front of me.

"My babies were hungry and like the amazing mum I am, I got my butt out of bed to get a snack," I smiled innocently as he shook his head in amusement.

"You should have woke me, I would have made you something," he spoke wrapping his arms around my waist from behind, placing a gentle kiss on my shoulder making me grin, placing a kiss on his lips.

"Our mums are coming over tomorrow to bug us again about names," I hummed in understanding, a yawn silencing me.

"Okay, time to go back to bed," I nodded in agreement, allowing him to lead me back up to the bed and falling into a blissful sleep in the warmth of his arms.

"Charlie help!!!!!" I called out and he came running up the stairs, our mothers not too far behind him.

"What's wrong love? Are you okay? Did your water break?" He panicked, my mum sniggering behind him at my predicament.

"I can't reach down to pull my leggings on," I pouted, stretching down to try reach them and he sighed in relief, smiling as he helped me pull them on.

"Thank you husband dearest," I pinched his cheek as I passed him, following our mother.

"You're like a penguin love," he joked as I waddled down the stairs.

"It's not my fault I'm so big I can hardly move;" I huffed, carefully settling into the dining room chair as Charlie set a cup of tea in front of me.

"How're you feeling dear?" Molly asked and I smiled softly at the older woman.

"The cravings and morning sickness are a bit annoying but it'll be worth it when I'm finally able to kiss my little darlings," I sighed in content.

"Have you thought about any names yet?" Mum asked and Charlie and I shared a soft smile.

"Well, we wanted their names to mean something because they're your first grandkids. So for the boys we were thinking Gideon and Fabian, after your brothers and Lillian for the little girl after Auntie Lillian," My mother's sister had always been a soft topic for her, she had only been 13 when she died, killed by deatheaters and I knew my mum always blamed herself, seen as it had happened because she had refused the dark mark.

Tears sprang from both women's eyes as they rose from the table, enclosing us in tight hugs. My hormones got the best of me because as soon as I heard my mums quiet sobbing, I completely broke down, holding onto them tightly, my mum gasping in happiness when she felt a kick from one of my babies.

"I love you mum," I sniffed as she wiped the tears from my eyes with her thumbs, her hands cupping my face gently , smiling as she placed her forehead against mine.

"I love you too, my sunshine,"

"RONALD WEASLEY, WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN MY KITCHEN, WHY ARE YOU NOT WITH HARRY AND HERMIONE????" I questioned angrily, glaring dangerously at the two red heads sitting at the dining room table. It was the middle of the night when I realised my husband was no longer in bed with me and went to investigate only to find this.

"I can explain- wow youre very pregnant," he went to say but then saw the size of my bump.

"Yes Ronald, last time I checked,"

"I just need time away from them," he sighed sadly and all my anger dissipated as my motherly instincts kicked in.

"Come here," I sighed, opening my arms and he immediately stepped into my embrace, hugging me tightly as I rubbed circles on his back.

"Do you want something to eat or drink? You're awfully thin," I spoke softly and he nodded.

I entered the kitchen and immediately got to work making him a large Ulster fry, I knew he'd go back to them eventually so I was going to fatten him up while I could.

He and Charlie continued to converse in the dining room and as soon as I placed the large plate of food down in front of him he dug in, clearing the plate in minutes. Only then did I notice how tired he looked.

"Here, Charlie will take your bags up to the spare room and you can get a shower and get some rest, I'll make you some tea with sleeping draught in it while you shower so you can get a peaceful sleep, something tells me you haven't had one of those in a while," I stated and he nodded in agreement, I ruffled his hair and pointed him in the direction of the bathroom as I made the tea and cast a warming charm on it, leaving it on the bedside table of the guest room.

"I'm worried about him," I whispered with my arms crossed as Charlie came up behind me.

"Me too," he muttered.

"He is not leaving this house until he gets some proper meals and sleep, he's too young to be this stressed," I sighed, rubbing a tired hand over my face.

"Let's get some sleep love, you need your rest,"

"Yeah, okay lets go,"
